I was told the car was ready to go, and asked if I would to pick it up on the weekend.
I advised that wanted to get an independent inspection of the vehicle by NRMA, then what do you know, within an hour I get a call from Alto Honda telling me a few major issues were discovered with the car, and that it would take at least a week to repair.
After contemplating the likelihood of their story actually being true, I came to the conclusion that it was likely this "used car salesmen" was living up perfectly to the stereotype.
Naturally, I requested my $500 deposit back.
Moments later, I received a 30 minute phone call from an abusive, bullying, sleazy 80's salesmen, telling me I was "locked in" to a contract, and "committed" to proceeding with a purchase - he even attempted to say that I was legally obliged to proceed with the purchase, absolutely pathetic.
I demanded my deposit back, to a last remark that I'd be paying a 5% fee for not proceeding with the sale.
Anyhow, over 5 emails later and constant calls, I heard nothing from Honda Alto for exactly 28 days.
Seeking alternative measures, I requested that my bank return my deposit to me, as I was refused from Honda Alto - then low and behold, Alto Honda contacts me to return my money.
If you're wondering whether you should shop at Honda Alto, I would advise even my worst enemies against it - for me it has been nothing but frustration and disbelief that such a place is still operating.
I've never written a negative review before this one, and I've never experienced worse service.
Would never recommend to a friend or use again.
