Linhl customer service was stellar, she recommended to use an extra layer of a polish that will make my nail polish stronger. I received a gift certificate for the Almond Nail Bar, Polo Park location. When I contacted them to book an appointment, I was advised they weren't going to accept it as the franchise was under New Management. After discussions with the Manager she advised it would need to be cleared by head office. This issue was resolved, they accepted the certificate. At the appointment, I requested a French polish and was told by the manicurist she didn't have the time for my request. When it became time to pay the cashier advised we don't accept certificates. Thankfully I saved the conversations to my phone about the certificate being honored by the head office after 20 minutes she decided to accept it. There was $48.40 left on the certificate to which I gave to a friend. I had no intentions of ever returning as the service was so disappointing. Unfortunately, she went through almost the same experience...no time to do a French polish, when it came time to pay, they refused to accept the gift certificate even though they could see the original amount of $163.00 was crossed off and listed the $48.40 remaining, the cashier stated a code was required?? For a paper gift certificate?? What is even more disappointing, her service cost $90 and the very next day two of the nails came off. read more

went to the new plessis location. went in and asked for GEL nails and was given "almond press ons". i was under the impression i was getting gels. i've never had gels before so i didn't know i was being lied to. i was then charged for gel nails which are more expensive that the press ons. only for one to snap in half a week later. i deciced to give them another chance, so i went back. i got the press ons removed and asked for a REGULAR manicure. (i think they call it magic polish or something) i was again told it was regular polish, and then she gave me shellac and charged me for shellac. and even then the manicure was chipping off within a day. will never go back. don't recommend read more

Probably the worst set of gel nails I've ever had done. Had the "almond dip" and left the place with wonky, bumpy, uneven, and unsymmetrical nails. You can see how misshapen they are in the photos I've attached. The woman doing my nails was blunt and rude, and the only time she engaged with me beyond asking what I wanted done was when she pointed out and asked questions about surgical scars I have on my arms. Overall I had a very uncomfortable and incredibly disappointing experience. It's a waste of money if you ask me. Will not be returning! read more

My mother had an appointment here today and was treated with absolute disrespect. Both her and I have a hereditary non contagious condition on where our feet are not where other people's are. Doctors have said it is NOT contagious. And yet the person doing her nails asked in front of everyone if she is on medication for her feet, and she has to take the polish she is using home, and next time has to bring her own polish. We are paying for a service not be insulted. I am never coming back and I will make sure what you did will be said. read more

Me and my friend scheduled a pedicure and when we got there they had us booked for manicures and made us wait 20 minutes even though we booked for 10:45 and got in at 11:05. Not only that the pedicure booth was broken. The girl my friend had, picked a totally different colour then she asked for and asked after the pedicure was done if she liked the colour. The polish on our toenails are streaky and bubbly. when they were punishing my feet they sliced my toe and now i have a gash in my toe. Very bad experience would not recommend. Too expensive for the service we got. read more

4-STARS!!! I'm a huge fan of Cristalla Nail Bar, Ninh does my nails and Keio does my laser treatments both women are extremely thorough and personable. You can try to walk in during the week and the receptionist will fit you in with who's available but it's definitely safer to schedule an appointment! Pros: The manager Tom is pretty easy to talk to and will help you get whatever you need, very accommodating. The entire staff from reception to back room is super friendly. Great for a relaxing day of getting pretty or a quick in and out manicure still done to perfection. Cons: Relatively small space but open concept and great scheduling so it never gets too crowded, with only 3 private areas- one for wax, one for laser and one for facials/massage. A little pricey, but they only use the best products and techniques and are incredibly clean so it's worth it... read more

Had booked an appointment for a pedicure at 4:30. We showed up on time did not get in until 10 to 5. No apology for being late We had booked together but they split my girlfriend and I up. When we finally got in I sat for 10 minutes with no one coming to start the pedicure. I finally got up and walked out. The woman at the counter said they got behind. A bit late to offer that info. When my girlfriend was done they offered her An insulting 15 percent discount. Absolutely terrible service, we will never be back. read more

If I was rating the place for friendliness and being able to to make efficient appointments on time I'd give it 5/5. For cost wise and the amount it took to get a mani and pedi? 1/5 forsure. They charge more than most places and do way less. It also took two hours which was ridiculous. My paint job wasn't great. Looks like something i could've done and that's not saying much. Idk. It was nothing special don't cheat on your existing nail salon to go here! read more

I went to almond nail bar for the first time today and had a horrible experience. I received a pedicure from Larysa and she did an awful job. She was rude to me from the moment I got there. When I tried to ask her questions she was short and dismissive. She made me feel very unwelcome. The only thing worse than her customer service was the pedicure she gave me. She hardly cleaned up my cuticles and she cut my toe nails short and crooked. I am so disappointed. It was a waste of 55$. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will never be returning read more

Went to the Almond Nail Bar for the first time today for a pedicure. It was clean, tools were sealed in a plastic bag. The basin was not covered with a plastic cover as I've seen at other places and I wasn't there to see how well it was cleaned prior to my appointment, hopefully it was well cleaned and sanitized. I was a returning customer who decided to purchase treatments more costly & personal than my usual nail care. Yes, nice looking place, fun nail work but at my expense a look beyond that service proved this place isn't worth it. Staff talking about other staff, gossiping about clients, expecting tips greater than 20% after doing work of little value. I used to love getting my nails done here until I realized they bitch & laugh about most customers to the next dollar sign in that same seat. Oh & the owner... good luck getting him to follow through on fixing the problem. FYI he's posted on here (Nihn T) saying good things about his shop. Laughable! read more

The staffs other than one who did my nails are friendly. The reason I mentioned other than this one is because she tried to put acrylic nails to my nails while I booked for Gel nails full set. So be careful as they might add acrylic nails when you book for Gel nails. Both are different!! Gel nails cost more but better (for my personally preference) and she have little attitude but in her condition, I will dismiss this attitude. She did excellent on my nails. Just watch out for "switch" nails when you specifically asked for. Otherwise, this salon is very clean, and odorless compared to other nail salons. God.. She suggested few colours that I ended up liking it. After I showed her the specific designs. She did good, and could have done little more but it is great anyway. What impressed me is that she did well with cuticles! Now I have to wait for one week or so, to see how long those nails last. read more

As a frequent client of laser hair removal at Cristella's I've seen (T) and (K). I've purchased many laser treatments and have completed many with (K). All of the times I've gone in for treatments they've been effective, thorough and painless. After seeing (K) for over 2 years and completing many treatments I was disappointed with her replacement (G). Her sessions are rushed and incomplete and I will not be returning or recommending anyone anytime soon. read more
