I have visited Spar Water Park many times. Be early... There is always a long line if you are not…read moreearly, especially on the weekends. Oh, the security team check bags at entry for weapons and food. Guests are not allowed to bring any food or drinks inside the pool area. If you want to dine inside the pool area. There are two food huts. Fun fact the food huts serve two menus. The kiddos favorite is the large pizza. If you order a large pizza, it is from little Caesars. If you order by the slice, it is not the little Caesars brand. Every time I enjoy the hotdog over their hamburger. If we get to hot the Italian Ice pops always are refreshing. Some people take an alfresco lunch at their vehicle. You can leave an ice chest in the car for a cheaper alternative under the trees. This location has grown every year I visit. The raft water slides are my favorite. It really is a blast. The kids that are not tall enough to ride have many alternatives. There are many play areas with a water play land kid tiki hut. Free life jackets are available. Everyone in our party enjoys time in the two lazy rivers. You can reserve a cabana to hide from the sun. The staff and lifeguards are the finest and kindhearted people. I cannot wait till the next visit. All I can say is why wait? I encourage you to look at my photos.

    Lake Area Pools - patch

    Lake Area Pools

Sorry for the long read, but if you are going to spend alot of money on a pool, PLEASE READ THIS. I…read morewould recommend that everything you want to be in writing. We were told our pool would be a 1 week job. Now 1 month later its still incomplete. Ill try to capture the issues to this point. After the pool was installed in the ground, we found a crack in the lip of it. Im sure this was not Lake Areas issue, but that did delay the job for several days awaiting the repair. Before the pool was put in, we were asked what elevation we wanted it. We told Marty LeBlanc to give a 4 inch step down to help prevent water from running onto our patio. They also said they would install a deck drain to move water off of the pool area. We were not told of this during our consultation with the salesperson. After the concrete forms were erected, it was discovered that the Marty had not buried the pool at the proper depth resulting in the pool being too high. So, we had to settle for no step down. In hindsight I should have made them pull the pool and do it right. They realize that they need more material and leave and not return for the day. Laborer returns with material (which I have) and his tool breaks. My wife tells him he can borrow mine, no he leaves. Now the concrete is being poured, and they run out of concrete. It takes 2 hours to get 1 yard of concrete which when poured causes a cold joint. This cold joint now looks like someone filled a pothole on a dirt road. Its so bad! Martys remedy was to paint the patch. Its not as visible, but still very different than the surrounding concrete. I dont think I have ever seen a concrete contractor come up short. They always order extra, then dispose of the waste. Also 3 spots, one of which is 3'x4', are a different color than surrounding area. So to date there is no resolution. Onto the dirt work. Now I'll say this to save someone the trouble. If the contractor doesn't come look at your specific install before work begins, you may spend thousands extra for dirt. Our case in point. The salesperson doesn't understand the job. They just sell. When the pool arrived, the contractor told us we'd have to have more dirt. Kind of a shock because of what you pay for this. So we bought dirt and told Marty what we wanted, he said no problem. When the laborer spread the dirt, he piled it above the concrete edge so if it rained all water and dirt would have flowed into the pool. It was at a level that if grass were to grow it would be above the concrete. I had to use my tractor to pull the dirt back to prevent this. So needless to say, dirt work is not complete. Also forgot to mention that they had to borrow my fuel cans, on several days, for the equipment because they forgot theirs. The inefficiency is unbelievable with this company. They also tell you just enough to try to keep you happy. The main owner Ben only shows up to get the check, then you never see or hear from him again. Even with all the issues, we still have no other interaction with him. He got paid, so I guess he's done. We still haven't been shown how to clean, operate, or maintain the pool.
