I had to go next door to Advance Auto Parts for batteries, since Kroger was out of the size needed. Their produce section left a lot to be desired. I was happy that their sandwich game was pretty much impeccable. I found some good sandwiches here. The beer selection was below average. A few Houston breweries, all the national brands and a few imports. Meh. I got some 8th Wonder here, which was good. They had narrow aisles and help was nowhere to be found. At least the check out process was fast and easy. There's a Starbucks up in this store, but I didn't check that out. Instead, I went for the Kroger brand coffee-like drinks. Gah. I'd prefer to go shopping at a Lowe's or a HEB. Advance Auto Parts was a better place to get some of the merchandise!

However, I did encounter some difficulties with other employees that I'd like to share as constructive feedback. When I noticed my tires being deflated without my request, I tried to ask two employees to pass along a quick message to the mechanic. Both declined, even though it would have taken only a moment. This left me feeling dismissed and frustrated. I understand that everyone has their responsibilities, but small gestures of courtesy--like relaying a customer's request--make a big difference in how the service experience feels. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect basic respect and responsiveness. I hope this feedback helps improve communication and customer service in the future. Staff is always friendly and checkout is usually fast, with many cashier lines open. They also have self checkout which also usually Moves fast. It would be nice to get a nicer, newer and bigger HEB in the Friendswood area in the future.
