We are another tow company in the Kootenai area and we were treated horribly by a driver from this…read moretow company. He showed up at our yard unannounced, without an appointment. (We require 24 hours notice to guarantee that an agent is there to release our vehicles) Our office building is at a separate location than our yard. When he called he said, "I'm at your yard to pick up '-----' vehicle and NO ONE is even here!!! What kind of business is this??" We tried to work with him and even had an agent drop the account they were on to meet him at our yard so we could release this vehicle to him. Unfortunately our office staff, who completes our invoices, had already left the office and there was a little confusion on the total amount of the bill. The tow truck driver was explained the entire situation, where the confusion was and the complete break down of the bill. I even offered to text and email a breakdown receipt AND fax him, immediately, the original tow order for his own records. (The insurance ends up paying this bill by the way NOT this driver) Our closest agent was to our yard within a matter of 8 minutes! The agent, that could make it to the yard on such short notice WITHOUT an appointment being scheduled, does not have access to a card reader. He was given the option to either pay in cash or to pay with a card over the phone. This is when he started being VERY disrespectful to our office staff as well as the agent who dropper her account to accommodate him. He was very rude, very disrespectful and very unprofessional. He then was screaming about how he was going to call and file a complaint with ISP. (Who we originally did this tow for to begin with....) There was VERY LITTLE confusion and A LOT of communication on our end. Sadly... with a little bit of research, this driver ended up being the owner. :( The moral of the story is: Just because you are a tow company, it DOES NOT give you the right to treat people however you want. We can't forget that at the end of the day we are all just people. People doing the best we can. EVERYONE makes mistakes...including YOU Mr. Tow Truck Driver! We apologize that us going above and beyond to help a fellow tow-mate out was not good enough for you. We sincerely hope you stay in business. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Just because you're having a bad day, it's not a good excuse to make everyone else your punching bag. Think about that the next time you do a tow! Sincerely, -The girl you were screaming at on the phone!
