I almost felt guilty paying so little for these beautiful plants but hey...if that's what she's charging, I'm ALL FOR IT. I was like a kid in a candy store. Amalia has more varieties than I knew existed and of every size imaginable. I picked up a tray of 15 succulents for $20! Twenty bucks, peeps! That's insane! I adore my succulents and am going to add an obscene amount more now thanks to my new buddy, Amalia. AND BRING CASH.

I came to this place hoping to walk through real quick and instead I spent almost 30 minutes browsing before I finally had to leave for work. This place is amazing. They have such a wide variety of succulents, big and small. They even have variegated succulents which all seemed pretty healthy. I was able to find some varieties that were on my wishlist; ones that I couldn't find at any of the other neighboring nurseries. So happy that I found this place! Definitely bring cash as they don't take card. Small two -inch pots are $1, the round four-inch pots are $2, and they sell flats for $1

This place is a hidden gem. It is full of so many different types of succulents that you could create all kinds of combinations or statement pots. The prices are very reasonable $1 for the smallest size succulents. Great place for wedding or baby shower giveaways. Other reviews are right about limited parking but it is an easy walk uphill to one of the greenhouses. Bring cash and change if you are going to make a small purchase. Great way to spend an hour walking through and getting the plants that best suit your character. Will go back again :)

Huge selection of healthy, beautiful succulents, many flowering, good prices... I will save myself time and come back here in the future. Also very sweet people running the place! Very fun experience.

Its's located in what looks like the middle of a neighborhood, but once you go in, you'll be amazed at the selection. There is plenty to look at, and the prices are unbeatable! One side is owned by a man who sells wholesale, and the other side is owned by a woman. I wanted one of each succulent, definitely will be coming back! *CASH ONLY

Yes, a little run down and a bit awkward when I first entered (no one was manning the store and there were no signage), but found some cool rare succulents here, which made up for the above. Love finding rarities. The lady who helped us was nice; I had to use my broken Spanish to communicate that I didn't realize it was cash only. She kindly saved my finds until I got back from the bank even though it meant coming back after their business hours (which I felt bad about). Overall quite happy with my purchases from here.

This place is a succulent junkie heaven .Row upon row of succulents you can choose from.

This place is a succulent junkie paradise. There are row upon row of healthy succulent plants to choose from. Reasonably priced too. Highly recommend to all succulent lovers out there. Will definitely come back when were are in SoCal.

I am so excited about my haul from Amelia's! 75 cents for littles, $1.50 for mediums. SOO many succulents to choose from! Many were spilling out of their cups! I went to Home Depot first to get supplies to make planters and wasn't sure if I was going to swing by the nursery so I payed the too much for 3 succulents there, then figured "hey, it's pretty much on the way home, just swing by", and I'm so glad I did. Ended up buying 20 mediums The nursery is easy to find, just follow E Taylor Rd to the end, then turn right on the dirt road and drive up to the first white tent. The gentleman restocking helped me carry my goods to my car. Don't hesitate to check this place out, it has good ratings for a reason.

Extremely affordable we went here to get favors for a boho theme baby shower the selection is HUGE would recommend parking on the street as the driveway is a little tight. All of our guests loved the variety of succulents and a majority are still thriving even after repotting

There's a fruit tasting table and I remember the first time I came in and tasted some fruit I'd never even heard of before. If you're a foodie or if you enjoy rare or tropical fruit or even if you're a fan of botanical gardens, this place is amazing It's a mom and pop place (actually just a pop place cause I think the owner Steve who started it still runs it by himself). The sign said they have been here since the 80s. Anyway because it's a small nursery and open 7 days a week, it's a good idea to call if you're planning to make a long journey to visit just to make sure they haven't stepped out. It's usually fine but I see people on other reviews have come in from far away without calling and it's just a good idea to call if it's a mom and pop nursery and you have a long drive. My favorite fruit was white sapote, cherimoya, the bazillions of types of guavas they have, ice cream bean was delicious, and I never knew palms have delicious fruit (what????). I come about twice a year from San Diego and as San Diego nurseries go, this place is in a league of its own. I even just like walking around in there to relax cause it's almost like a fruit botanical garden. And some of the small stuff is very affordable Highly recommend if you have a few hours free to explore this place. It's a great nursery -- kinda like the Garden of Eden!

Unfortunately, we lived in Encinitas so the climate didn't allow the avocado to thrive but she loved getting Asian/Hawaiian plants, and fruits from this nursery. The scene that will greet you is a dirt path and two-sided parking spaces. Try them, very wooded and dense, like you are in the forest, which I loved since I am from back East and we have huge trees and green wooded areas. The staff are very knowledgeable and the value is great. If your plant doesn't grow, call them, and they guide you or replace the plant. I love this place. If I had a house, I would be here for my roses and fruit plants.

I was lucky to try many different selections of fruits, some I can compared to store bought and many I haven't heard of. The fruits you get from the nursery tasted so much different than the store bought one, more fresh and flavorful in my opinions. I ended up buying a couple trees and am looking forward to buy more in the future. This is my new favorite nursery to visit and highly recommend to anybody who wants to buy quality plants from people who know their products well. Their price is decent and candid. The experience from start to finish was refreshing and fun, and thanks to Gio, I walked out feeling happy and confident of my purchase.

Jungle Jack's!! The name alone makes you wanna go. The only difficulty was their hours, as most days they close at 2pm. Luckily we had the perfect opportunity with it being the Valentine Day weekend, I wanted to get my wife something special and we took the whole family up to Jungle Jack's. While it was a little out of the way the drive was certainly worth it, nice to see all parts of San Diego. When we arrived we found some parking and started to walk around. The nursery itself is massive - tons of space with a huge assortment of plants along with a metric ton of Plumeria. My personal favorite aspects were the theme - they didn't shy away from the Jungle aspect of the name. Ended up sitting in some pretty cool Elephant chairs where I met the adorable dog aka: Cowboy. We found everything we were looking for and the staff were not only knowledgable but super friendly. Was such a treat to go out there - our family felt very welcomed. We certainly made some big purchases that day - it felt like it was well worth the investment. Not only with the quality of the plants, but wanting to support the store. Gotta love supporting local businesses. If you are looking for some Plumeria this is certainly a nursery to check out.
