The lobby is absolutely spectacular and feels like it belongs to another era, with elegant details that immediately catch your eye. There isn't a whole lot to see or do throughout the rest of the building, but that almost adds to its calm atmosphere. I appreciated being able to warm up, slow down, and enjoy the peaceful, serene setting for a bit. It's a simple stop, but a pleasant one that offers a nice pause from the cold and the bustle outside.

Tip: The original Hotel Utah was built in 1911 The lobby of this building has impressive marble columns and a sweeping staircase which contribute to a striking, majestic look and feel.  The building still has quite a lot of character.  The middle floors contain offices, and downstairs there a genealogy research library where visitors can look up facts about their ancestors.

This old building has been totally and sleekly remodeled with homage to the past that respects the amazing bones of the building. One of my favorite buildings in the city. Perhaps my favorite part of the building is the rough hewn timber columns and joists that serve as the raw skeleton. Plenty of exposed brick walls also abound, and I'm completely charmed by the old spiral slide that used to shuttle manufactured goods from the upper floors all the way down. It's been preserved and gives incredible character to the space for weddings, parties, fundraisers and more. This is all coming from the point of view of an attendee; to date I've never worked with the fine folks behind the building and have only attended events in the space. They host some pretty remarkable events, so I've got to think they're on top of things. When they're not hosting events (and even when they are), the building is home to all kinds of offices from the tech to the more mundane. There's lots of parking on the north side of the building, which empties out rapidly at the end of business hours. The south side of the building is now nearly kissing a new bridge for Trax, so it's best to just turn in from the north and you can find parking further north or east. I always look forward to events at the SL Hardware Building. It's classy but still casual, convenient, and a stellar spot in SLC. Kudos to those who made the expensive decision to spruce it back up and honor the past. Well done!

The people who are working the venue are really nice and super helpful. This was my first time at a concert at the Maverick Center and their acoustics are not as good as other indoor arenas I have been to. I don't know if it was the band or just the way the sound is set up in the building. There was so much base that it made it really difficult to hear the singing. The venue is decent. I would come back if there is a band I'm interested in seeing.

It felt more intimate than a huge stadium, and I loved that it was close to our hotel. The area around it was cute too, and there's a whole floor inside with different stadium-style food options. A couple things to know before going...it gets REALLY hot inside. I was sweating like I was in hot yoga even while drinking plenty of cold water. I really wish there had been better air circulation, especially with a packed crowd. Also, we grabbed tacos from one of the concession stands and unfortunately they were cold, including the meat, which was disappointing. The biggest issue was actually leaving the venue. Getting in was easy, but getting out was a completely different story. It took somewhere around 1 1/2-2 hours before traffic was properly coordinated and we could finally get moving. It seemed like the surrounding streets may have needed to be blocked off or better managed to help everyone leave. Hopefully that's something they can improve for future events. Aside from those things, we had an amazing time. Olivia Dean was incredible, and the Utah crowd was honestly one of my favorite parts. Everyone was singing, dancing, and completely immersed in the concert. Utah, I love you guys! You were such a beautiful audience to experience this with.

The setting is beautiful and timeless and it was so nice to have most of the stress of the wedding handled by the wonderful staff. The lighting was so soft and elegant. It has the perfect lay out for a ceremony, reception, pictures and dance floor; we took advantage of all of these. The staff was so accommodating and kind. While we, her parents were thrilled with the day, our daughter, her new husband and our family and friends all seemed to love it just as much. It was a great experience. I'd recommend Le Jardin for any small-ish occasion. We had about 125 guests and it was perfect.

It's now a marketplace with an open space filled with sofas, benches, chairs, tables, coffee shop, tattoo shop, plant store from what I recalled. People can rent out the space to hold social / community events there, too. I ended up staying for a few hours after visiting the bookstore to participate in an arts+craft activity. I saw people ordering coffee and spending some time there to read &/or socialize. Parking can be found in the streets. Free Saturday and Sunday, but of course, suggest checking the sign. Next time, I'll come back to check out other stores and the upper level.

The most recent time, was this past week when my nephew got married. They rented the lodge and included their decoration rental charge as well. I don't know the specifics for the amounts that were charged, but I know that they had it on a Monday night, because it was cheaper than a weekend. They had so many decoration options and I think it was less than $500 to add all of those options. Very reasonable amount. Perfect location, gorgeous views and amenities! Check them out! Oh, I'm pretty sure this location doesn't allow alcohol, so be aware of that if you are needing a venue that allows alcohol.
