Versus places where some of the waitstaff are "so attentive" they're announcing EVERY arrival to the table, asking how everything is every two minutes? And you spend more time and effort attending to THEIR "service" versus why you came to the restaurant; to enjoy the LIVING of life? Post new management, and more specifically post pandemic, Saby Dental has shifted from warm personal interactions & the cheeky "marketing" of a warm cookie after each appointment to incessant reminder emails, texts, & calls, repeated requests for a review, and recommending seemingly excessive visits. (No dental problems, decreased build up, yet recommending I come in for cleanings 4 times a year!) I get that everyone runs their business differently, and even that some customers will appreciate these methods. To me, it feels more like I have to manage their way of doing business rather than them coming alongside me, living life. I manage my side of the fence by accommodating my anxieties and sensory challenges of going to the dentist. Now, I also need to manage Saby Dental within & beyond the four walls of their business, since they don't seem to consider how they impose on clients. It's more labour than I'm willing to put in for a business. No, I will not be your outsourced marketing team of 1, by writing you a review after every visit. No, you can no longer reach me by phone, text, or email. You lost that ability, when you didn't respect multiple requests to interact on my terms. I don't want to manage your incessant "give us more business" methods dressed up as "friendly reminders". (The cheeky warm cookie was far more effective.) I want to be respected as a responsible adult, not infantalized or prodded to do your labour (Even considering to engage or ignore is unsolicited labour I didn't consent to). I don't want to manage your doubling down, when you slip past my blocks via new email addresses and phone numbers. (When I haven't been back for a few years!) I don't want to recognize or feel like I'm being funneled into and down your business practices pipeline before, during, and after an appointment. Just see clients as fully human instead of business model pawns. I've communicated directly (multiple interactions) & indirectly (blocking, withdrawing business). It's still not enough. So, let's try this. I'll use a language that might have more significance to Saby Dental, and leave a negative review. I not only gave them 5*, back in the day, I told everyone, friend/stranger, how amazing Saby Dental was at every level of care and service. Now, I tell no one. Saby Dental was my dentist for roughly 20 years. While I've received quality cleanings & checks under Dr. Sandhu's management, I feel more like I'm serving Saby Dental than Saby Dental is serving me. Increasing my visits for no reason? Increasing all communications in frequency, type, & method? Requiring more forms of labour from me to manage your choices? Shifting from 'fellow human' to 'another number' mentality? I'm moving on. Particularly, when going to the dentist already requires a lot of self-care, self-management, & personal accommodations, I don't manage what isn't mine.

Not only was my case very complex and time consuming, he only has ever shown patience, understanding, and preformed meticulous work. He was also able to see me quickly when I was having pain and made sure I left comfortable. He is extremely kind and has taken all of my numerous issues seriously. His dental assistant and Hygienist are hands down the most amazing ladies I have ever met in my life. The receptionist has been extremely kind and patient with my numerous appointments as well. For the first time in 20 years I am not embarrassed to smile with my teeth showing. Amazing clinic and amazing staff!

Takes time, takes care, great chair side manner and genuinely loves his job. I've almost fell asleep at the chair. I've been there three times. I'm a coating inspector by profession and while at bare minimum - fillings are like a coating. He takes time to prepare the tooth to ensure the "coating" sticks which is most important to ensure long lasting integrity. Aside from that, has great knowledge of the mouth. My freezing was starting to come out (inflamed tooth) he knew exactly what to not touch and still gave a perfect filling with limited pain. Literally took hours out of his day to ensure he did a proper, above bar job. COVID-19: office is very clean and professional. Top notch protocols. PS. Staff and prices are perfect. I randomly came across this place because I drink at Chillabongs down the row and couldn't think of a better clinic honestly, I also am mostly suspicius of dentists because time says 80% are horrible from my experience, however, Dr. Moore is highly recommended from an experienced row of Swiss cheese chiclets. When I reminded them that I had stated not to proceed with any treatment that wasn't fully covered, staff member Liliana said that I hadn't said anything that day and accused me of "playing a blame game." I don't appreciate being spoken to this way. I submitted a complaint and the reply from the Accounts Receivable Coordinator conveniently ignored that I had stated not to proceed with any treatment that wasn't fully covered, didn't even mention how I had been treated the previous day, and offered to submit a predetermination before moving forward in the future. There was no comment at all about why a predetermination hadn't been done the day before when I had stated nothing was to be done that wasn't fully covered- the email was focused on "clarifying how your coverage works" and absolutely ignored addressing what had already happened. Update: The Accounts Receivable Coordinator has now replied and stated they will be endeavoring to blameshift the situation ("we will be speaking with our administrative team as well to hear their account of the interaction and how they felt they were treated"). I told them since that was what they wanted to do instead of adequately address the matter, it was fortunate I had a witness with me that day and the matter could now be addressed through the courts.

Due to a problem with another Dentist, I just gave up. I still had to do something about the teeth so after checking around, I found Southpointe Dental. My teeth had to be surgically removed. I had Dr. Aul, he did a really good job without causing undue pain and bone breakage. The staff that helped me were just great.

When I first called 52nd Street Dental Clinic and relayed our story they promised a good experience for my kids. When we arrived to our first appointment, we were greeted by name and were introduced to everyone there. Everyone was so kind. Once my kids were in the chair, the dentist explained everything he was going to do, before he did it. He showed them all the tools, how they worked and told them what they did. The dentist asked my children if it was okay before performing any procedures. He not only put them at ease but made them feel like they were in charge of the appointment. My children left their seats smiling rather than crying for the first time in years. Furthermore, when I got to the front desk, they presented us with a gift of an electrical toothbrush! As far as billing goes, they direct bill your insurance company before sending you an invoice. This clinic gets both my vote and my business!

I have had to take medications pre-dental appointment to calm my anxiety and stopped that strategy after one incident when I found out I actually drove a car and went to work while under the influence of tranquilizers. I went to one dental clinic in Lacombe, and that was just another sorry episode that only confirmed my fears about dentists. Until my daughter-in-law and son took their family to Aurora. I was so fortunate that my first experience was with Dr. Lowry. The whole clinic, receptionists, assistants and Dr. Lowry, were consistently reassuring me, and comforting me in the first visit - and that was only an examination. My second visit involved two difficult extractions - I felt barely a pinch and the experience was almost cathartic, in terms of my almost lifelong fear of dentists. I just finished my third visit, another extraction - of an infected molar - again.... nothing but reassurance and comfort.
