My 4 yr old loves all the teachers. When I see her worksheets and things she brings home, it's not just scribbles like at the last kids Kare. Staff answers my questions and concerns which really helps me feel relieved in leaving my children in their care. I asked about their daily routines & what they do daily & I was given schedules, was shown examples of same age school subjects/activities done. And last, my girls do not come home overly dirty.

She complained about lack of communication with some parents, California daycare standards, the mosquitos in the backyard etc. as a person coming in to look for a new daycare that wasn't an impressive first impression. No Mother's Day celebration no Cinco de Mayo celebration no holiday celebrations or birthday goodies even if it's from the store. If the reason for no birthday goodies is the sugar and the dyes then I'm confused as to why they serve chips and gold fish and other snacks like that. But because I work a full time job the hours of this preschool is extremely convenient. The teachers are caring and loving, my daughter loves them. One time I walked in the classroom thon pick up my daughter and she was alone with a male teacher, I wasn't even aware of this. Wasn't made aware of a new teacher much less that my daughter will be alone with him at times in the evenings. I had an issue with one teacher, my daughter told me she grabbed her hand really tight and squeezed it. I immediately let the school site director know. Not too sure what happened besides a meeting because that teacher is still there. And I wasn't the only parent that complained about her for the same reason. Just recently my daughter told me her classroom was hot for a lot of days, and I couldn't understand if she said she had to sleep on the floor or had to sleep in room four because it was too hot. No teacher ever informed of this and school site director never informed me of this either, doesn't come to a surprise since the bathroom by my daughters class had been leaking for weeks maybe longer. My daughter even told me that a little girls slipped and bumped her head, I brought up to one of the assistants attention and nothing wasn't fixed at all. This year was supposed to a fun and exciting last year for my daughter and us as she was expected to graduate or promote from preschool wearing a cap and gown like they have all other previous years for I don't even know how long. But last minute the decision was changed, 3 weeks ago 5/31. They will not be wearing a cap and gown no ceremony like they've done previously. The main director in Carlsbad know every parent is upset, I have called multiple times to receive an explanation, so she can hear me out and allow them to wear cap and gowns. But she is extremely rude over the phone, no manners. Hard to believe she's in the position she's in talking to parents that way she does. How is the voices of parents of the students they teach not important! Another of the directors said that we couldn't afford a cap and gown that we are low income families. I do not recommend this preschool if you feel that your opinion and voice as parent is important. If you feel that you need to be aware and update of any and all changes of your child's preschool.

I have two toddlers that go to Fairmont and they love it there. They wake up every morning and ask…read moreif it is a "school day." When we walk into the school the director greets us every morning and genuinely checks on the children. Once we walk through the main entry, there is a wide open green field and 3 play grounds in sight. It is always a breath of fresh air and every thing I ever dreamed of for my children. I really enjoy that walk to class and every morning we pass through the preschool garden and check on the preschool chickens. The classes are small with two wonderful teachers assigned to each class. These are trauma informed educators that took the time to understand and work with one of my babies that just needed a little bit of compassion and understanding. Any obstacles we have faced have been handled with love and problem solving. Any parent that has experienced the heartbreak of loving a child that just needs grace, will understand how thankful I am to have found Fairmont and all the educators there.

We are so impressed with the IB curriculum. Our son has a lot of energy and requires lots of differentiation and Fairmont has always exceeded our expectations. They are great with communication and the Fairmont campus is just a happy place to be. Every morning our son asks if it is a preschool day and his language abilities have grown so much since enrolling 6 months ago. We can't wait to enroll our toddler too. I would especially like to commend Lydia, Ashlyn, Ms. Sierra and Ms. Harpreet for always going above and beyond for us. I am grateful everyday for getting out of that town and that my children do not attend John Adams Elementary. They attend a school where there is a no bulling policy. Many of the teachers scream and yell at the children in class and completely overreact to the littlest thing. I can't understand why these teachers don't go find another job if they don't like what they do. Oh wait, it's probably because they have Zero accountability at this school. I hate that this is the school my nephews attend. It's much different than when I attended Lincoln years ago. Granted there probably are some great teachers there too, but the bad ones will ruin the reputation of the entire school. Maybe the good teachers should report all the screaming and yelling that comes from the other teachers classrooms to the principal so she can send them to training or something.
