Spoke to Mr Christmas while in court about my case. Spoke to him again THREE days ago, said he…read morewould call me back after approval with the partners. He assured me he saw no conflict with taking me on as a client, however, not only was there no return call, but avoided calls everyday since. I called and they denied to represent me and didn't have the respect to call and atleast tell me so. Customer service can still be professional when the answer is no, rathee than intentionally avoiding someone. **UPDATE: After I spoke to Matt Ooten himself, on 5/4/22 at 1:53 pm, 22 minutes LATER, he called me back and the first sentence out came, as a COMPLETE shock as he basically on several times said You're stupid. He continued to belittle me, attack what he believed was a low level of intellect in regards to my intelligence level as well as yell, AGGRESIVELY at me how, as Matt yelled "I WILL PERSONALLY MAKE SURE YOU CAN NOT GET ANY ATTORNEY IN KNOXVILLE FOR YOUR CASE" and then hung up on me. CLEARLY, this man needs anger management as a simple, but factual review triggered him to act like a spoiled child; while assuring me he was going to spoil my name with lawyers in the area.I'm immediately became in a fear for my life, freedom and liberty as this man threatened me in multiple ways while belittling me. Copy and paste the URL following this sentence to see screen shots of the call logs to confirm my interaction with the Ooten Lawfirm. There is no excuse for this kind of behavior and it's against the law for an attorney to talk about my case with ANYONE, except in the case hearing/trial itself. https://imgur.com/a/AqizyYl

Danny Garland is hands down the best attorney in Knoxville! With nearly 30 years of experience, he…read moreknows the law inside and out, and elegantly outwitted our opposition every time. I witnessed first-hand his positive rapport with local judges and other attorneys in town for being knowledgeable, ethical, and tireless in his pursuit of justice. Danny and his paralegal, Carolyn, work seamlessly as a team to ensure i's are dotted and t's are crossed on the mountain of paperwork required throughout the process. This included staying on top of petitions, counter-petitions, multiple contempt violations, hearings, depositions, interrogatories, and countless records entered as evidence during the trial. They both went far above and beyond my expectations in helping me to obtain a favorable outcome for both custody and child support. I truly became friends with both of them throughout the nearly year-long court battle in a very high-conflict co-parenting situation. My daughter's father hired an extremely aggressive lawyer, and together they used every trick in the book to attempt to intimidate and bully me into submission. Danny encouraged me not to back down and gave me the confidence to keep fighting for what was best for her. Danny and Carolyn had my back unconditionally, coaching me through every step with empathy and patience. I now have the parenting time I will need to try and undo the trauma that has been inflicted upon her. As my review hopefully demonstrates, I cannot recommend Danny enough.
