DO NOT MOVE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE…read more I have been in elder care for 14 years both as a sought-after professional and as the daughter caring for her beloved Mom and Dad through their late 80's and 90's. I moved my 98 year old Mom to memory care at Oakmont of El Dorado Hills 11/4/24 after 10 Years at a wonderful Memory Care unit in the Bay Area. This was a mistake. I literally could not move her out of Oakmont fast enough to avoid sleepless nights worrying about neglect in my absence, and potential for injury by untrained caregivers with no knowledge of safe transfers, and very little heart. There are a handful of excellent caregivers and med techs. they are eclipsed by bitter caregivers who I have witnessed first hand speaking abusively, with anger at a resident--my mom's dying room mate. I watched (and raised the issue) as this poor woman (room mate) was left with out being checked on regularly, was left unchanged in her own urine until the smell filled the room and the hallway, and i was ignored when I ran to tell staff she was rolling out of bed and going to fall. There was no urgency in response. There were, however, excuses. I have been in care long enough to know there is NO EXCUSE for neglect and abuse. Anyone knows that. I was able to get Mom out after 21 days to a new facility. Which was an immense relief. The staff at the new facility is kind and loving. They are happy humans, not sullen care staff who resent family presence, as was the case at Oakmont. Oakmont needs to be evaluated by the licensing board. The management is incapable of managing, in general, with some shining exceptions. Christina, the Health Services Director is exemplary. This review was hard to write as the memory is brought with sadness so a year has passed but, unless some dramatic changes have taken place, avoid Oakmont.

I wanted to leave a review as I see there haven't been many recently…read more My dad with severe dementia and Parkinson's was part of the All Seasons community for just under 3 months. I can't say enough good things about All Seasons. First I will start with Toly the owner . From the time I reached out, he was attentive, communicative and kind. He spent so much time with me, easing my fears and worries that we would find the right place for my dad. He kept me updated all along the way with the waiting process. And he gave me such good advice during the time we were waiting for a spot to open up for my dad. I will never forget the kindness and compassion and dignity he showed our family along the entire process. Second, Lauren, the house manager at the home my dad was in. From day one, she came alongside my dad-really wanting to know him, to understand him, and to help him thrive during his time at All Seasons. Her care and love for dementia patients and their families is second to none. I was constantly amazed at not only her patience and kindness towards my dad (who was very difficult a lot of time) but also to us as his family who were trying to navigate the difficult behaviors and circumstances surrounding his disease. We will forever be indebted with gratitude that my dad had Lauren as his caregiver and advocate for the last part of his life. Also, Hector, Lilly, Melissa and so many more. All the caregiver at All Seasons seemed to be called to care for these special patients. My dad had previously been in a large memory care. For everyone there-it was a job and only that. Not at All Seasons. They hire only those who truly care about patients living with dementia. As a nurse of 28 years, I can whole heartedly recommend All Seasons for your loved one with dementia.

She always enjoyed spending time in her beautiful apartment and gardening and sitting out on her lovely porch with a view of nature and a gorgeous pond/nature reserve! She always enjoyed the food too. There are lots of fun activities and though she didn't often join those, the staff all still got to know her well and showed such care for her making her feel a part of the community. The other residents are lovely as well. Front desk, kitchen staff, servers, housekeeping, facilities, and management are all SO KIND. We lived close by and were there often and can attest to how well run and great a choice Creekside Oaks is! It's also very reasonably priced for Folsom. They've also renovated the apartments with new paint and flooring. Highly recommend! Also, COVID was handled well but as in most senior care places there was staff turnover from how stressful that was. Natalie (current Director) and her team have improved a rough patch that followed that matches the time of most negative reviews. It's back to being a great place!

It is clean and feels more like a nice hotel than a senior living facility. Beautifully decorated, nice rooms, light and bright and very comfortable to visit. There are two stories which gives you options of where to "hang out". If it is busy downstairs you can go upstairs and sit in a beautiful living room with cozy couches and a TV & fireplace. Or you can go in the theatre room which has nice recliners. Both are very quiet. When Dad moved in two years ago he didn't have much money. No savings or assets. They worked with us and adjusted the cost making it affordable for us. We were so grateful. Monique, the director has been good about communicating with us regarding anything Dad needs or if any issues come up. Medical emergencies were handled properly and immediately. My Dad was on hospice the past three weeks and passed two days ago. The caregivers were so attentive and helpful. Even in this difficult time of Covid they did everything possible to help our family spend time with him and supported us through this process. I checked out many facilities and can't believe we were lucky enough to be able to place Dad at the Chalet in Orangevale. Thank you Monique and staff for everything you have done to make our last couple of years with Dad special. Kirsten
