And then I happened to be in the Green Hills vicinity with a package to mail. I knew there was a UPS store on Hillsboro Pike near the mall, so I gave them a try. Oh my goodness, what a tremendous difference between them and everyone else in the business!! I walked in expecting the same disappointment that I've experienced so many times with FedEx and the U.S. Postal Service. There were two customers being helped by two employees. I didn't have much tome, and this could take forever because there will inevitably be an issue with BOTH customers that takes 20 minutes to resolve. That's how it's always been in my experience. Suddenly, as I approached the counter, a third employee emerged and happily took care of me at her register. But surely there will be some sort of issue with my package, or a delay, or a poorly trained employee that turns a simple package drop off into some sort of saga, right? No!! Absolutely no saga!! She had my package checked in and was handing me a receipt in 30 seconds. It was literally 30 seconds from the start to the finish of the transaction!! I was stunned!
