Regardless of the fact that we did not see this coming, extended family home care continued to bill for 2 weeks worth of services which was about 1,200+ only because they were not notified of cancelling services. We had two other home care agencies providing services and neither one of them had this unethical billing policy. On top of that, some of the caregivers did not seem to provide quality care. And also had inconsistent caregiving services, with some cancelling last minute or did not even had the right skill level to care for my mother.

Comfort Keepers cared for my dad an average of 1-2 times / week over the last year of his life. I found there care to be outstanding. Every care giver was incredibly compassionate and helpful around the house. My mom actually had a hard time having enough work to keep them bust because they were so efficient at completing housework while attentively watching my dad so my mom could attend her own Dr appts. We had several "emergencies" while dad was under the care of comfort keepers and each time they navigated the "emergency" professionally and with excellent communication with me. I cannot recommend this service highly enough. They were life changing for our family helping my mom to get some much needed time away as the primary care giver for my dad. We numerous different caregivers male/female and all were consistently outstanding.

I went in with a sore throat and was swabbed for COVID and strep, had a brief conversation with a PA and left with an Rx for steroids. The bill was $638. It cost $250 to walk in the door, the conversation with the PA was an additional $88, and the COVID swab alone was $250. It was billed as PCR (it was not, results were available within 10 minutes). After multiple phone calls and emails, the consensus with their outsourced billing department is that they don't know what they providers charge for and the consensus at the urgent care is that the rates are set by the outsourced billing department. No one reached back out to me. I don't even care that I waited 2 hours past my appointment time. I just can't understand how I could owe them almost $200 for such basic services when they already received well over $400. I would recommend asking them to run the numbers on anything they offer to do- could have saved several hundred dollars by letting them know I already tested negative for COVID at home on a $7 test.

From the medical staff to the therapists, the team was A+++. There seems to be a culture of service at the company that carries through everyone. I'm missing all of these people asking me how everything is going and if I need anything at home. I may even have to admit I enjoyed the 7:00 am therapy sessions (I'm not a morning person). Only observation was that as a diabetic the food was a tiny bit challenging. The team however was always ready to replace a dish if needed.
