The owner, Al, has extremely poor customer service skills. His ability to tint car windows is less than desirable - bubbles in the tint, an extremely rough edge around the edges of the window, and his tint actually peels off starting at the corners in just a matter of a few days. He puts tint on vehicles that is illegal and then says and I quote "..you don't know me!" He gives you a guarantee on his work and then doesn't back it up when you (the customer) has a problem. He'll put you off, ignore you, tell you he's out of the state and to call him back in a month - and then when you do he tells you to "get your tint done elsewhere!" I can't leave my number or email address here so that you can come and see the horrible mess he made of my car but, you'll see my car while driving down the road - it'll be the one with lettering on the rear window stating "DON'T GO TO Al's Window tinting for your TINTING needs!" Once this guy takes your $$$ you'll never hear or see from him again because when he leaves with your hard earned cash in his pocket the job is JUST "good enough" for him. This guy left his trash in the parking lot where he did my car and his generator ran out of gas so he couldn't use his heat gun to shrink the tint on my rounded windows. I would NEVER recommend this guy for ANY tint job - not even a flat window in a building or residence!, ...and that's why he gets NO stars!! Now this guy wants to lie to protect his almost 30 years in business. I was NEVER told that there was minimum for them to come out to do a job. In fact I was told that he'd come back and do the back windows at my expense - not a problem I'll pay you your $20 charge for each back window, just make sure it's done right this time. It was when I complained about his shoddy work of the front two windows that he copped an attitude, ...again because his generator ran out of gas he couldn't complete the job correctly. There are 3 gas stations within a half mile of where he did his poor example of his work that he's done for some 28 years now, ...and better yet his customer service was even worse - call backs, response time, didn't honor his guarantee, left his trash on the premises, ...a very poor example of a professional business owner in Florida! read more

After 18 years in moderately cool Germany, my wife and I relocated to sunny, but albeit HOT, Florida. Despite central air conditioning, the sun shown straight through our higher windows without blinds and negated the AC's cooling capabilities. At the time, my prime concern was the high exposed windows in our familiy room. I did numerous searches for additional blinds that I could install to cover those windows. Somehow, I came across Al's Window Tinting website. I sent an email requesting a cost estimate for covering all the windows in that room. Al's business manager (and wife) Maria sent a quick and reasonable quote. I asked Al to come over. He performed a professional installation of the tinting for those windows and provide alot of friendly and useful information. We immediately felt a difference in the temperature in our family room. We had AL come back about 6 months later to do all of the remaining windows which received morning and afternoon sun. The total effects are significant and are sure to be reflected in my electrical bill when the air conditioned is in use this summer. Would I recommend Al's Window Tinting? ABSOLUTELY! In fact, I recommended him to my mother who winters in Bradenton. She got the windows on front of her house tinted and will have him come back in the future to tint those which get the sunlight in the summer. Al is a skilled professional who takes great pride in his work. He can be equally proud of his wife who handles all of the administrative coordination and the website. read more

I was looking for someone to tint the glass on my Jeep, which we brought to Florida to leave year round. I found Al's Window Tinting through Google, sent an email, and got a reply back almost instantly. Al came to my condo 2 days later, tinted the Jeep's windows and WOW! I could tell a difference the first time I drove it under the hot Florida sun. That same afternoon, I sent an email to Maria, Al's wife, with the dimensions of my sliding glass doors, and she quoted a very reasonable price to tint them. My condo requires that any film has to be completely invisible, and Al's was able to meet that requirement. My doors have a total western exposure, and for the first time I was able to leave the blinds open in the late afternoon without thinking that I was going to melt! Although you can't see the film, the difference in the temperature is amazing. I highly recommend Al's Window Tinting, and would use them again in a minute. Also, because all the installations are done by Al himself, you know that he is very picky about the details, because it's his company. Great peace of mind knowing that the owner is handling your windows personally. read more

Today Al tinted my wife's 2002 Lexus RX300. When I left work today I received a call from my wife who let me know how pleased that she was with the way the car looks now. "He did a wonderful job" she told me, and he did. Since this vehicle is my wife's work car, rarely does anyone sit in the back seats and roll up or down the windows. Al ran into problems first rolling down a rear window then rolling it back up. That did not deter Al from removing the door panel and then finally calling me to explain that he believed that there was an electrical problem and asked if he could take it to Lexus of Clearwater to have it fixed if he could not get it back in the up position himself. Al worked on the Lexus for more than half a day, in the sun, did not complain and left a show room-like vehicle for us. I am out of cars now for him to tint. Thanks Al. Ken read more

Al is a great guy that does great work. I took my car to get tinted at a Car audio/tinting shop in Largo. They kept my car all day. When I showed up at closing time, they let me know they couldnt tint the windows because the tint cutting machine broke. They actually thought I would come back another day with my business. I looked on the internet and found als window tinting. He was able to tint my car on a SUNDAY at his house! He has mobile services but also a tent to do it at home. The taxi that was supposed to pick me up at his house and take me back to my other vehicle stood me up. Als wife Maria offered to drive me back! She was so nice too. I will never go anywhere else for my tint. Really, you should see these windows. I HIGHLY recommend Als window tinting. Thanks again Al and Maria!! read more

We received quotes from multiple vendors for 4 very large windows. The sales rep from Al's was the only one that showed up with no mask on (in the middle of a pandemic) and not even a smile or introduction. She then proceeded to tell me what the type of shades I wanted would not look good (even though the architect and interior designer both recommended this design) and tried to upsell me on something else. Throughout the whole appointment, she made me feel like she had better places to be. I remained polite throughout all of this and finished the appointment. Over a week later and I still have not received a quote from the company. The other companies gave me a quote within an hour of the appointment. I guess my $3800 project was either too big or too small for this company to handle. read more

I found Al's Window Tinting on Google. He came to my house the same day that I called for a quote. He did a fantastic job on tinting my old Geo Prism @ a fair price. His work was all the more impressive due to the tough weather conditions that he had to deal with(very windy). I highly recommend A.W.T. On a side note; Al's was the second window tint company that I had work on my car. The first guy was late for the appointment by a few hours. When he finally showed up he did not finish the job but said he would return the next day to finish. A week later he was still a no show. Like a fool I had already paid him(I'll never learn!). Anyway, I guess my point is you get what you pay for. A.W.T's. quote was a little higher but was well worth it. read more

I recently had the windows done on my Lancer. Maria was super helpful nice, and prompt throughout setting up a time, giving me prices, and all the other questions I had. Al did a great job on the tint and was very friendly and personable. I can usually be hard to really 100% please as a customer. My only semi-complaint was that Al had to take my car to his place rather than being able to do the job at my house, but that was just due to the wind so not really his fault by any means. I just would have liked to have seen the process. He did also leave me his truck just in case I needed it for anything, which was really cool. They will definitely get my business again. read more

I called Al's from a postcard, perfect timing since i needed to cool my office. I called and Maria came out with a quote and samples. We reviewed the samples and picked the tint i desired for my entire 5000 sf office with mutiple panes. There was old tint on the windows that had to be removed. Al came to do the job, he was prompt had a smile and was clean and neat. The tint was perfect and had done just what Maria said it would in terms of cooling down the office. This company is great. I would recommend them to anybody. Forget about an easy car, this guy did an entire building with SMILE. What a professional. read more

Al tinted the windows of our condo and the results are fantastic. It would get so hot in the condo that we had to keep the blinds closed. I love light and the outdoors so I felt like I was sitting in a cave. Now, I can keep the blinds open and enjoy the sunshine. Because of the film the condo doesn't get as hot as it used to although it still leaves in the light. Why live in Florida if you can't enjoy the sunshine? I also like that people walking by can't see into the condo because of the film. We are truly please with the results. Keep up the good work Al. read more

For sometime now I've wanted to get my front windows tinted but didn't want to pay $50 per window. I saw Al's deal on Living Social and thought I'd take a chance. Can't say how happy I am that I did. Al showed up to my house on time, helped me pick out a tint color, then went to work quickly. He gave me specific instructions on how to care for the new tinting and provided a warranty in writing for as long as I owned the car. And on top of all that, he's a really nice, personable guy. Thanks Al, for everything. read more

Al's Window Tinting applied solar tinting to our 3-story building. They worked with us to obtain a refund from TECO. The job was completed in the time promised. The end result is beautiful and it has helped keep the building cooler. All the work was done without any disruption to our work schedule. We also had custom blinds installed to replace existing blinds which were no longer operating properly. They were able to match the existing blinds exactly and we are very happy with the end result. read more

Al is awesome!! He came over today and tinted windows in my house. The film he installed is top grade. It made a difference the minute it went up. He took his time until it was perfect. He went so far above and beyond. He has such a great personality as well, it was a pleasure to do business with him and his wife. We are looking forward to him coming back to finish the house and our cars! His years of experience shines in his work! Thanks Al! read more

Been using this company for years and referred to many friends/co-workers, etc. Recently tried to use them for the third time in less than 6 months and received a rude response, extremely high quote, and then no response to any calls/voicemails. We will be finding a new place and will not be sending anyone their way anymore. Very sad since we used them for about 6 years but the customer service has declined........ read more

I first contracted Al to tint my car, then my sliding glass doors, then he installed semi-opaque film on the windows of my garage (lets in the light but lets us keep our garage contents private). He has a superior knowledge about tinting and window films, and does excellent work. That's why I went back again when I needed new shades installed in the bedrooms of the house. Quality work, honest prices, and good service! read more

This review is in regards to the consultation. Maria came to my home, was incredibly professional, and knowledgeable. She asked probing questions in order to get an idea of what type of blinds I wanted. She took the time to listen and actually introduced me to other options that I eventually chose. I believe I am going to be really pleased with the ultimate choice, and cannot wait for the install! Thank you Maria. read more

Excellent service. They schedule an appointment and come to your house. Its very fast and the quality is wonderful! It could not be a more convenient and excellent service.
