For the work that Justin did perform... it was top notch. After showing up he was quick, had both…read moreplum trees cut down and the yard clean as a whistle in just a little over an hour. However, 40 minutes after he said he would be there he messaged me to say he would be leaving in 20 minutes. Two hours and 20 minutes later he says he is 5 minutes out. 35 minutes after that he arrives. So I make the family leave the lake quite early so we could be there when he arrived at 3:30 and he doesn't show until after 7pm. He tells me he can't do ALL of the work today (Sunday)... that he would have to push the stump grinding till Wednesday. He messages me Tue and asks if we can push till Thursday. I say sure. I haven't heard a word from him since (it is now Sat after the Thursday he was supposed to show). I messaged Thursday several times to see if I could get an ETA on arrival. Nothing. No answers to calls. I message and call on Friday. Nothing. He was a complete no-show and has ghosted me since. It's a shame because the work he did perform was 5-star quality. I would have only dropped a half a star for being 3.5 hours late. But with the unprofessional no-show without so much as a call, and the ghosting since... I couldn't possibly in good conscious give 3 or more stars. It would have been an easy $200 in his pocket. He quoted me $350 for grinding two small stumps but said he would have to rent a grinder for $250. I guess the silver lining is I rented a stump grinder for $140 from Home Depot and knocked out both stumps in under an hour so I saved $210 by just doing it myself. I would have been happy for him to do it though had he communicated and didn't no-show. The good thing is, he has some great reviews so I'm hopeful and pray that this is WAY out of the ordinary and out of character and he won't do it again to other customers.

From there on it was more of the same, complaints about damaging his chain saw, costs of renting the stump grinder and having to return it before completing the work. Bottom line, he promised to return the next day to finish, remove the chips and to bring replacement landscape rock to fill in the holes. Promising that he was paid in full. But, of course, he had no intention of returning. Repeated calls went unanswered, but when he was reached, he again promised to return, but that promise was also unkept. Bottom line, Mike is a flake who should not be trusted. His work is unsatisfactory and unreliable at best.

I signed up and the service was performed and I was a satisfied customer... UNTIL I found I was overcharged as the amount charged included what the city was too pay. I talked to the plesant ladies a sav-a-tree and was to get a refund. I estimate about $155 or so. Months later still n9 refund But did get a lot of excuses. What was a mistake has turned into a stressful situation. Not sure if I will ever get my refund.
