I put some feelers out and got a lot of great recommendations. After making some phone calls, one last recommendation came in, and it was for Championship City. I decided to make the call, and within one ring, Derek answered the phone. I could tell he was mid-job somewhere, but he took the time to listen to what was going on and let me know he could be there around 3. Just about 20 minutes later, I get a call that his next appointment cancelled, so he could be there in about 20 minutes if that worked for me. WOW. Thankfully i was able to meet him at the new time. He was very professional and got right to work. He showed me the issue and let me know how he was going to fix it. He was clean, professional, and quick! The last time this particular issue happened (six years ago), the company's representative tried to push me into buying a new unit right away. Derek was honest and said there is still some life left in this old unit. I plan to touch base with them again for an estimate in a few months when I'm ready to really think about replacement units. The dog days of summer are here, Champion City AC will be the cool breeze you need! UPDATE -- Just over a week later, my 22 year old unit spun its fan one last time. Derek was able to work me in quickly and told me it was time to move on... He quoted me for a whole new system, and I was floored as for the price they told me, I had friends who paid almost double for the same. Just about 15 hours later, he was there to install both indoor and outdoor pieces. We unfortunately had an issue where one of our units was busted all throughout the summer heat and we couldn't afford to purchase a new one...
