They make sure you know how replaceable you are by constantly firing people over the smallest things. On the last day of school, they fired four people, which meant they didn't have enough time to find a job for the next year, since the teaching hiring season is in February. Not only did they fire left and right but teachers also quit in the middle of the year because of how bad it is. HR is the CEO's mother and the librarian is the principles mother, if that isn't a big enough conflict of interest, I don't know what is. There are also cameras in each classroom so you are constantly being watched. Most of the lessons are so heavily controlled by admin that it's as if they are scripted and if you don't follow the script your classroom phone might ring with instructions to get back on script. There is no room for teacher ideas or creativity, the way they want you to teach is so robotic, there's no point of getting a degree. I would have put up with the low pay for another year because I loved my kids but the disrespect and micromanagement was the reason I left. Unless you are desperate don't work here.
