Everything about the experience was great…read more First, the building and the beer garden were perfect -- not touristy in the least, and sitting outside was just great. (There is a park behind the beer garden, so the overall vibe is super chill.) As for the food and drink, they exceeded our expectations. After having eaten out a lot over a two-week trip, the food here was much better than most of the places we visited in Germany. The pasta my daughter had was great -- lots of fresh veggies mixed in and it was her most memorable dish the entire two weeks. I had the white asparagus with a schnitzel and could not have been happier -- the asparagus and hollandaise sauce was outstanding, and the schnitzel one of the better I had all trip. As for the service, the folks who helped us were polite, funny and cool. I highly recommend this establishment. So glad we found it. Highly, highly recommended!!

Nach einem fast 20jährigem Dornröschenschlaf öffnete die Gaststätte im September 2011 wieder ihre Türen. Anstelle des großen Ballsaals befindet sich nun ein idyllischer Biergarten direkt an der Weißeritz. Der separate Veranstaltungsraum bietet Platz für Familienfeiern, Klassentreffen, Kabarett- und Leseabende und vieles andere mehr. In dem modern eingerichteten Restaurant können die Gäste eine gut bürgerliche deutsche Küche genießen. Neben regionalen Produkten auf der Speisekarte findet man hier auch Pesterwitzer Weine und Hartmannsberger Edelbrände aus der unmittelbaren Umgebung. Jeden letzten Sonntag im Monat wird von 11:00 bis 15:00 Uhr gebruncht.
