As a Realtor I take referring a Lender to my client's very seriously. In doing so I am telling my clients whose trust I have earned that they can also trust this Lender to properly pre-qualify them, get them the best rates possible, provide them with exceptional customer service, and (most importantly) close the deal. After working on several transactions with Andrew Lippert I can say that I have 100% confidence in him and his team. He closes my files on-time if not early, is a great communicator, and exhausts all possibilities in order to help my clients achieve their desired outcome. There are many different options and factors in choosing a Lender, but remember, when it comes to buying property getting a Lender that can actually close the deal is the utmost importance. read more

I'm a first-time home buyer. I didn't know much about the process, but I do know bad customer service when I see it. I wouldn't recommend Alpine Mortgage to anyone unless you don't mind a consultant who ignores your calls, doesn't communicate or keep you informed, and ignores your agent. Jim Seibert * Did not return calls or texts in a timely manner (to myself or my agent). * Did not keep me apprised of the status of things. * Doesn't listen - I'd tell him things and when he failed to factor it into his next step and I'd ask why, he'd say, "I didn't know that." * When he makes a mistake - and who doesn't - he took no responsibility for it. He would get defensive and list all the things he's done for me, including taking credit for my credit score going up. Excuse me, I didn't realize you were paying my bills! My agent, who's been a Realtor for 20 years, said she'd never dealt with anyone like that in her career. The icing on the cake was when she discovered (quite accidentally) that my loan had actually been suspended! Apparently Jim Seibert didn't think this was important information for my agent or me to know. Perhaps because it was their doing; I know it wasn't mine because I did everything they asked and I did it immediately. My closing required three extensions and I know it wasn't my doing. Finally, after we closed I started getting SPAM from Alpine. When I emailed Jim and asked to be removed from the mailing list, I received another defensive, arrogant response. At least I got a response, right? read more

Awesome Experience with Karl Kimm!!!! Was referred by my real estate agent after Chase Bank rescinded a 'pre-approval' letter & we were already in contract!!! Got an interest rate 1% lower than Chase offered!!!!!!! read more

Kevin Kirk is fantastic. We worked with Alpine Mortgage, and they are not the cheapest, but we got Cadillac treatment and competitive rates. During our search for lenders, we ran into a number of options that seemed great at first, but then turned into nightmares. I will not name the competitors, but will lavish kudos upon Alpine Mortgage. I am at best, a difficult customer, especially where it comes to large scale purchases. I demanded information at every turn and kept shopping around until near the end of our home purchase journey. Kevin was always responsive and made time to speak with my family and I when we "spazzed" out. Purchasing a home is a VERY stressful time and you want and NEED to know that your financing is getting handled capably and surely. Kevin did a lot of the underwriting investigation with us prior to the real underwriting. This made our loan flow much more smoothly. I cannot recommend Kevin enough. Thank you SO MUCH for handling us with such skill. Rob and Scheherazade MacGregor read more

10/10! Michael Gallagher went above and beyond to keep the transaction from blowing up. He made himself available countless times, often for 45+ minute telephone calls. He did a great job of mediating disputes with the (idiot) realtor, and provided detailed explanations regarding how the financing process works and what everything means. He stepped up and filled in where our realtor came up short - which is well beyond his job description. This was a first-time home purchase and Michael did everything right to earn the business. He did a great job of managing expectations along the way. While I have only had limited experience with mortgage brokers, I have heard enough horror stories about others in the business to say with confidence that Michael is the real deal. I have gladly recommended Michael to my friends or family and will continue to do so. When it comes time to refinance, there will be no hesitation in calling Michael immediately! read more

MICHAEL GALLAGHER is probably one of the best guys that I have ever worked with. His team were so diligent and professional. They answered every question promptly and clearly and always kept me up to date. This was my first home purchase, and I wish I would have known the process was going to be so easy. There are so many perks in going with Apline Mortgage. He and his team at Apline will be my go to loan officers from here on out. read more

This review is long overdue. Jeff Marr is an excellent guy. Very knowledgeable and friendly. He helped me refi my home by helping get the best rate and made process seem simple yet educating as well. I still keep in contact with him and my family has also refi. there home with Alpine. GREAT SERVICE! Thanks read more

Lyle Innocent has been a true professional. The buyer/borrower he is working with was using a different lender when they wrote an offer on a property I have listed. The buyer got very bad advice regarding their VA eligibility from the previous loan officer, and provided a Pre-Approval that was absolutely worthless. As a result, two weeks into the deal we had a real mess. Lyle and his team stepped in and got to work. With some effort, we reconstructed the deal to give both buyer and seller the same financial outcome, and the delay in closing was kept to under two weeks. Lyle was extremely proactive in keeping me informed, which allowed me to keep the sellers from jumping ship. I did not have a previous business relationship with Lyle, and I am not writing this review at Lyle's (or anyone else's) request. I am writing this review because it's not always easy for buyers/borrowers to find a loan officer who will do ALL the work necessary to get them the loan they need. If you are looking for a loan officer, Lyle Innocent would be a great choice. read more

UPDATE: One less star for the amount of spam I receive related to Alpine Mortgage. I get at least 3 things a week about life insurance for my "alpine mortgage" loan or telling me I have to act now to insure I can make my payment. I expected the mailers from all the companies that get bureau report information and the ADT hawks... but not so much from them. Original review: Really good. Erik Peterson got the loan closed. Short sale experience was terrible with the SELLER's side but that wasn't on Alpine Mortgage. They were ready to go but it made it so we had to do everything last second and rush it and still got it closed the final day we could for the Short Sale approval letters. The team was really good. Everything went well overall. ONLY NEGATIVE: The reason I'd like a 4.5 stars option is that I just don't like the fees wrapped in. Part of my loan included a grant, so I knew the rate would be a bit higher, but closing costs were incredible in the amount. Hoping when I refinance at the height of the housing bubble, and in turn getting 20% equity, I can get a lower rate and COST to refi. Will check with alpine and others. read more

I read a review about another Employee for this company and I am quite jealous of their experience. Everything they said that was good, was the opposite for us: Our loan consultant refused to email the information to both loan signers, and was never easy to reach. Quite often when he didn't have good news, he wouldn't respond to our emails/voicemails for days at a time. We were told that they could do a FHA and 203K, but when it came down to it, they didn't know the necessary steps and led us in circles, doubling our 45 day closing timeline. I would not recommend using Kevin Kirk. read more

If you want to purchase your first home and you want a company who will do the work and make it simple and a good experience do not go here. This company made things so hard and I closed a month late, I barely even got the house because of them not having my paperwork, which I had to give to them over and over again, Thanks to Stacy Medinas whom was very rude not only to me but also my real estate agent and Thanks to Jim Seibert who had the worse communication and was out of the loop and physically gone throughout almost the entire process. I literally broke done in tears and was a nervous wreck the last 3 weeks of the sale because they didnt close when they were supposed to. Communication is such a huge part when working with people and having to deal with someone who is rude tops it off. Look into other companies. read more

As a first time home buyer I had a lot of uncertainty about the whole mortgage application and selection process. I can't say enough positive things about our experience with Keith Collins and his team. Everyone we worked with was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. We could not have hoped for a more professional broker. Very smooth experience - when we're ready to move we'll be back. read more

I worked with Keith Collins and his team to purchase my first home. They were extremely professional and went above and beyond! It's been a year and a half since I closed and I still contact Keith for advice. I highly recommend. read more

I had a great experience with Alpine Mortgage. I worked with Chris Kohler. This guy was on top of things. He always made time for me. This was my first time purchasing a home and I had dozens of questions which he answered every one of them. I emailed him after hours expecting a reply the following morning and most of the time he replied that night. He also was present with my realtor when I signed at title. You pay a little extra for their services but I think it was worth it. This guy went above and beyond in my opinion. I've recommended him to several co-workers and friends. read more

I would never never use or recommend this company. I have been working with Bruce, and I can never get a straight answer. We signed papers on monday after a 45 plus day escrow, and now he says he may get it closed by friday. This is not acceptable. I purchased many homes and have never had to do the work myself. I have never had it take four days to close after signing either. If you want professional and efficient service, don't use alpine mortgage. read more

David O. and his team are AMAZING! I cannot stress how much I enjoyed working with them and their whole company. David is up to date on all the new loan programs, and first time home buyer programs. He saved me so much money I can barely believe it! Being a first time home buyer we all know how confusing and stressful it can all be - not with them. They explained everything to me in plain English and replied to my many emails VERY promptly. When they say you can own a home cheaper than renting - it's actually true! I would definitely refer them to others who are looking to buy or refinance a home, and will use them in the future for all my home loan needs. Thank you David! read more

I'm am in complete shock at the incompetence of this company. Very unprofessional attitude from the agent. I was in escrow for 7 weeks due to their negligence in getting the paperwork needed to complete to process. My realtor finally retrieved the paperwork needed. Now they are changing all of the terms and want $12k MORE at closing than the approval and now I have to eat all of the cost I have incurred and have no home. Merry Christmas read more

MICHAEL GALLAGHER is an exceptional loan officer! Not only did he get my buyer into a loan that put her into better financial situation than her previous lender but he also was very thorough in explaining all the details! Lyle Innocent is most certainly THE BEST out there. He and Dawn made me feel comfortable from the minute I walked through the door. He outlined the entire homebuying process for us, from the very beginning and there were no surprises. I never once had to wait for a return phone call or email. We were always made to feel like we were his first priority. As first time homebuyers, feeling confident was the most important thing for me. I have already recommended Lyle to several people that I know are considering buying a home. You can't ask for better service than you get here! read more

My husband and I were in a major jam because we were in escrow and our loan was suspended. Jim Seibert, Stacey Medinas and Eimile Leathers saved the day with a heroic effort! They were able to get us a portfolio loan and they closed the loan in exactly 2 weeks as they promised. We moved into our new home two days ago, and we are so grateful to alpine mortgage for making it happen. So pleased with the amount of effort and timeliness put toward our case. During the entire process we were informed about the status and everyone was so pleasant and positive. Thanks Team Seibert- you guys rock!! read more

Kevin Kirk is a man that knows his business. If you need help with a mortgage whether you are buying or refinancing he's your man!

Lyle Innocent is a life saver! He rescued my husband and I from our previous lender. He got us every bit of information we asked for plus more. Walked us through every single step of the process, when he needed things singed he even met us near my home to make it convenient. Truly an excellent team at Alpine Mortgage! I would recommend them to anyone in need of a lender! read more

Michael Gallagher and his team were amazing through the entire process. I wish all businesses I interact with were as professional and courteous as this organization. They made the home buying process simple to understand and expertly guided me every step of the way. It's very important to have a team working on your behalf to close that loan, especially in this sellers market. That appraisal needs to be ordered right away along with many other time sensitive documents, Michaels team executed each step with flawless timing. You won't lose the deal with this team on your side. Thank you Michael and the Alpine Mortgage team! read more

Michael Gallagher is my man at Alpine. I have done two refinances with him and his team and I could not imagine doing this process without him. He communicates so it makes sense and makes the process super easy. His team stays on you for what you need and the process is smooth and both instances incredibly rewarding emotionally and financially. Highly, highly recommended! read more

We worked with Erik Petersen. We did NOT enjoy our experience. He is difficult to get in contact with and doesn't make much of an effort to contact you. We mentioned that we were considering going through a family friend we have in the same bussiness if she could get us a better rate and received and very unproffesional and rude email back. We should have know better than to continue working with him at that point but we did anyway. I understand that these things take time but we had been given specific dates for closing and signing several times and each one came and went without a call or email to let us know what was up. Overall, just very unprofessional and we did not feel like he wanted to help us at all. read more

Jim Seibert was referred to us by our realtor. Big mistake. His rates were high, he didn't pay attention (for example, asking me twice in the same conversation if I was a first time home buyer), tried to steer me towards longer loans without asking what I wanted, kept calling me "sir" instead of my actual name in communications, and gave me wrong information when I asked about my credit score being affected by shopping around with other brokers (FYI- looking at more than 2-3 brokers in less than a week will not further harm your credit score). I got the impression that he's sloppy, unknowledgeable, dishonest, lazy, and indifferent, which looks to comport with the experience others have had with him. Not willing to trust or work with someone like that who's responsible for hundreds of thousands of dollars of my money. read more

Great company. Eric was right on time and did everything to make the process as smooth as possible. Great experience.

Mike Farr and the Alpine team were outstanding. They have helped me out on two home purchases and I plan on using them on the next. I have recommended them to both family and friends. Being able to trust your loan officer is an incredible thing. Mike and his team has your best interest in mind, not his bottom line. That is rare to see this day and age. read more

Cannot say enough positive things about the service, the people and my experience. Michael Galleger and Marcelle helped me all the way from application to loan closing! They never missed a beat, I knew at all times what and where my loan was, they returned calls promptly. It's too bad I cannot shop with them all the time! Buying a house was NOT a nightmare, but a great experience with Alpine Mortgage. I would recommend them to everyone looking for a smooth buying experience... Yeah... I've got a new house! read more

Erik Petersen and his team (including the wonderful Christy Cisneros) were amazing to work with during our home purchase. Erik and Christy answered each and every one of our (at times many, many) questions in a very timely manner. We started our pre-approval process while we still lived ourseas and Erik was on top of everything that needed to be done. Considering the huge time difference between Europe and California, everything came together smoothly and we never once felt overlooked. Once we were local and under contract, it was great knowing that we had an excellent team working for us during our house buying process. We highly recommend Erik and his team! read more

Marie O' My husband and I had the good fortune of working with Michelle Costa at Alpine Mortgage recently. We had a great experience with Michelle. From the beginning she was quite friendly and personable. As time went on, she also proved to be very efficient at her job. She was very helpful in assisting us to qualify for for a low down loan. She was always on top of communicating with us on new developments, and in guiding us through the process. Everything went quite smoothly. When it came time to close, we met her face to face for the first time at the Alpine office in Roseville, along with the notary. The last time we bought a house years ago, the agent rapidly babbled what each form was about, followed by repetitive "sign here". But with Michelle, the meeting took on the tone of a celebration. We took the time to get to know each other a little better, while also doing business. We went in to the meeting stressed by all the demands of the past few weeks, and left feeling happy, and accomplished in having implemented a major life goal. My husband and I both recommend Michelle highly. read more

Jim Seibert's team at Alpine Mortgage Planning could not have been easier to work with. We had worked with Jim several years ago and were very pleased, so we sought him out again for a home addition re-fi loan.
