When we first met with Dr Springer I had brought over frozen embryos from my previous clinic. He looked at them, told me they were not good quality and would not recommend transferring them. My husband and I were both there and said we would like to dispose of these embryos and move forward with a fresh cycle with him, which we did. 3 YEARS later I received a call that they had done an inventory of their lab and "found" that I still had my frozen embryos there and what would I like to do with them. I spoke personally with Dr Springer on the phone again and he again told me that they were not good quality and I said OK then we want to dispose of them. After this, I received a $600 bill for embryo storage! I was then told that it was because we never signed the disposal form. OK well we did not know anything about this, so my husband and I went in before work one morning, were told this fee would be written off and we signed the disposal consent. Taken care of, right? NO. A month ago, in 2018 I received a bill from COLLECTIONS for an amount now over $700 from his office. I called their office, no one was available, left a message. Two weeks go by no call back. I called again, spoke with someone in billing who did not know what to tell me, so I received a message from Michelle Springer to call her cell phone. I called her back and left a message. Never heard back. I ended up just paying it as I cannot afford to have my credit ruined.

She put it on another account but did fix it as soon as I called and proved the check number. There is one more bill tho they've been trying to collect on me for that I know I paid and I proved to the lawyer. I haven't heard anything more on it so I'm praying it's been cleared up. But out of everything that's the only mistake that's ever been made. Unfortunately he won't take my current Insurance so I had no choice but to seek a new dr. Breaks my heart. But my insurance now covers my treatments in full at other locations. My want for baby #2 is much larger than the love for this dr. However this dr is the best you can have if you don't have to worry about who your insurance covers.

I was uncomfortable during the procedure as it was my first. Male doctors in general seem to not understand female pain despite the fact that they have a degree in medicine. No one understands a female like another female. That was my last appointment and I'm going to a hospital gynecologist who is a female. Dr. Bicalho is all of that. She's also very respectful of cultural/personal beliefs, and tries to advise/care for you respecting what you want your experience to be as much as she can. I read negative reviews about her bedside manner, that was most definitely not my experience, not even once, not even for 2 seconds. She has always been extremely nice and caring, as has been her entire staff. Whenever I had a question, needed a referral, I always received a call back in a timely manner. I am not planning to have any more children, but I will definitely stick around as a patient for gynecological care.

These were very wealthy, well-educated people who researched for a living and who chose only the best. That's #1. #2: my personal experience, and I am very picky as I also have a medical background and I know what goes on "behind the scenes", was that Dr. Ullman was knowledgable, prudent, extremely professional, kind and sympathetic. I felt respected in his office. After my exam, he would ask me to get dressed and meet him in his office, where he spoke to me like I was an intelligent human being deserving of respect, and not just another "piece of work" to dispense with as quickly as possible (other MDs quickly fly through the bare minimum they feel they must say to keep from being sued, while you are perched and freezing on the end of the table in your paper gown. And then of course they rush from the room, not to be seen again in the event you have thought of a follow-up question.) I had a serious case of fibroids, and at that time the only solution available was surgery. I opted for a myomectomy (just removing the fibroids, not a hysterectomy) and Dr. Ullman did a great job. He came to see me in the hospital every day, walked right in and truly paid attention to how I was progressing, as opposed to most who look in the door so they can write a note in the chart and be paid. Once again, he was very professional, and treated me the way he would treat a family member. I truly believe that the woman who wrote the 1 star review is mistaken as to which Dr. she saw. The description of her experience is just impossible to believe for anyone who has been a patient of Dr. Ullman's, as the other 5 star reviews attest to, and also the nearly 5 star reviews on healthgrades (I believe is the name of the other site). And please bear in mind: ob-gyn MDs are subjected to profound and impossible-to-schedule emergencies. Wouldn't you like to be a priority if your baby's life were at stake?

Whelp, they couldn't squeeze me in and made a new appointment for 9 months away. I sent a Mychart message telling him my problem and can he give me something until my appointment comes. No response at all. I sent a 2nd message and again, zero response. I tried one more time, a nurse responded. Said she would ask him and get back to me. No response. I should have quit him then but still liked him so I stayed. Now, today, I have a simple yes/no question since my scheduled (and soon to be canceled) appointment is still 6 months away. Messaged the office 3 weeks ago. Got an immediate response from the nurse... she will ask him and let me know. No response. A week later asked again. Again got the same response from the nurse and again, no response since. I am so very disappointed, he used to be top notch, now I tell every woman I know to see any doctor other than MacDuff. His bedside manner could not be improved upon, he answers all questions, takes as much time as you need, explains things in detail, and sets your mind at ease. Our visits with him feel as safe and loving as getting advice from your (mine, not yours) father. Crossing my fingers (and legs) that our baby is born the day Dr. MacDuff is the obstetrician on call at the hospital!
