William worked closely with our USAA inspector and claims adjuster and in just 3 days from meeting with William- we had a fair settlement with insurance and roof was scheduled within 10 days. Great company and all the staff were very responsive.

Response to Rock City Roofing's Comment: Matt, Thank you again for your response to my review. I'd like to further clarify my concerns and expectations as a homeowner, as your responses continue to miss the core issue I've raised. However, with over 35 views on this post since your reply, it's clear that others reading the reviews have understood my point, even if your company has not. (a) Regarding scope of work and communication: When I initially discussed my project with your project manager, I specifically stated that I did not want to coordinate with multiple contractors to complete the work outlined in my estimate. I was assured by YOUR representative that your company could and would handle all aspects of the project, eliminating the need for me to seek out additional contractors. This assurance played a key role in my decision to move forward with your company. The project manager hired by Rock City assured me that your company could and would handle all aspects of the insurance estimate. This directly contradicts your claim that replacing my fascia was not part of our original agreement and confirms that it was well within your scope of work. (b) Authorization to handle insurance and mortgage claims: The contract I signed with Rock City explicitly grants your company authorization to contact the insurance and mortgage companies on my behalf, supplying any necessary documentation or correspondence to facilitate payment. This provision was clearly outlined in the attached agreement, and it is my understanding that fulfilling these obligations is part of the service your company agreed to provide. As a homeowner, it is not my responsibility to handle correspondence or provide updates to these entities--especially when they are specifically requesting documentation from you, the contractor, regarding coding updates and prior authorizations before the job begins. While I can contact the insurance company to inquire about payment timelines, the detailed documentation they require to process that payment must come directly from your company, not me. (c) Expectations vs. performance: If your claim now is that your company solely focuses on roofing work, this should have been made clear before accepting my payment and committing to the ENTIRE project. Transparency about your scope of work would have allowed me to make an informed decision and avoided this situation entirely. Additionally, the unprofessional behavior--including the attempts to persuade my husband to have me remove my review--was inappropriate and still did not address the core issue of miscommunication and unmet expectations. To clarify further, from May to November, I was repeatedly assured by your pr oject manager that my satisfaction was a top priority and that the issues I raised would be resolved. Despite these assurances, nothing was addressed. As a result, I ultimately hired another company to complete the fascia work. Interestingly, this company, which is also one of your competitors and a roofing company, confirmed that such work falls within their scope and put me on their schedule to complete the work. This demonstrates that my expectations of Rock City were not unreasonable. You happened to return to fix our fascia issue just before our scheduled appointment with the other company, which, incidentally, was $100 cheaper. From what was conveyed to my husband, the job would have been done free of charge if I removed my review. However, as I told him, it should have been free regardless, considering the bait-and-switch I experienced, and length of time to fulfill the contract. After receiving the bulk of your payment from the insurance, it was clear there was no intention of completing the remaining promised work. You all clearly were all talk, no action and that is a huge pet peeve of mine. Had your company approached me with professionalism over six months ago, and acknowledged the misrepresentation of services, and then completed the unfinished work, this matter could have been resolved without a negative review. Instead, the lack of accountability has compelled me to share my experience on additional platforms to provide an honest account for future customers. Yes, my rating reflects the stressful experience I had dealing with your company, and I believe it's fair. When you're spending a substantial amount of money, especially in this economy, quality isn't the only factor that matters. If your work hadn't met the necessary standards, my mortgage company would have ensured you weren't paid. So I expect that level of service, just like the experience you'd get at a Chick-fil-A. You are welcome to share your lengthy responses on each platform if you feel it's necessary, though they fail to address the actual issues at hand. Wishing you the best!

Wolverine Roofing - First 'repair' 5/23/23

I have been working on my labor of love through blood, sweat, tears, and lots of resources to…read morerestore my historic dream home in Conway. I love to bring local contactors into this project and have met amazingly honest people such as Arkansas Drain and Foundation, Salter Plumbing, Top Notch Roofing, Martin Footprints Flooring, Roundabout Cleaning Services, and many other local establishments that take care with this old girl of mine. I hired local Wolverine Roofing and Solar in 2022 for a full roof replacement including upgrades to slope a flat portion, install architectural shingles, and a seperate contract for subcontracted new gutters after the roof was installed and paid. I paid the roofing contract in full, over $34,000 -- received a Certificate of Completion and a paid in full invoice for the roofing work from Wolverine. Shortly after install, I noticed a gap left in the roofline that allowed varmints into my attic. I also reported that two windows were broken during installation (pointed out to the project manager at time installation) and that the newly installed gutter on the flat section was placed too high, causing drainage issues. It took 8 months of follow-up, multiple calls, and threats of legal action to get the company to respond. The gutter on the flat/pitched portion of the roof was installed too high, Mr. Vaprezsan himself acknowledged over a year ago, stating it caused water backup and should be corrected. Only after further escalation and on-site assessment with another contractor on site, did they properly repair the gap and replace the windows. When they did come, they initially performed a subpar patch job on the roofline. After pushing them hard on the quality of the "repair" did they finally come and correct for a second time. However, the gutter issue was never addressed -- and now the pitched flat roof section is leaking into my home, damaging my historic beadboard ceilings. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, Wolverine Roofing and Solar failed to respond until I filed a formal complaint with BBB. When I filed a BBB complaint, they responded by falsely claiming I didn't pay -- despite their own invoice for the roofing work stating my balance was $0. I did reserve payment for separate sub-contracted gutter work until the corrective actions promised by Mr. Vaprezsan were completed. Looking into other reviews, I've found this kind of response pattern is not unique to me. This company and owner have not upheld their workmanship warranty and failed to take accountability. Rather than addressing the leak and warranty claim, Wolverine Roofing has responded to my BBB complaint with an unfounded accusations and personal attacks. Looking into other reviews, I've found this kind of response pattern is not unique to me. I hoped to resolve this in good faith and expectation that Mr. Vaprezsan would honor his word and contractual agreements. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your roofing needs. I would strongly caution anyone considering Wolverine.
