Mr. C.K. is the attendant at the desk when I drop off and pick up cleaning. Greeting me by name, he is always pleasant. We have now known each other for years. We have had conversations that demonstrate to me that he has a wide knowledge of and appreciation for African American history--which is my people's history. I wish I could give them zero stars. I was not as close to the drive thru window as he would like so attendant was very rude and nasty. When I question his rudeness, he stated that the customer is not always right. I told it's not about right or wrong but how you speak to your customers. I ask for my clothing items back and left. He doesn't value our dollar to go else where. read more

My husband and I have used Alpine Cleaners for more than 20 years. We have always received great service - friendly, courteous and consistently reliable. Having tried other dry cleaners in our area, I have not found one who delivers the caliber of excellent services that Alpine does. They are not cheap; good service never is. I'm not looking for a bargain; I'm looking for a cleaner that recognizes my clothing, linens, rugs and bedding as investments and will care for them accordingly. Alpine is it for me! read more

If I could give these cleaners no stars I absolutely would. I just called to notify them of a few mistakes made with my dry cleaning and was met with a bunch of excuses and no apologies or offers to rectify the situation. Not only did the RUIN a pair of Ralph Lauren dress slacks by shrinking them. They also ruined a pair of Eddie Bauer dress slacks I asked them to alter. If you advertise that you do "professional alterations" then you would know that you should taper the pant leg during an alteration. These pants are now too short and also bell bottoms so I am unable to take them to real cleaners to get a proper alteration. This cleaners does not even deserve one star. I took my items to this cleaners for the past 10 months with no issues, until today. I took a bedspread with 2 matching pillow shams and a comforter with 2 matching pillow shams to Alpine Cleaners to be cleaned. I assumed I would pay $50-$60 to have these items cleaned. I took the items in a large black trash bag and I told the attendant, who I also suspect is the owner, the items that were in the bag. I even started taking the items out of the bag, but he insisted that I leave them in the bag. He seemed confused about what to charge me or how to ring up the items, but he eventually gave me the ticket and told me they would be ready in 2 days at anytime. When I looked at the ticket, I noticed the price was half of what I was expecting to pay. My only mistake was that I did not look in detail at the list of items on the ticket. I returned 2 days later to pick up my items, and the same attendant seemed unsure about which items were mine, even though he had the ticket in his hand. He showed me the bedspread with matching pillow shams, which did not have a ticket attached to it, and I told him that was mine. I had to come around the counter to help him find the comforter and matching pillow shams, but this had the ticket attached so I am not sure why he could not find it. He then told me that he did not make a ticket for the bedspread and that he had to charge me an additional $25, and he insisted that I told him I gave him a bed skirt with the comforter, which I did not. I told him that I never I said anything about a bed skirt and that it is his fault and mistake that he did not enter the correct information. We kept going back and forth about the items I delivered and the cost of the items until I finally had to tell him that he was not going to make me pay for his mistake. I had to threaten to take him to court so that he would honor the price on the ticket and let me leave with my items. He then told me to take my business elsewhere, and I had to remind that he was just upset because he was wrong. He interrupted me and told me that the transaction was over and that I should just leave. I was actually in the process of leaving and I was not planning to come back anyway. I told him that he was upset that I was not going to pay for his mistake and that he had a horrible business. By the way, this entire incident and conversation took place in front of another customer. The owner made a mistake on my order, expected me to pay for his mistake, and was rude to me in front of another customer. If you value customer service, accuracy, and accountability, I encourage you to please take your money and business to a different cleaners. read more
