It's usually fine but I see people on other reviews have come in from far away without calling and it's just a good idea to call if it's a mom and pop nursery and you have a long drive. My favorite fruit was white sapote, cherimoya, the bazillions of types of guavas they have, ice cream bean was delicious, and I never knew palms have delicious fruit (what????). I come about twice a year from San Diego and as San Diego nurseries go, this place is in a league of its own. When I got to the nursery, It look like another mom pops little nursery place from the exterior, but to my surprise, this place appears bigger than the Costco parking lots combined, jammed packed with trees. It can be overwhelming because of the large selections. Every trees appeared to be thriving and healthy, with many already have fruits. The place was big so I was clueless where to begin. Thank God Gio found me. He is so knowledgeable, professional, kind, funny, and has lots of patience to deal with a picky and curious person like me. He takes his time to show me around. I was lucky to try many different selections of fruits, some I can compared to store bought and many I haven't heard of. The fruits you get from the nursery tasted so much different than the store bought one, more fresh and flavorful in my opinions. I ended up buying a couple trees and am looking forward to buy more in the future. When asked if the issue was if they were out of stock, she replied "oh we can't tell the difference until they bloom." Yet over half of the plants are unlabeled. It lead to us aimlessly wandering around to see if they had a specific variety labeled. Overall, why a vast selection, it's sorta useless if you can't help customers identify them. Very disappointed I wasted my time, Saturday and the gas to leave empty handed. It may be a different story during the week or if we had a different attendant but overall, not worth my effort.
