The Olde Mill House Shoppes is two different buildings - the old stone house and an old barn - that have a wide selection of stuff that women love to shop like rugs, furniture, lighting, home decor, kitchen gadgets, pantry items, women's clothing and accessories. They also have a floral department that I think makes wreaths. My favorite part of the shoppes was the old stone house. Aside from admiring the lovely architecture I enjoyed looked at kitchen gadgets, kitchen decor, pantry items like bread mixes and such. I loved the creek of the floors too. It was a very charming experience. A lot of the furniture was definitely in the Shaker and colonial styles. The lighting section was amazing. Lots of early American inspired design lighting. I wasn't in the market for lighting so I moved on to other things. The rug section was fun to peruse. I saw they sold one of my favorite brands - Dash and Albert. They also had a lot of braided rugs. Regarding the clothing section in the refurbished barn, it wasn't really my style but it seemed like there were some regular customer in there having an absolute ball shopping for some new outfits. It kind of reminded me of the fun, comfy and colorful styles you might find at Chico's. Aside from the above, there was plenty more to look at like some linens, wall art, candles, etc. Overall, this was a fun place to explore and a great place to stop in while in Lancaster County.

Add them to your list the next time you're looking for furniture! Here's why...Shopping at any store (for anything) is only as good as the Customer Service. The first thing that's noticeable is "Mom & Pop" atmosphere, but not in appearance. No its in the greeting, the welcome, the smile, the helpfulness, the patience, etc.etc.etc! The thing we appreciate about shopping Yorktowne is they allow you to explore without rushing you OR without feeling as though you're being pounced on before you're barely in the door. The point is, they have it all. Not only when it comes to Customer Service but also their furniture. They have many different styles and different levels of quality and price ranges. We love that the store is still family oriented upholding the kindness of original store atmosphere which has been in the community for many many years. Jess, her Husband and Son are incredibly kind and helpful! Thank you for making our purchase a pleasure and for being patient as we were trying to make our decision. You're all amazing, and it was the best experience we've had in Customer Service for some time. If that isn't enough, when we called to make a time for delivery, I had the most amazing and fun conversation with a lovely woman (we haven't met yet) as we talked and made a date for delivery. She's a great addition to your team, I appreciated her fun loving personality, she's perfect! AND--we certainly will not forget the young men who made the delivery just as pleasant as the first step in the store. They were very personable and friendly, so thank you guys for closing our experience with your pleasant and professional service! "Rare" is an excellent word (in this day and age) to describe our experience at Yorktowne Furniture, Co. We can't say enough good things, can you tell? We love our Sofa!!! Terry & Vicki K

Do NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE - Nothing they say is true…read more Our sales consultant said they would provide 3 day shipping/delivery. This was important as my Mom died and we wanted to get my Dad set up in his new apartment quickly. We ordered the furniture on August 26th. It is a month later AND WE STILL DO NOT HAVE THE ITEMS WE ORDERED. They just keep sending text saying shipping to their warehouse is delayed. No updates or calls from the store - no remedy 3 DAY SHIPPING IS A JOKE - Not even sure we will have the item in 3 months. And, of course, we paid for the item in full - not a custom item. I reiterated that I wanted the specific set that I went there to buy. He said they might not have it and asked me to consider the other brand. He had no reasons for what makes it better, and it felt cheap compared to the quality of what I wanted. I looked at his preference and told him I still want the one I'd planned to buy. He said they probably don't have it, so I thanked him and told him I'd order it online. He suddenly became energized and decided to look for it "just in case we have it." Voila! A minute later, he reappeared with what I'd requested half an hour ago! (I suspect that his preferred brand must give better incentives to salesmen; the one I chose is very highly rated compared to the one he was pushing.) Then he tried to charge me full price. I told him it's on sale. He played dumb, made a show out of looking it up, and finally agreed to honor the sale price. Then he had to trot me over to a different guy, who went through a complicated purchase process. I don't know how this place stays in business. I'd planned to buy living room seating and a couple of dressers next month, but will go somewhere else. Avoid this place if you don't want to be led all over the store to pick up something small, don't want to spend 45' waiting for the sales guy to sell you what you have already decided on, or don't want to have multiple contact details put in their database before they'll agree to let you spend money there. If the process wasn't so comically ridiculous, it would have been frustrating. I love the bedding that I chose. The employees are very friendly but the store's management must have trained in a used car dealership. I prefer brick and mortar stores and short interactions with friendly, knowledgeable employees, but in hindsight should have just pointed and clicked on the website named after a river instead of driving over here.

What we found wasn't just one vendor, but a collection of various vendors all specializing in any and everything you could ever want! Vintage toys, anime and Japanese collectables and candy, video games, VHS and laserdisc, vintage décor ranging from Halloween to Christmas and beyond, clothing, Japanese Gundam and model kits. If something was missing a price or you weren't sure it was for sale, the guys up front will be more than happy to contact the owner of the stall and get you a price. We had the pleasure of meeting some of the owners/employees, all really cool guys passionate about local business and vintage goods. Its a little confusing as how it all works for a newbie, but basically you walk in, pick up a basket, and just peruse the site, which is a historic theater! What better setting for this place! Pick up what you want and head back to the front and they will ring you out there and answer any questions you have. The guys were knowledgeable about everything they had and went above and beyond to answer our questions. Prices were pretty reasonable based on the market now. Best advice I can give is don't come looking for anything in particular. Just peruse and enjoy the treasures you might find! Also BRING QUARTERS FOR THE PARKING METERS! I cant stress that enough. We talked to several shop owners and saw meter readers ticketing cars who were minutes within their spot expiring.
