Longtime Browser (... I mean Shopper)…read more Real Quick: + Designer-brand Big & Tall Sizes that guys can't find anywhere else + Store is (almost) always organized, neat & clean + Friendly staff always willing to help + They are EXPENSIVE (for my budget) More Detail: I've been visiting this store for a long, long time. In fact, I remember when it used to be a Repp B&T & a Casual Male. When DXL took over, it got CRAZY EXPENSIVE -at least more than I want to pay for clothes. I remember once they had a selection of pocket squares for close to $100 each! (Just the hankie. No tie included!) Well, now a big guy can finally find a nice selection of designer labels (Polo Ralph Lauren, Nautica, Vineyard Vines, True Religion, etc). I've seen sizes 6X and size 60+. Personally, I can shop for my size in many department stores at much lower prices (albeit the selection is very poor elsewhere.) Clearance Back Corner: Yes, I'm the guy who starts in the back of the store and first looks for any bargains first. For the past few years, their clearance corner is pretty meager. The selection is slim and most items are only 25% off the sticker price. YUCK! Merchandise: The products are high-quality. I still wear sportcoats, slacks, jeans, etc. I purchased from DXL many years ago! Coupons: I no longer get any discounts that "wow" me or compel me to visit. Most coupons require that I spend at least $100! I did receive a birthday coupon -if I spend $50. (Thanks DXL) People: The people are always nice and willing to help. I've seen many come & go over the years, but Katrina is still there and always greets me with a warm welcome. Store: The store's appearance lives up to its reputation. It is always clean and well organized. It even smells real nice! I won't knock-off a star simply because their prices are more than I'm willing to pay. I do recommend it for the big & tall guy!

We walk in, maybe 1 other customer yet maybe 5 workers if my count is correct. One lady advised of the 40% sale area and then vanished. Me, walking around with an item to try on, passed at least the 5 ladies I counted, never asked "would you like a dressing room, is there anything I can help you ladies with?". Expected proper customer service for the price point. One may ask, "did you ask for a fitting room"?", nope I sure did not. I've worked in CS before and it's your "job" to ensure EVERYONE that walks through that door is treated kind, with respect AND as a valued customer hoping they'd be become a repeat customer. With so many stores closing, people losing jobs and the store almost empty, they should have wanted that additional purchase to close their quota or go beyond for the night. Whether the people in store knows it or not, this economy is very fragile to offer this level of service. I'll end with this, I will/would never step foot in this/that store again or purchase online and/or recommend this store to anyone. Such a disappointment for a 1st time visitor, notice I didn't say "customer".

I love the clothes and I love the service. I have never had a problem with anyone at this store. Just a note, if you order online and need to take it back for a refund or credit, take your box back too, they reuse them. Just the best experience from buying to having to return a product.

I've been to my share of BR's and this one's staff is truly top notch. They carry themselves with such class and are SO helpful. You would think, you were in a high-end boutique, not a chain store that you can find in a mall. After stopping in this location several times, I can confidently state that the staff do not wait for you to ask them for help. The absent-minded teen is not employed here. I have never seen a staff member using a personal cell phone or displaying similar unprofessional behaviors. I like the clothes at BR a lot. I love how attentive and professional the salespeople are. For example, they will start a dressing room so you're not lugging your potential purchases through the store. However, they are not intrusive or overly chatty. They were also really good about bringing other sizes to the dressing room and checking other stores for desired items. This shopping experience is well-suited for busy men and women who do not want to be slowed down by inept cashiers and the like.

I'm glad that there remains a decent brick-and-mortar purveyor of men's clothing and accessories within the Mid-South. (On-line shopping is a very poor substitute for physically examining products and trying on clothing.) All in all, I have no complaints about the quality of service from the employees. Plus, the seasonal sales here can really save the attentive consumer some serious coin. I recommend this store, I plan to continue patronizing it.

This is the closest location to my home and I stop by pretty regularly for gifts and my own personal shopping experiences. I have always found the associates quite helpful in every area I visit. I am probably in the men's dress clothes and scents areas the most often. I do tag along with the bride a good bit as well. She probably likes it here more than me so I get to see all the lady stuff too. She is especially fond of the purse section I have noticed. As far as scents are concerned, there is significant savings if you buy online, but you can't smell them online. I find success in asking the ladies for the "best smelling, least popular scents". I don't want to smell like everybody else. LOL. '24 - 22/100

Y'all...the boots that I picked up from Torrid tonight are AMAZING! I cannot wait to style them!…read more Torrid is the place to go for unique, fun, trendy, and good quality plus size clothing. They always have a great selection/stock and you can always find a sale going on. They have items for work and play. I have shopped at this place for years now and I have never regretted a purchase. The staff is always helpful and friendly. As an extended service, they will even help you style an item. When I wear my boots I am going to post them here on Yelp, so be on the lookout!

I think the first thing that struck me was that the deals here were better (read cheaper!!) than the Collierville Torrid store, as this store had an amazing buy one, get one free for clearance items whereas as Collierville store had buy one, get one 50% for clearance rack items. So with that kind of a discount, not only did my friend purchase 4 dresses for the price of 2, I ended up making out like a bandit too and purchased some clothes I had previously been on the fence about - but when its a BOGOF offer, that's an easy decision to make! Both our bills were right around the $100 mark (hey Torrid isn't cheap!!) but at $25 for 4 dresses, we both felt we got a great bargain! Also, just like at the Collierville store, the staff here were also so sweet and lovely!! The only downside is this store location is just too far away for me to be drop by more frequently, but that's probably a good thing for my wallet! Yelp Review 124/ 2017

I just left the store to pick up an order and while I know they have to pitch the sales and the credit card, the short white lady with red hair aggressively pitched her credit card promo and after I politely said no for the fifth time, she asked me was I worried about not being approved... Ma'am. Lady. Excuse me? I had my daughter with me so I didn't show out like I wanted to because I'm trying to be a good role model for her but I thought that was really rude. I do not understand why she felt I needed to explain myself to her any further than no. I'm not worried about anything except unnecessary spending... I don't want their credit card. Period.
