Jada has ruined me for anyone else. As someone who would always get a massage when they went on vacation, and always at a top spa in the country, I no longer do that because it is disappointing and it doesn't compare to the massages I get from Jaaspaa. I recommend all my friends and my mother comes to CT from NC just so she can get a massage from Jada. I would not hesitate to make the appointment, do it I guarantee it will be far beyond anything you have experienced. These are truly the best massages I have experienced, the quality and level of expertise you will get from Jada will leave you in awe.

I don't usually write reviews, but this one is 100% deserved…read more Coming from San Francisco, I've tried plenty of places that call themselves "therapeutic," but most of the time you leave feeling good for the day... and the underlying issue is still there. I was visiting family in Connecticut and had tweaked my back pretty badly. I booked with Sammi Therapeutic Massage hoping for some relief and was fully prepared to pay top dollar without expecting much beyond temporary comfort. What I got was completely different. This was not just a massage -- this was actual healing work. She took the time to understand where my pain was, explained what she was doing (because I asked), and truly got in there and worked through the problem. The pain I came in with? Gone. If I had more time in CT, I would've gone back again just to continue the work and honestly get better sleep. She clearly knows the body and her craft. It's a private, by-appointment setup with a single table, and every second of it was worth it. From the comfortable setup to how she incorporated hot stones and intuitively read exactly what my body needed -- it felt intentional and effective. I'm genuinely so glad I didn't end up at another "typical" therapeutic spot that just goes through the motions. I'm sure there are other good places out there, but I don't see myself trying them anytime soon -- I feel like I found my person. If you're looking for a massage that actually fixes your knots and pain (not just temporarily relaxes you), this is your spot. I'd honestly consider flying back once a month for this.

My daughter has some shoulder pain and came away from the massage experience saying that it was the best thing ever! I had read a review from someone who thought the experience was traumatizing and painful. I was a little worried but our experience was super. Yes, when she does a special deep tissue massage she hits painful spots, but I think the treatment was very helpful. Sammi is Chinese and I have had a yoga intstructor in China who did some of the same moves and made me wince from time to time. I highly recommend Sammi for a great massage!

To be clear, I felt unsafe, with my health at risk, and canceled my appointment and got my Groupon…read morerefunded before ever seeing Chris. I purchased a Groupon, booked an appointment 9 days away online as required with the Groupon. During booking, I listed some of my memory allergies in my issue that I've literally never been able to use massage therapist, lotion, or oils in the past because of allergies. I listed a bunch of the allergies, noting that there are many more. I've been directly called the business to express concern ans get them to send me the ingredients list. The therapist told me they would send me the list, but they would not be able to use mineral oil to rub my back because mineral oil doesn't work for massages. I've literally had massages at 15 different massage therapists throughout my adult life, and not a single one of them has had an issue, accommodating my allergies. Chris, however, told me, "my lotions are all natural so you shouldn't have an issue." They seem to not understand people can be allergic to natural things. They had told me they would send me the ingredient list the next day, but then made excuses that they were in classes and not in the office again. They also were trying to claim to use an AI office assistant, which actually just seemed to be Chris texting. They had thought they sent me a deal to use outside of group on the day before, then if you realize they made a mistake texting the wrong person but didn't want to admit it. Chris then had some weird excuse that the deal wasn't sent because I had not booked an appointment yet. However, the only way they got my contact info was from the booking the appointment. Chris kept repeating that he sent the text message yesterday before he had my contact info. How is that humanly possible to text someone when you don't have their number? They then sent another text message offer that expired over a month ago. I don't know about the quality of their massage skills, but the difficulty in communicating with this person was astronomical. And the fact that they seemingly disregard allergies because their lotions are "all natural" is deeply worrying. If you have any kind of allergies or skin sensitivities, I would deeply consider looking elsewhere for a massage.
