My mother's home and car were insured by a major national company whose name is prioritized in an alphabetical list. Upon her passing, it was utterly impossible to continue home and car coverage through them, despite my being on titles for both. After several phone calls and my satisfying their multiple requests that ended up being irrelevant, I had believed it was simply impossible to continue coverage while I was out of the country. A friend suggested either an insurance broker or a more local company. I am grateful to past reviewers that led me to Rachael Schryer in the office of Eric Olivas. With Ms. Schryer, not only was I able to obtain coverage for my mom's home without issue, but also her car. Unfortunately, I only realized that I filled out the wrong DMV form when I was finally forwarded a notice that the DMV had cancelled the car registration. Based on the DMV website, I would have had to pay over $1000 and wait 45 days before I could get anything straightened out. Ms. Schryer went above and beyond in helping me get the mess straightened out for much less cost and delay by connecting me with a DMV agent who was just as helpful. In closing, I cannot recommend Rachael Schryer in the office of Eric Olivas enough. Insurance is one of those things that you hope is uneventful, but when things go wrong, you want someone exceedingly competent and helpful on your side.

My initial meeting with Eric was pleasant. However, problems arose about a year into doing business with him. First of all, I had ZERO INFRACTIONS and my insurance went up from $80/month to $120/month in less than a year(!!!). (And that is WITH a teacher discount). That is an increase of $40/month totaling $480 more a year. As a result, the card that I had on automatic payment was unexpectedly and unknowingly declined because the bank flagged it as fraudulent because it was not authorized for the increasing amount. Eric's office sent me an email regarding this; however, I did not receive it because my previous correspondence was directly from Eric's email, but this urgent and important email came from his secretary (which my email provider did not recognize and flagged as spam). When I spoke to the secretary about this (Eric was out of the office), she said that she had also sent a read receipt with the email. I did not receive the email, so she should have realized that I did not read it from the read receipt. I only found it in my spam box AFTER the urgent deadline. My insurance was then cancelled without my knowledge. To make things even more confusing, I had just received a new insurance card in the mail from Farmers, valid for another 6 months. In the meantime, I had decided to shop around for other insurance and found something MUCH more reasonable. To make a long story short, because of the ineffective and faulty communication on the part of Eric's office and unknowingly having my policy canceled, I ended up with a ONE DAY lapse in insurance and had to pay the DMV HUNDREDS of dollars to get my registration reinstated. Poor communication and outrageous prices....not worth it. I am working hard to pay off my student loan debt and the last thing that I need is to be stuck paying outrageous fines that are a result of someone else's negligence.

This is a very small, family owned office. They are accessible, friendly, helpful, professional, and just all around great at what they do. Their office is in a sweet little brick bungalow with a lawn and lush trees and plants all around. This is a very small, family run business. When you enter, you are treated very warmly by one of the team or even Nancy herself and made to feel that you have been invited into their home. Within fifteen minutes, I felt like we were friends. Every other time I have been in the office I am welcomed warmly and always feel that they have the time to answer any questions and help with any insurance need I may have. Carri, Ryan, and Megan are knowledgable and professional and no matter who you deal with, they are there to help you, not to try to sell you something you may not want.
