My tattoist was an amazingly funny romanian guy, who stopped half way through because his new shoes had just arrived and he had to see them - the joy of ebay! They charge by time here as opposed to design. I was charged £70 for the hour which was pretty decent. The place is very clean and hygenic with lots of interesting, Ed Hardy style artwork and they specialise in Tibetan and Japanese pieces. And yes, it does hurt :)

Robin did a great job though (my fears disappeared immediately when I saw some of his previous work, WOW!) He inked me up all lovely and what not so I have no complaints in that department. He was VERY professional and (thankfully) exact, I though after five times of placing the stencil that he'd get it right, but the guys only being precise, it is on me forever to be fair so I was pleased he was so particular about it. I'll upload some pics of both Sam & Robin's work so you can judge for yourself. I can't recommend this parlour any more. 5*! Price Guide: I got black script, five words, small & detailed font : £100 N.B. OK, I can't say it was pain-free, it was a tattoo for goodness sake, but the guys were so friendly putting me at ease, and the place was spotless. I had designed my own and the artwork they did was fantastic, and every day I look at it I love it more. I've another idea in mind, and when I decide to go for it, I'll be back here. Martine is the wife of Martin and handles the reception desk. She also does semi-pemament make up and as far as I'm aware, ear piercing. I was welcomed with such a warm attitude. So pleasant, professional and the type of person you could go in just to have a chat with. We've all experienced going into a tattoo parlour and being greeted by some stuck up git that gives the impression he doesn't have time to help you with piecing together your ideas (we're not all artists)! But I went here with a rough guideline and Martin helped me make it perfect. He gave ideas and advice so I wound up with a tattoo I'll be happy to show off for the rest of my life. I'm getting it finished pretty soon and can't wait to go back. He did the same for my partner and we couldn't be happier! He's a great guy to talk to and makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed. I got a few things done at this parlour; my tongue re-pierced, my cartilage (top of my ear) and my friend got her hand web (the skin between thumb and index finger) and I have nothing bad to say about this parlour. It's also a tattooist but I can't comment fairly on it not having had anything done personally, but all the art work seemed of a high degree and from people I know who got tattooed here they were really pleased with the end result. There's another tattooist Sailor Bill at the other end of the town if you want to compare studios. As far as piercing goes though I was 100% happy with my treatment, after care and prices here. My tongue cost £30, cartilage £15 and hand £30. These prices are as of a few years ago so you would need to call in and speak to the tattoo / piercing artists to find out up to date prices.
