This was our 2nd time ordering from Al's and we loved It even more than the first! You have got to try the all meat pizza with added feta. Amazing!!! You can just tell the sauce is loaded with fresh tomatoes and herbs. They are generous with toppings and cheese. The crust is semi deep dish that's crispy on the outside yet still soft on the inside. It's a perfect ratio of crust toppings and sauce. Definitely one of our favorite pizza delivery options.

My Husband and I wanted to try somewhere new for our pizza night, so I checked out Al's Pizza online. They had a family pack deal, you got a extra large 3 topping pizza, lasagna, caesar salad, garlic bread and 1 litre pop, for only $30! It seemed like a really good deal for a lot of food. It was only pick-up though. There was a $4 charge if we wanted delivery. So I ordered it and the girl told me it would be ready in 25 minutes, which on a friday at 5pm seemed really quick! When I went to pick it up, I could tell the girls working were quite busy taking orders, even though the place itself was almost empty. I noticed that it was very clean in the restaurant. One girl got me to pay then ended up taking a order on the phone, so the other girl got my food for me. As I was leaving to the car the second girl came out with my salad they had forgotten. When I got home I realized that the pop wasn't in the bag! So I called and whichever girl I was talking to apologized. I asked that if they had a delivery guy in our neighborhood, maybe he could drop it off. She said that was unlikely because they only have one delivery guy and they were very busy tonight. She took my name and number and said she would make a note of it, so next time I could remind them and get it then. Which I was fine with. Our food was so good! The pizza was full of toppings, not greasy at all and the crust was delicious! The lasagna was hot and probably some of the best I have had in the city! The salad and garlic bread was even super good! Needless to say, we were stuffed with Al's Pizza goodness by the end. Without a doubt, I would return to Al's pizza. That family deal was a steal for the quality and quantity of the food you got! I highly recommend this place!

Medium Hawaiian & Large Caesar Salad @ Al's Pizza

Two weekends in a row we ordered from Al's Pizza! Delivery is fast! 45 minutes from ordering to front porch. I'm addicted is an understatement! Always order the large Caesar Salad and have tried a variety of pizzas. Tonight we ordered the large Caesar Salad and a medium Hawaiian Pizza. The pizza crust just the perfect crispiness, the tangy flavourful sauce, the fresh ham and pineapple is always consistent. As is the Caesar Salad. They make their Caesar dressing from scratch; you can tell right off the bat. Very garlicky (it's what we love in a Caesar dressing). We just ate but writing this review is making me crave to eat the leftovers even though I'm stuffed. Have dined in plenty of times as well and the ambiance is cozy. Important thing to note. I don't like crust and don't eat it elsewhere. But when it comes to Al's Pizza, I ALWAYS eat the crust! and sprinkle some dried red Chili peppers atop the pizza. It's that good! Keep it up Al!

Throwback! This place needs an update, but has some early 90's charm :)

Worst pizza in Calgary. Looks like it was rushed, not cooked through, and SOGGY. Couldn't even finish one slice. Do not recommend for pizza.

Service: impeccable. Food: top notch…read more Location: trendy. We took a stroll down 17th and decided to stop in after hearing rave reviews. Well, they lived up to the hype. We cozied up to the bar given there was a wait for a table, but honestly I preferred it. We got the 4-maggi, a carafe of the house Sauvignon blanc, and the simple garden salad that was anything but simple. Our waiter was attentive and quick with we needed (shoutout to the chili oil made in house and side of chili flakes), which was amazing given he was making some pretty intense looking cocktails.

Got a beltline and veggie from the takeout side of the restaurant. Really appreciated having a…read morebottle of chili flakes, hot honey, and ranch for you to self service. Unfortunately, found both pizzas to be a little too greasy. Also wished it was crunchier instead of floppy. The beltline was just okay. Not that flavourful or unique and the meat was very hard/overcooked. The veggie pizza (my usual order at pizza places) was such a flavour bomb that it really surprised my partner, who is a very big meat eater. Every topping on the veggie pizza was flavourful enough to stand on its own to top a single topping pizza. Tried half with hot honey and half with the ranch, we both preferred the ranch. Overall, we found the pizzas expensive but might go back to try other items or the take out slices they offer during lunch time (11-4pm, 2 slices for $8) I also wanted to try their chocolate chip cookie, but the $10 price tag didn't seem worth it.

However, we wanted to try a new place and tried 900 degree because of the reviews. I do think the pizza is good. For the Hawaiian they are cheap with their ham and could have put another layer especially for the price. The crust is ok nothing special. Unfortunately being from Regina I have had so many good quality greek pizzas and this location is not up there. It's located on 14th street by a very small strip mall. It's hidden and at night time it's not that noticeable. However if you live in Bankview region it's a great local pizza place.

As far as the food goes... no complaints. However the problem is advertising that you can do "NO…read moreCONTACT" delivery and then force contact to receive the delivery. That was the situation tonight. Place the order online like we have in the past (your website is TERRIBLE btw... links to leave tips for the driver are inactive, menu listing is a mess... invest in someone fixing the site.) We see that you offer no contact delivery... great food,; no contact delivery offered... it seals the deal for making a purchase. The delivery takes longer than offered but we know the food is worth the wait. Suddenly, a knock on the door. Instead of the order left there for us, a 3rd party driver is asking for us to pay for food we believed we had already paid for. Allegedly, the online order is "on hold" and the business requires a "hard copy" to prevent getting ripped off. If shady customers have taken advantage of your offer with declined credit cards and the like... that sucks. But you need to fix the system and not offer a service you aren't capable of delivering on. Not ordering from this place again until you can follow through on what you offer.

One was pepperoni with the same amount of pepperoni you get at Costco. And the other was the mother of dragons which was delicious but at the same time it wasn't a stacked with meat as at the party. And no medium pizza is worth $40, unless it was truly stocked and it wasn't. We would've been much better to go to Boston Pizza or anywhere for that matter! Blaze pizza is amazing and it wouldn't have cost near that much money. I just feel like crying for my son who was just trying to do something nice for us. If you do order never ever ever order from Uber eats! Order from Paul's. That was stacked meat. I honestly could cry for my son. For him to waste that much money that he worked hard for. Edit the manager called me and is giving a large pizza to try again. Please do not ever order the pizza from Uber Eats because it's grossly overpriced. Also don't order the pepperoni because it's not the stacked meat the way that the other pizzas are. I do appreciate her calling though and making that right that is truly wonderful service.

This is an incredibly mixed bag. I'll start with the negatives so I can end with the good stuff…read more As someone else mentioned, the wings are on the smaller side, but 15 for around $14 isn't a bad deal these days and frankly I'd prefer more smaller than less bigger. Personal preference, but obviously not everyone will agree with that. The bigger issue is that they are breaded. The pictures on the website make it look like they are traditional chicken wings, they definitely aren't and there is quite a bit of breading on them. This matters for a few reasons. The first is unless you are talking boneless "wings" a traditional chicken wing is unbreaded. If you serve a dish that is prepared in a non-traditional manner you should probably footnote that. The next issue is caused by the first. When you have a breaded wing that is then spun the breading gets soggy and you essentially end up with a chicken sponge. When your restaurant only functions as a takeout/delivery location that sogginess gets compounded by the breading taking on moisture from the steam. Hot soggy mess. The good? Well the Extra Hot sauce is actually extra hot! Which is great! Most places their hot tastes like ketchup and their "extra hot" tastes like ketchup that was stored near a bottle of Franks Hot Sauce. The sauce was well flavored and a great heat level. Other thing, their blue cheese is just so-so, but their garlic dipping sauce is outstanding. It almost reminds me of the garlic sauce that schwarma places serve. The lady working there was also really nice.
