Robin did a great job though (my fears disappeared immediately when I saw some of his previous work, WOW!) He inked me up all lovely and what not so I have no complaints in that department. He was VERY professional and (thankfully) exact, I though after five times of placing the stencil that he'd get it right, but the guys only being precise, it is on me forever to be fair so I was pleased he was so particular about it. I'll upload some pics of both Sam & Robin's work so you can judge for yourself. I can't recommend this parlour any more. 5*! OK, I can't say it was pain-free, it was a tattoo for goodness sake, but the guys were so friendly putting me at ease, and the place was spotless. My tattoist was an amazingly funny romanian guy, who stopped half way through because his new shoes had just arrived and he had to see them - the joy of ebay! They charge by time here as opposed to design. I was charged £70 for the hour which was pretty decent. The place is very clean and hygenic with lots of interesting, Ed Hardy style artwork and they specialise in Tibetan and Japanese pieces. And yes, it does hurt :)

Martin's (the tattooist) artwork is lining the walls and every piece is as stunning as the next, showing his talents are just as amazing off the skin as on. Martine is the wife of Martin and handles the reception desk. She also does semi-pemament make up and as far as I'm aware, ear piercing. I was welcomed with such a warm attitude. So pleasant, professional and the type of person you could go in just to have a chat with. We've all experienced going into a tattoo parlour and being greeted by some stuck up git that gives the impression he doesn't have time to help you with piecing together your ideas (we're not all artists)! But I went here with a rough guideline and Martin helped me make it perfect. He gave ideas and advice so I wound up with a tattoo I'll be happy to show off for the rest of my life. I'm getting it finished pretty soon and can't wait to go back. He did the same for my partner and we couldn't be happier! He's a great guy to talk to and makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed. They are very good about explaining every step of the process so you know exactly what to expect (if you wish, some people would rather not know!) and take the time to make you feel at ease. I'm the sort of person who gets terrified about having an injection at the doctor's, but I would not think twice about going to Pushing Ink and having a piercing done, the latter is much less scary! The interior of the shop is modern, funky and most importantly, scrupulously clean! There is a huge array of artwork from past tattoos adorning the shop, and a massive choice of bars/studs/hoops for your piercings. Pushing Ink offer tattoo's, tattoo removal and piercing. They give you excellent aftercare advice, detailing exactly what you need to do to ensure that you piercing or tattoo is cared for properly, and particularly for piercings, that they heal as they should.

The guys who work there are all really friendly and good craic, I had a bit of banter (with a guy who I think is called Robin?) and I would definitely think about coming here when I'm going to get my next tattoo. What struck me as weird of this place is that according my friend, he didn't need to make an appointment to get his tattoo. I thought you had to go and discuss what you wanted, maybe get a sketch drawn up so you can be certain its what you want. But apparently not! My friend just walked in and got a cross on his right pec (yep....). As far as he was concerned it was the greatest thing ever. As far as I was concerned it was wonky.
