Attended my friend's wedding reception here. The venue itself is beautiful, with lots of greenery…read moreand natural charm--so much so that the couple didn't need to add much in terms of decorations. It's a lovely space visually, but there were several issues that made the experience less enjoyable. The venue is located right next to a busy road, and traffic noise was a real distraction. During the ring ceremony, when the couple was exchanging vows, we could hear cars honking outside, which really disrupted the moment. Inside, it was very humid and made the space feel hot and sticky--especially tough for guests dressed formally. The sound system also left a lot to be desired. The MC had trouble playing music, and no staff were around to assist. I had to walk all the way to the office to find a hostess, and all of this delayed the program. The groom also performed a song for the bride, but the mic quality was poor and we could barely hear him. There is a parking lot, which is convenient, and the venue does have potential. But between the noise, heat, and tech issues, it's hard to fully recommend for events where comfort and smooth coordination are important.

Beautiful venue but so disappointed in the climate control. The employee in charged showed up two…read morehours before the bride walked down the isle to turn on the A/C. It was incredibly hot and humid. The wedding started at 5:00pm and it was finally cool by 7:00pm. Totally unacceptable. It really ruined this important day.

Amazing place. So wonderful to visit. That was a very fast four hours…read more We arrived at opening and there was already quite a crowd. When we left, the parking lot was overflowing and cars circling around trying to find a parking space. Still, with the influx of larger crowds to parking lot capacity, it didn't feel crowded inside. This is a wonderful place to visit. A wonderful place to bring family and friends..There are animals and species that I've never seen anywhere else, and I've been to the Tucson Sonoran Desert Museum, the San Diego Safari Park, Sea World, Scripps Oceanography, and various zoos. This was a treat. And almost all were active and were seen. Such variety. There is no wasted space in this museum. Walls are adorned, such as a long wall with the ascending walkway going to the penguin exhibit made to look like a South Pole research center. Even every access door for employees are adorned. See my photos. Nice vegetation areas in otherwise unused space. They put a nice climbing gym in what would have been an unused corner, great for parents who need a break and kids to dissipate energy. There are thoughtful benches placed here and there for a sit down rest. There is a very nice small cafe and snack bar to get a yummy huge pretzel, or hamburger and other sandwiches and salads. Looking at the prices, they are very reasonable for a museum/theme park. You are getting a great value for the buck. Whether you are buying for just the day or a membership, I think that you are getting your money's worth. We spent four hours there and didn't see everything, read everything, tried everything. The four hours went by fast. This is a very popular place for good reason--a jewel in the valley. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

I came here for an event tonight and the area around the claw is so amazing! There are several different animals around the garden area all lit up for Christmas and it so perfect to stroll through. While we didn't get to see any aquatic life on the tank at the Mountain American Event center, it looks like they were still setting things up to add some animals in soon. The facility itself was very spacious with a sound system that covers the whole room. Can't wait to come back once everything is in place!

I have been to two receptions at this venue and it was…read moreadequate although corners were cut with cheap chairs and a lot of people crammed into a small space. The reason for the review is that friends of mine received a communication from Castle Park informing them that they are still obligated to pay for the space in May 2020 even though we are in a worldwide pandemic. There is still no change in their stance 3 weeks later. I have included the letter to my friends. Read it and feel the outrage. Where is the good faith and humanity for this business? There were no other options offered. The date is cemented for them and payment for no services is expected. The circumstances are completely out of the clients' control. This is bad business. We self catered so I cannot speak to their all inclusive package, but they were very clear with their various packages and individual add-on options. As we moved through the process from original booking to event, we had to make a few changes along the way. I found the venue to be responsive. Eric always got back to me within 24-48 hours with clear answers to my questions. On the day of the event everything was ready for us and went smoothly. The change over from ceremony to reception went well. When we had needs or questions, we followed their prescribed policy with our day of event coordinator (provided by us) and Castle Park immediately met our needs and answered our questions. I would not hesitate to use them again.
