There are a lot more out there that charge more and if they charge less...remember...you get what you pay for. Not only did Damon excel at representing me on both my cases, he surprised me by getting me a whole lot more from my divorce than what I thought I would get. There were times when I wanted to throw in the hat and just get my divorce over with but Damon would sit me down and say "trust me". And I did. I will always be grateful to him and I will always consider Damon my personal attorney because of what an outstanding job he did for me. You can't go wrong with Ralls Wooten & Black and you for sure can't go wrong hiring Damon to handle your divorce or any other family matter.

That turned out to be some of the best advice we have ever received. The basic concept of the Trust is simple, but the implementation and details can quickly get overwhelming. Fortunately Stephen and his legal assistant Lorie were available to help us every time we needed it. With the amount of work involved, we were pleasantly surprised at the final cost. It was very much worth every dollar for the peace of mind to know that our final wishes will be carried out as we intended. From our first consultation through our Administrative Law Judge hearing last week Mr. Anderson was incredibly proactive and positive regarding my application. Although the process of getting to the ALJ hearing phase took nearly a year, Mr. Anderson kept me informed at every step and also handled my case with remarkable due diligence, collecting hundreds of pages of medical and financial paperwork for use in supporting the very thorough and persuasive brief that he wrote for the ALJ in advance of my hearing. As the hearing approached, Mr. Anderson scheduled two sessions specifically with me to prep me thoroughly for exactly what to expect at the hearing. We went over my records and he helped me have a clear and very specific understanding of exactly what types of questions the judge would likely have for me at the hearing. All of this preparation paid off; because I knew what to expect in the hearing, I was able to understand what sort of info the judge was seeking and I was also able to answer his questions in the way that Mr. Anderson had advised me that he (the judge) would find most helpful. Obviously Mr. Anderson's months of conscientious work on my behalf paid off; the judge told us before the hearing was even over that he had decided to award me Social Security disability benefits plus applicable back pay. I know from my external reading that a positive decision by a judge directly from the bench almost never happens and when it does, it's largely due to the attorney's preparation of his/her client, plus having the appropriate records available along with a clear and compelling brief for the judge to get a concise understanding of the case. I can't recommend Ed Anderson highly enough. I've rarely had a more satisfying experience with a professional service provider. He's also polite, pleasant and always willing to answer all of my questions. I would definitely select him again as my attorney in this or any other similar matter.

Bob Wilkinson "represented" me in my divorce, after my husband got my first (out-of-state) attorney…read morefired for failing to have my in-state attorney cosign all papers, as was legally required. Bob actually tried to talk me down from our initial agreement of in alimony from my husband, when I was not working and was recovering from a major illness that required 3 years of treatment and recovery, while my husband was working at ORNL and earning just under $200,000/year. I was incredulous that Bob's words as he took me aside were, "We have to leave him enough to live on." I insisted that he agree to the initially discussed offer of $500 more! I was going to be on COBRA to the tune of $700/month for just 3 years. He did not inform me that I was entitled to half of my husband's retirement for the duration of our 20 years of retirement. He signed our QDRO after reviewing it, and still did not inform me of this, despite the fact that my husband did not report that as one of our assets. I discovered this several years later, he insisted that he had never been my attorney of record, despite the fact that he had signed our final divorce decree as my divorce attorney. Bob was a horrible attorney who left me high and dry - he was the antithesis of an advocate, and I recommend him to no one. I am sincere as to the veracity of every statement I make here. I have not embellished or distorted a single statement in this review. I have spoken with at least 3 individuals related to me, who described serious mistakes; failures; or just plain ignorance on Bob's part in serving as their attorney. Of course, those are 3rd party reports and I cannot speak as to the truth of their statements, except to vouch for the good character of these people, and the fact that I've never found reason to mistrust them in the years that I have known them.

Attorney Billy Gribble is Amazing. Please take a moment to…read moreread my entire review. Billy is not well known because he doesn't advertise, but he is simply a hidden gem. I recently went through a divorce. Before coming to Billy, I hired a big shot attorney in Knoxville that was absolutely worthless. After she represented me for 30 days, I quickly realized that she wasn't vested in me or my case. She sold me a bill of goods but after she received my money. She wouldn't return my calls, and she would not listen to what my concerns are. She just kept saying. I do this everyday and let me lawyer for you. See, I knew that my case was going to be a hard one, and I strategized for 3 years before filing for divorce. My previous attorney's legal advice had my case going sideways really fast. I had a sick feeling in my gut. So I reached out to Billy to get advice about my case. He had the answers that I already knew was true but my current lawyer ignored. So I gladly walked away from a 3500 retainer fee, and paid Billy a new retainer. Billy took time and listened to me. Then he emotionally vested his self and time into my case. He used everything that I gave him with a list of embarrassing interogatories, restraining orders, and contempt charges. After he dropped off our discovery, the next call was let's schedule mediation and settle. Where as before, my exwife wanted to try our case in front of the judge, and act like she was the victim. So after 10 hours of meditation, (which Billy never took another call or stepped out of the room). I had his undivided attention. At the end of mediation, he settled our divorce and I am not paying 1 cent in alimony. We divided assets equally, and I didn't have to conceed on one issue. So, if you truly want an attorney that's reasonable and cares deeply about the client. Then you should hire Attorney Billy Gribble. Especially if you are getting divorced in Knoxville. He's not in the downtown Knoxville attorney club. My ex-wife and her big shot Knoxville Down Town attorney got it handed to her solely because of my decision to fire my other attorney and hire Attorney Billy Gribble. He stood up for me and he believed in my case. I can never thank you enough Billy Gribble. You truly represented me & protected my family's future.

Honest, experienced, fair pricing, fast response. Would be first on my list next time.read more
