What I appreciated most about Nick Montalto, is that he's detailed in his explanation but not in a way that the average layman wouldn't understand it. I also appreciate that even though he's a practicing attorney, he was also a CPA at one time which means he has a broader understanding of the tax implication that most estate attorneys do not necessarily have. His making your Advanced Healthcare Directives available in a portable USB drive or "credit card" drive to carry with you at all times is a proactive and potentially life-saving measure that most attorneys don't even think of. Sandy, his paralegal is also great in assisting with the less than complex questions for those times Nick isn't available. I will continue to recommend Nick and his team to anyone who wants superlative customer service and the confidence that their estate planning is in competent and capable hands. Thank you again Nick & Sandy for all your assistance all these years.

A little late on my review but this business deserves its flowers. I was looking for a living trust…read morefor my parents and for help with another legal matter and happened to come accross Sanders & Montalto which had very good reviews already. I called and scheduled a consultation with Nicholas a few weeks after. From the initial consultation, we knew we had found the right company. My parents are spanish speaking and speak very little english. Nicholas had the patience and knowledge to make sure my parents felt comfortable and understood everything before agreeing and proceeding. Nicholas was able to answer all their questions and concerns and set my parents up with their living trust. We are beyond happy to have found this company and will definitely be using them again in the future!

One, for my mother in 2009 and the second one for myself with an amendment done around 2016. Over the last 10 years or so, I have sent "several" emails to Judd Matsunaga with general questions regarding my trust. Almost every time I received no response and when I called it was hard to get concrete answers. Nonetheless, the thought of starting over seemed like more work so today I called asking about what the charges would be for amending my trust. After speaking with Monica, a fairly new attorney and informing her about the previous poor customer service. She said she would ask the CFO about waiving the initial consultation fee before actually determining what the amendment costs would be. I had already begun to research other estate planning options but was open to at least hearing what the costs might be. But after speaking with the curt, rude and unempathetic CFO Yuki, I would not do business with this firm. Rather than being a good listener since I am the customer I was treated rudely and disrespectfully. Instead, of taking the high road and saying I am sorry you experienced this but we can still help you I got a lecture and was questioned what email address I had previously sent my complaints too. Completely, missed the boat on good customer service in a "people service" industry. I will be sure to mention to my fellow peer group who all use or need trusts and estate planning to stay clear of Elder Law. Unless you want to be treated rudely and disrespectfully there are better options available.

That said, I finally did it, and I don't feel bad because if you are reading this review it probably means you still haven't :). Anyway, I attended a seminar which was pretty good but high level and I was uncertain if the company could handle my rather complicated situation. That said my laziness kicked in and since they were located in the same complex my company is in, I just went for it. I can't speak for all the attorneys there as I only interacted with one who took care of my Family Trust, but I can tell you Peter Keon was great! I assume he represents the caliber of the rest of the firm. I'm sending my business partners to him now, and they will likely go because of proximity (we are all lazy when it comes to anything but our jobs) but will be lucky to do so when they work with Peter. Thanks!

I would like to point out that Peter was extremely patient and emphatic toward my concerns and took the time to answer two, three times the same questions, since I'm a kind of handicap in English.
