Allows untold numbers of trespassers driving through our property but also can't get the asphalt redone as promised. Elizabeth (the supposed owner) never answers the phone. Blames owners for lack of attendance to her horribly run, inaccessible (not everyone has a computer) annual meetings. Forbids reaching out to other owners/ residents & board members though she's not getting her job done. Won't accept digital payments from my bank; they have to mail a paper check every month. Live in an 8 floor building that has not had a working elevator for 4 months. This building has multiple people who are wheelchair bound. It went down the first or second week of April 2025, it is now August and it's still not working. They keep saying they're "working on it". Would just like to remind them that: "Housing providers are required to provide reasonable accommodations for residents with disabilities, ensuring equal opportunity to use and enjoy their homes. Massachusetts law also mandates that services like elevators, if provided, are kept in good working condition." This is not the first time this has happened. They've known about the elevator issues for years. Pretty sure we haven't gone a full year without the elevator breaking down for a few days/weeks/months since I moved into the building. They just never did anything to fix it properly. (We have two in the building, and one of them has never worked since I moved into my unit.) Yet they're raising their fees, therefore our rents are going up. I've always had weak knees, and now I've got a sprained one with tears in my ligaments from walking up and down 7 flights of stairs to get to work. Do you think they'll take accountability for that? Being an owner in good standing my experience with Alpine has been abysmal. Not only are they impossible to reach (all phones go to VM, no live contacts, email is rarely responded to) but they regular skirt and avoid their own commitments. Service requests for common / shared space upkeep are regularly met with offers to preform the work IF I PAY FOR IT. That would be in additional to the $500 / month fee they already receive from just my unit. Special acknowledgement to Gina Lepore - the current PM and least pleasant person I've worked with to date. If you own an Alpine managed unit you're familiar with the accusatory and demeaning tone of her communication. Who is making the decisions here? I set up autopay which sometimes works and sometimes does not work. Their answer? Check it yourself to make sure it went through. This is the most unprofessional and useless company on the planet! They have been gaslighting me for 18 years and they are the ones who have CONSTANTLY made mistakes... Worst company ever! Horrible!!!!!!!!! Waste of time and money!!!!! We have a 15-unit condo in Lynn, MA. We pay $800/mo for full service. In return we get almost no service, or really bad service. They almost never visit our property. So, we pay Alpine to manage our condo, but in reality our condo owners end up doing all the management work for Alpine. Very frustrating! I will be stunned if the condo owners vote to keep Alpine at our next annual meeting. Strangely, their office workers are quite nice and pleasant. The company itself is just a mess. read more

Their plumber found the source of a leak that has plagued the common area longer than I have been here. Extensive roof work was done only to find it was a leaking toilet pipe. Have lived at a property managed by Alpine for over 5 years. Admittedly, I was not a fan of Alpine when I first arrived (not getting emails answered, leaving messages and not getting calls back). But since becoming more involved in the community and learning more about Alpine, I have come to realize the following: -In the beginning, I got my responses from Alpine but not as fast as I wanted them (but they did answer me and did provide what I asked for) -Since becoming more involved in the community, I have learned that some do not like the answers they get from Alpine, including myself at times -Residents, including myself, need to be more patient, especially when living in such a large community -Alpine is trying to make improvements and, when delivered in a healthy, mature, and constructive way (not yelling and/or calling them names), Alpine listens to feedback Alpine knows they need to make improvements. My understanding is they are under new management. Good. I would rather work with them, give them constructive feedback, push them to give better customer service, rather than complaining and gossiping with neighbors and not being proactive. Also, what responsibility do I/we have living in large community. If I/we do not like living in a community, then we should sell and invest in a single-family home. Looking forward to continuing a healthy working relationship with Alpine. read more

I've owned my condo in a building managed by Alpine for about 2.5 years. I work nearly every day to afford my place and I love my apartment but I am extremely unhappy with the highly unprofessional management. For example: at a time when I was having knee problems and difficulty on the stairs, the elevator fails inspection and it takes 2 months+ to solve--meanwhile at one point the property manager, Sandra, goes on a cruise for a week and apparently no one else follows up on the elevator. Also, she emails saying the most she can do is call the elevator company once a week to check on progress. Once a week? She has also been rude and unprofessional. My fees went up this year and there was little to no explanation given after numerous emails. She doesn't respond to emails then finally sends vague answers to questions asked repeatedly in red lettering, like I wasn't paying attention to answers she didn't give in the first place. One time she was out due to a family emergency (it happens) and I called the office to ask about the elevator issue and a few other things per her automatic reply to call the office with questions. An employee named Liz intentionally hung up on me twice as I was asking these questions. Again: so unprofessional. Just a couple of examples. Proceed with caution. In their defense though, I haven't been diligent about condo board meetings. I'm very busy but that will change. I'm going to try to go straight to the board next time, as per a lawyer's advice. read more

When an issue happened, no response, no help. I need to find a way to survive by myself. That day, we did not have even one drop water in my condo. With two kids the life was very difficult and weather was really bad. The alpine did not provide any help even ask what was happening. I sent an email for asking the main reason for the cause but our condo manager did not reply at all. Just like others had said, no response and disable to help. Beside this, our yard only presents healthy green color for 1-2 months during whole year. I really recommend people not to use alpine and I don't think this company even worth one star. I own a condo that Alpine "manages". Recently, I made a monthly HOA payment through my bank on time. However, somehow Alpine's payment processing did not receive the payment on time and they assessed me a fine. To their credit, after I proved to them that the check had been sent on time they cancelled the fine and asked me to re-issue the payment, which I did. Also, I mentioned canceling the initial payment by asking the bank to stop payment on the check and the Alpine person who I talked to agreed that was the proper thing to do. Weeks later Alpine found the initial check and tried to cash it, which they could't because of the stop payment. They then issued me a new fine for their being unable to cash the initial check. After multiple discussions, they said that they could not cancel the fine. So Alpine's customers must pay fines for their incompetence where they misplace a check and later try to cash it after they agreed that it was lost. read more

I owned a condo and Alpine was the building manager there, and I had a couple small issues with the building nothing big. I called there and I was transferred to Brett Fay. We start talking and you could not ask for a nicer person, he told me those issues was going to be taking care to give him a couple days. We end up meeting a the property the following week it was a great pleasure meeting Brett, also my issues was taking care. This place is literally the worst management company ever. For the past two days I've had literally shitty sewer water backing up into my kitchen and bathroom sinks. We call alpine and they said they would send someone over this was at 9 pm last night. No one ever showed because my husband stayed up until 2 am waiting for them to come deal with this. Today my husband called again and their response was we are sending someone over and that was 3 hours ago and no one has come. I'm at wits end as this is the fourth time in a year span where sewerage backs up. Instead of addressing the problem Alpine slaps a band aid on it and says its fixed. Seriously why am I paying a ludicrous amount of money in HOA fees for god awful service. They are beyond negligent with dealing with building issues. The sewerage issue is A health hazard and my poor neighbors and myself are dealing with this nightmare especially after the drainage issues where my toilets, sinks, and tubs and the drain in the common hallway filled up with shitty water. No notice of meetings, no minutes from meetings. They add charges which never occur(fraud and embezzlement). They overcharge the building for every thing. How about $700 for postage when they send out 3 notices per year to 12 clients? How about all the "Undesignated " maintenance charges which amount to tens of thousands of dollars per year? No upgrades to the buildings. They construe high HOA fees and then provide little for your money. Oh good! After a 10 hour work day, I am more than thrilled to come home to a notice from the joke of a management office at Alpine in regards to the sudden enforcement of the "dog rules" at Village Green in Malden. I can't think of a better use of time and money than to have someone hand deliver this letter to targeted residents to notify them of a the ever-so-terrifying, but never heard of penalty fine for having your dog off-leash. Let's just take a look at priorities here and address the real, legitimate issues at this property: -Dog feces: perhaps we should be more concerned with owners not picking up after their dogs than we are about the dogs being off-leash (I have yet to witness a dog at this property misbehave, on or off leash) -Laundry "facility": and I use the term facility loosely, as there is one washer and one dryer for a group of, what? Fifteen or more residents? And definitely no rush to get those repaired when they break down... I'm more than happy to go without clean laundry despite the asinine cost of rent I pay at this shit hole. I include the rent I pay on my clothes in that statement as well. Laundry costs $1.75 per load in the washer. But Alpine is sure to inform you of just how generous they are by putting up a notice that they chose NOT to increase the charge for coin-op laundry by $.25. Gee thanks...pat on the back and cookies for you guys. -We can afford to pay for vacuuming and shampooing of the disgusting, irreparable carpeting in the common area (which literally only includes the stairs in the condo buildings), but we can't arrange for recycling? Look - these carpets are going to continue to look like someone vomited on them after mistaking the stairs for a urinal regardless of how much lemon-scented shampoo you throw on them. -Likewise, I am SO glad I pay for the maintenance on a pool I never use because we're too cheap to invest in chairs. -Addressing noise complaints and gas leaks or landlords harassing their rental tenants, enforcing the no-smoking rule in condo buildings? Nawww, we have more important fish to fry. But sure, ask us if we want more shrubbery in the community. Maybe extra foliage will cover the eye-sore of a property this place is. And definitely, please do waste time worrying about leashed pets in a community where corruption and favoritism run rampant. Heaven forbid the Board president's dog ever be greeted by an off-leash wagging tail. I am SO glad I pay your salary through my even more incompetent and corrupt landlord. read more

People are quick to complain and write about their negative experiences, but I KNOW that I can't be the only one that is so far completely satisfied with Alpine. I was extremely hesitant to rent through them at first due to the poor reviews. I put my faith in them and did anyway, and I'm glad I did. First off, Brett is my property manager. Ali is the Owner/President from what I understand. I cannot speak for the other managers, but i can tell you that these two guys are stand up. There were a few bumps at first, but once I got my foot in the door, they have been extremely reliable, accommodating and lightning quick to resolve any issues. The first thing was our kitchen sink. It was a bit dated and the spray hose was broken probably from the previous tenant. I mentioned it to Brett and maintenance was here early the next morning with a deeper sink as the previous one was very shallow and could not hold many dishes. I ended up with a soap dispenser rather than a sink hose, which is taking some getting used to, but we're just grateful to have gotten a new sink. The next thing was the gas oven. It was a very old Tappan stove that the previous tenants left filthy. We were getting around to cleaning it but noticed when we turned the gas mains on that when we came home from work at night we could smell gas. Nothing too hazardous, but enough that when National Grid came out to inspect, they confirmed that the oven was quite old and they detected trace amounts of gas leak around it most likely due to its age. I let Brett know and the following day he texts me letting me know that they've ordered the new oven and it would be in within a week. As promised, Ali showed up on a Thursday with a plumber to hook up the new stove which was brand new (or refurb) but a great stove none the less which was light years better than the Tappan. Finally, last night we noticed that the ceiling in our bathroom was dripping. I again messaged Brett around 7PM and he said that it would be taken care of in the morning which was true as the owner Ali and the maintenance fellow were knocking on my door first thing to assess the damage. We take off to work and when we get home, it's no longer dripping and instead of doing a hacked patch job, I think they're planning on replacing that whole section of breadboard ceiling. Alpine deserves all 5 stars. Not one bad thing to say. If things continue this way, we'll be sure to renew the lease when the time comes. read more

Those positives reviews was righting a long time ago with different management and this is nothing to do with Sandra, who is really a worst manager we ever seen. it's awful service. Never do any outside work and never clean snow on parking lot. I fell many times and my car got stuck because of never clean snow. For new owners, they never gives any keys for post office and outside doors. whenever I called for anything and they never helpful. They don't even know how to talk to customers. Here's that example. If I could give lower than a zero I would start to go into negative stars. This place is the worst building management in the state or even country. Not only are the employees (Kris and Donna) extreeeeeeeemly rude they also condescend and demean you. I had come back to my apartment from a vacation at 2 am and I came to a unheated 50 deg apartment. When calling the EMERGENCY hotline I was told it was reported that they they will look into it thats it and she wanted to get off the phone. However I kept her on asking when and should expect someone now etc. all she said was not sure I reported it. At this point my apt was unbearable it was so cold I could not sleep here and I called back demanding someone fix this problem which mind you was not my fault and she said "I reported it and theres nothing else I can do" I asked her what is the purpose of the emergency hotline and what if this was you and your apt to again she said "I reported it and theres nothing else I can do" but also added "Im not allowed to have an opinion" when pleading with her saying it is too cold I can not bear to be in my own apt or sleep here and I have work in the morning she said you guessed it "I reported it and theres nothing else I can do" absolutely no customer service or care at all to this poor excuse of a management company. Dealing with them has taught me a severe lesson in always reading reviews of building management companies before renting.
