We've been in search for a new preschool for my daughter and found this on yelp with great reviews…read more My husband did virtual tour with Crystal and she was great at that time. We've been on their waitlist since August 2022. My husband an I called them for an update here and there and they started treating us unpleasant after making a few calls for an update. I called them again beginning of December 2022 to let them know that we are moving next year 2023 since we are a military family and hoping for an update of where my daughter stands in their waitlist. Crystal called me the next day to let me know they apparently have an opening for my daughter (right away?? glad I called). However, due to the increasing number of RSV and flu cases at that time, my husband and I decided to give my daughter's spot to the next kid for now but we'll take the next one since we're supposed to be next in line anyway and they were okay with it. Moving forward to today MID -FEBRUARY 2023 already still no update nor anything. If my daughter is already next in their waitlist I don't think the wait should be this long. I guess we just paid $80 (nonrefundable) for a reservation for nothing! I cant speak for the education and care provided to children as my daughter didnt even get to attend this school. However, my husband and I didnt appreciate how we were treated whenever we call for an update here and there by Crystal. She was just nice at the beginning with us.

I have loved the way they've prepared my kids for the next level class and eventually kindergarten. I love the balance of being involved in my children's education without the commitment of homeschooling that I cannot do at this time. I appreciate their mindfulness approach to education and resources.

Both my children thrived in this preschool, and it's honestly been so helpful for me as a parent. We have met dear friends and really felt like we have been part of a community. I have also learned so much about early childhood development and been given so many tools that have helped me grow into my role as a mom. I love that the curriculum is play based and has a strong focus on social emotional development. It's also a very open minded, supportive and accepting community, which was very important to me when I was initially looking into schools. The teachers have been absolutely stellar, I learn so much from watching them and the way they lovingly and respectfully interact with each child. Parent involvement is essential in a co-op environment and you (or in some cases with full time working parents, another family member such as a grandparent, etc.) work in the school for several days through each month, which was a good fit for our family (I loved being there and wanted to be part of my kiddos early school experience) but it's of course not right for everyone's situation. That said, this program is wonderful for children with separation anxiety, as parents can stay as needed as their child transitions. (It's also great for families struggling with potty training, as it's not a requirement for enrollment.) This next year will be our 6th and final year, as our youngest will be graduating. I'll miss it tremendously, and I know my family (both my kiddos and I) will fondly carry the beautiful memories we made here for the rest of our lives.

The warmth, care, and personal attention they give each child in their small group have made such a meaningful difference in his growth and development. We've seen his skills, language, confidence, and joy exceed every expectation we had. Jamie and Carlos strike a perfect balance of structured activities, indoor and outdoor play, and fun "field trips" to the park that keep him engaged and eager to learn each day. He's genuinely excited to be dropped off every morning, which speaks volumes. We couldn't ask for a better environment for our son!

They are so different from other local pre-schools. They really get the children thinking early on. They put on plays, go on educational field trips and even have their own amazing art teacher who allows the children to just create. I really enjoyed working in the class. I got to know the other students well too. I was able to bring share some of my own ideas too which was fun. When my boys reached kindergarten they were so prepared for it. And I have to say the La Famiglia alumi I am still in touch with (about 10) are all thriving in school and are some of the most confident children in their classes. I couldn't recommend this school more highly. La Famiglia is aptly named. It really does feel like a family.

They create the most loving, fun, positive environment every single day. And at the same time, my child continued to surprise me with how much she was learning. We had to move out of state and the hardest part about leaving was knowing I'd have to put my child in another preschool- no place will ever live up to this, that's just the truth! We have had a lot of other great childcare experiences, but CLC is just another level! If you have the opportunity to get your child in here, I highly recommend it!

Each of the teachers…read morewe've met and center leadership have all been spectacular to work with, nothing but great feedback to give. Since our initial tour visit when we were expecting, we saw so many kids interacting with their teachers as they were leaving for the day with so much love and enthusiasm. From the Infant A room; Ms. Sheryl, Ms. Megan and Ms. Davina all gave our son such a great environment to develop his initial skills, independent play time, group play and developed friendships with some of the other kids. They were all so mindful of his individual likes and difficulties, we knew we could always ask questions and get great feedback on how to better align our home activities with skills in the classroom. Through the Infant B room, Ms. Sara was a huge help to get him through his milestones until he was ready to move on to the Toddler room. I love seeing all the teachers for the little ones work well together and shift between rooms depending on where they needed more coverage. We understand this age is difficult and would regularly see Ms Alice or Ms Shawn jump in where needed and were always so passionate about the kids and keeping everyone safe. Now that he is in the Toddler room, we have seen a huge leap in his sign language skills, motor skills, object identification and eating abilities....even learning how to throw away his plate and cleaning up after himself. A huge shout out to Ms Cheryl in this class, she welcomes him every morning with such a huge smile, greeting and excitement for the day. Even when he is sad to see Mom and Dad leave, she's quick to get him smiling and sometimes even sends pictures showing what a happy boy he is shortly after. Each of the teachers in this room have been amazing and regularly see pictures of them playing with the kids and great interactions with them all when we pick him up early, Ms. Frida, Ms. Kaileia and Ms. Davina are all fantastic. I'm sure there are other teachers that have helped our son along the way but wanted to give a big shout out especially to these staff members that we've interacted with regularly. The center also coordinates fun activities for parents to join and play with their kids - a summer foam party, trunk or treat, ice cream party and valentine's day parties. Of course the kids have fun classroom events throughout the year and celebrate birthdays and holidays together. All parents get nervous dropping off their kids to a daycare but we have always gotten so much relief knowing he is in great hands with caring teachers and always comes home happy with new skills learned everyday. We highly recommend KinderCare Ventura to all fellow parents and even his grandparents have been really happy with the care and learning he receives at this center.

This is the worst tour/ experience I have ever had visiting a children's learning institution…read more Every person I interacted with had a nasty disposition in the sense that they did not want to be there (at work). Most of the teachers looked exhausted and the student to teacher ratio was laughable at how many kids they stuck with those teachers. For any children that have any disabilities I highly suggest looking elsewhere. The lead kept making excuses to step away to go sneak into her bosses office to gossip/decide if my child was something they wanted to take on and deal with. It left me angry for my little one and disgusted that these are the people parents are choosing to leave their children with, the good lord only knows what happens when no one is around. Also the play area in the back is a joke. Childcare is super expensive no matter where you choose to enroll. But the playground leaves more to be desired and is old and makes you wonder why would I pay so much to invest in my kiddo coming here when they obviously aren't investing the money back into the kids. Long story short if I could give them 0 stars I would, and I implore any parent thinking of sending their child here; disabilities or otherwise to keep your options open. There are tons of great schools in the area, and this is the honest review more people need to know about. Not the fake 4/5 star service reviews that clearly were not demonstrated on this day. Happy New Year and school hunting to the parents out there!
