Superb scenery outside, great service staff who were always ready with the drink and canapes. The canapes themselves were exquisite. Wedding "breakfast" was one of the best I've ever had at a wedding, and if I'm ever in the area again I wouldn't hesitate to have lunch or dinner at their usual restaurant on site. If you're considering holding your wedding here, do give this place a serious consideration!

Less than an hour away from the City, you arrive at a beautiful estate, surrounded by lovely trees and golf course. You may recognize the estate from a couple of James Bond films. They have two buildings to stay in - the old portion, and the newly completed section. Both are lovely. If you are not a golfer, they have a spa that is perfect for some solo time, or for a day with girlfriends. There is a lounge/waiting area where you can order all sorts of snacks. Speaking of snacks, Stoke Park does the nicest tea service I have ever encountered. I could devour all three tiers of sandwiches and sweets all by myself, but only because I am little piggy.

The room was so bad that we asked to move and were given another room that, although not as bad, was still very poor. However, the staff were very pleasant throughout and very helpful (I hope this is not because it happens all the time!!). The food was another matter. The set menus start at approx £85 which does appear to be a little bit pricey, but do not be put off because the food is absolutely amazing. Intertwined with the 3 courses are another number of smaller courses to really set your pallet dancing. I have never eaten such beautiful and clever food. At the end of the meal I did not feel completely stuffed, but pleasantly full, all washed down with a lovely bottle of red. The food here is amazing, pity the rooms do not live up to the same standards. A good place to go to treat yourself to a wonderful evening of food (just don't stay the night!!).

The hotel is unusual in that it is made up of several buildings with reasonably pleasant gardens in between. Very nice in summer, but I should imagine it could be a nightmare in winter! My room was in one of the remote blocks and was reasonable quality but nothing special. I only ate in the restaurant for breakfast, and the kippers, whilst tasty, had a ridiculous number of small bones in them. Despite this it was a pretty good breakfast in general and the staff were friendly and helpful.

However it's very comfortable with regard to the room. The bath is a bit off as it's a tub shower and climbing in and out can be tricky. The overall hotel is quiet and comfortable. The staff is friendly and welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant is quite nice and Chris is an excellent host Elvis at the front desk is quite helpful and the manager is awesome as well. This UK chain is all across the country and I highly recommend it.

Very convenient to the Vanwell business park, Easy check in, a quaint little bar, And a restaurant that serves dinner, and breakfast in the morning. The breakfast is very reasonable you can choose from two options... A continental breakfast... And for 2 pounds more you can add hot breakfast... The dinner food was more like pub fare but it was very good. Everything was very clean and the beds were pretty comfortable, there were even extra pillows available.

People with food allergies beware! I came here for a family meal and everything was great, up until…read moreI tasted a main dish (chicken karahi) that, according to their allergen menu, was nut free, however I developed an allergic reaction almost instantly. I quickly took some antihistamines, and spoke to a waiter who immediately got on the defence, but after insisting that I was indeed having a reaction (just because you can't see it on my face, doesn't mean it's not occurring inside), he spoke to the chef. When he returned the table, he began suggesting that perhaps I mixed spoons or cross contaminated the food myself. Yup, that totally happened to someone, living 25 years with a severe nut allergy. I totally understand that there's no guarantee, and I always take that into account. However I still always take extra precautions and choose dishes that are less likely to contain nut ingredients. As the waiter was in defence mode throughout, nothing came out of me reporting that incident to him. I'm pretty appalled with the way this was handled, especially in suggesting it could have been my fault and not taking any responsibility of a mistake that could indeed have happened in the kitchen. Other than that, I didn't believe the food was anything exceptional as a couple dishes (namely the palak paneer) did not look or taste fresh at all. The 2 stars are simply for the rest of my family suggesting the food was decent-ish. side note: the allergen menu contained various spelling mistakes to which one of my family members joked about trusting whether it was accurate...probably should have taken him seriously.

Places where the attitude is genuinely friendly and welcoming to its guests, but never too familiar are rare to come by, but at The Mehfil you'll find it. The food is a different chapter altogether. For breakfast we chose piping hot stuffed (potato or cauliflower) Parathas, which was served with yoghurt and a delicious tangy pickle. This was so yummy that we didn't even try their alternative, the full English breakfast, but i have to admit that from what i could see when i glanced briefly at the plates of other guests, it looked really good too. The Mehfil is food heaven if you're a fan of the Indian kitchen. When I think of us eating our evening meals there, I remember in a blur one sumptuous, gorgeous looking and divine- tasting meal after the other served by attentive waiters, and I really hope it's possible to attach pictures from my phone's gallery when I'm done writing. I will recommend this place no end, and look forward to our next visit. Incidentally, it's easy to get from the Mehfil to London Paddington. A 5 minute walk to the station, a 15 minute train ride and you're there, right in the centre of the touristy area, if that's what you're looking for.

It is a stay in a museum and one can wonder the halls of this property for a very long time. From paintings, to elaborate finishes, The Langley certainly deserves plentiful recognition. As a Titanium guest, I was able to get upgraded to a three story suite, which in itself is a spectacular upgrade by multiple categories up. The property sadly does not participate in Suite Nights, so it meant having to reach out to the manager prior. But hey, it's the result that counts right? Not only that, but the room included a favorite dessert and was beautifully appointed. There is an unquestionable "wow" factor to this hotel. Things like the television coming out from a cabinet by the bed mechanically with a touch of a button, top notch toiletries and impeccable finishes. The breakfast experience was pretty basic, but cutlery and plating was beautiful. The service at the front desk was truly spectacular and the team was always very helpful. At breakfast and lunch, a bit slow, requiring some chasing down of the same girl working both establishments. The burger was deliciously cooked for lunch and complimented perfectly with a fresh champagne. Nothing like burgers and champagne right?
