Starting off by saying these are some of the nicest people I've met in Belen. Customer service was…read moreexcellent. So many burger choices on the menu I tried the Cristobal burger and my buddy had the huge Dez burger. Both burgers looked great and the only thing keeping me from giving them a 5 is the chile has no heat. If they had hot chile their burgers would be some of the best around. Still were very tasty and huge. Fries and onion rings were also good and they come with the burgers. Burger prices were also great at around $15 for a huge 20 ounce burger. I also got the chips trio and the guacamole and queso were excellent but I'm not a big fan of cilantro in my salsa but let me tell you those were some of the best freshest tortilla chips I've ever had honestly. Definitely two thumbs up from me and also from my buddy. I'll be back soon...

The food we ordered (a burger and enchiladas) came out quickly and were hot and fresh. The chile in the enchiladas packs a little punch but is well worth the slight sniffle of the chile clearing your sinuses lol The second time we went my husband, son and I ordered their HUGE 7pound burrito. It can be a food challenge, but we did not order it as such... we ordered it to share... and man we should have taken 2-3 more people with us to help us finish it. It was the BEST breakfast burrito I've had in a minute and the chile... pork green chile... man... words cannot express how delicious. The service was also delightful on this occasion, and even tho we went on the weekend in the morning it was not too busy or too packed! Found a parking easily and were sat almost immediately! Overall a fantastic experience both times and I look forward to going back!

We took my family here for lunch and I was not disappointed, not in the least! The food was just as amazing as I remembered. I had to get an extra order of those soft, fluffy sopapillas to take with me, since it's impossible to find a restaurant in California that serves them. The waitstaff was attentive and we received everything quickly. If you're in the mood for some incredible and authentic New Mexican cuisine, you MUST try Pete's-you won't regret it!!

There were 7 of us and even our pickiest eater was happy. The food was delicious! It is fresh products and homemade. Not food and worth waiting for, although it didn't take long either. The portions were generous, the prices were fair, the service was great, and there were many regular customers. Our entire group highly recommends Pete's Cafe. My aunt said to note thay we are now "valued customers" and we will be returning when in the area.

Not a busy place, but it seemed like one server for the whole floor, which was expansive. They seemed to be preparing for a very large party to come in. Spoke to the owner, Izzy, who seems very involved and passionate about his business. He says they use this place for large parties and a weekly rotary club meeting. He also says they use the parking lot for food trucks and pop-up restaurants. How cool!

The hamburger was more than well done and was dry and tasteless. I had to ask for mayo to help it go down. No condiments brought to the table unless you asked and then it took forever. The bills were screwed up so the waitress said just go to the cash registered. I was charged for things I did not order and the cashier wanted to argue about it since she had several slips that the waitress couldn't figure out who ordered what. When I questioned my bill she cold not figure out how to reverse the charge on my credit card. Eventually, she gave me a couple dollars in cash (I was owed more but I was done with this) My husband had lunch with a friend at the same time and they both ordered a simple breakfast. I believe I saw that it was about $9 on the menu for each. They got charged for three meals and the bill still came to $35! They were done with that too. Not going back.
