He came when he said he would, did a thorough job, the price was reasonable and he left the place clean. What more could you ask for!

We called Al when we saw a home on Lexi in the Quail Hollow Subdivision that was basically just a…read moreconcrete slab at the time. We told him we were selling. He asked if we'd be interested in selling to an investor he had out of Memphis for cash. He promised us to close on the same day. That sounded great so we agreed to buy the house from them and sell ours to his investor. Months go by with trying to get the house finished with several delays, which was understandable at the time with "COVID". We finally schedule a closing date and I ask Al if we were still able to close on our current home on the same day. He said it was unlikely and that his investors needed another week. A week goes by still nothing. Finally after a few more weeks of being run around and noone answering the phone, we finally get a date. The night before the closing date noone is anserwing the phone to schedule a time to close the next day and to get everything finalized. The morning of closing I get in touch with Al and he says that the deal is not going to happen. To summarize, we were promised our house would be bought when we bought theirs and we would close on the same day to sweeten the deal and they backed out on the day we were supposed to close. We got Cond by Al Franks. Back to our experience with Al and Chad with the house they built for us. Since it was a new construction we were able to upgrade features and pick out certain things. The only thing is we had to pay the difference between the cost of the upgrade and the budget they had which was obvious. One of the things we asked about was one of the exterior walls and what it would cost for it to be accent stone. Chad, comes back and says it will be an extra $4k. We said we can do without the wall. A few days pass and he says they had already had it in the plans and they were going to do it anyways. Not sure how I felt about that, sounds like they were trying to get an extra 4k out of us, but I was on my toes moving forward and realized just how in the blind you are coming in mid construction when you bought the house from the actual builders. After the house was being framed we noticed that the front of the house was completely changed from the original plans that Al sent us. I confronted both Al and Chad about this. (At this point we should have backed out of the deal) My guess was they cut corners to save on cost because they removed all of the luxury features it had. They also told 5 Lexi that we wanted it this way. Their house looks exactly like ours was promised. To be brief on our overall experience, Their budget was unrealistcally cheap for the house. The paint job was horrible. The ceiling in the bonus room upstairs looks horrific and the celing lines are not close to being straight. The soap dishes in the shower are no where close to square. The painters ruined our stained concrete floors when they taped the paper down to paint. All the shelves in the closets are something out of a budget apartement complex (CHEAP).Our back porch has no steps up to it. They sheet rocked over several outlets throughout the house. Some of the lights work, some don't. Their finish guy has no business being a finish guy. Cabinet doors are crooked and paint chiping and flaking. The house, for the money we paid for it, deserved more thought on the quality and design. My guess is, once they locked in a buyer for the price, they were then able to go in and cut cost significantly. It shows. They claim to be a landscaping company but when it was time for the landscape to be done they had a couple of younger guys doing it. I asked them if they had ever done anything like this before and they said "no" lol. Well, the job they did definitely shows. Not to speak for my neighbors, but they built the two houses next door to ours, 5 Lexi and 7 Lexi. Chad wasn't partnered with Al on the middle one (7 Lexi) between the two from what I understood. But, I feel for them. They left them with a total mess. Fence falling over, certain projects not finished etc. No integrity, his "Word" means nothing. I tried to leave a review on Google but for some reason it gets removed. I've also seen a few post on there that appear to be fake that coincidentally got posted after a good friend of mine (customer of his) left a bad but honest review. One of the reviews claiming that they had an excellent experience posted a pic of my neighbors house (who was done very wrong by Al). So I know it wasn't the reviewers Home.
