Very solid carry out rotisserie chicken place. This is definitely for locals. They do have about five or six tables inside and charge you a small cover fee for taking your order and giving you table service. They have whole and half roasted chickens, pizzas, sandwiches, milanesas, pastas and salads.
The menu is pretty expensive but it is all written on the wall as you enter.
We waited at least 15 minutes for our chicken to be reheated, our salad to be prepared and our empanadas to be warmed. Everything was very tasty although the chicken was probably a tad too salty for most people if it was just at the edge of being too salty for me! The chicken had a nice sauce on it that you could actually use to season your salad. The empanadas were solid and baked with a nice chunky filling of beef in one and cheese and onion in the other. No salsa criolla served with them either.
Luckily we had already placed our order or we might've had to wait a long time to place it is did the people that arrived after us because more people came in through the front door ordering carry out and ordering by phone and the one guy taking orders seemed to get a little overwhelmed and people were waiting a bit longer than what we are accustomed to waiting in that kind of scenario. A young delivery down and drove up in a motorcycle and came in and started preparing pizza boxes by imprinting their logo on the top and then adding a piece of parchment on the bottom and folding the boxes. They must do a decent pizza business on the weekends because he made well over 10 boxes.
Anyway, there's nothing fancy about this place at all but for 250 AR pesos for two we had half a chicken, a salad, two empanadas and a very large water. It's a nice change from all of the beef! read more
