History
Established in 2010.
The shop was used as personal garage for several years; serving myself (the owner), family, and friends. Like the stereotypical american, i wanted bigger and better. The garage got a massive makeover that was stretched over a few years, but the bulk of the of the work occurred the summer before opening officially in August of 2010. Since then, every year, I have reinvested almost all earnings, back into the business to make necessary advances and improvements to expand my capabilities, services, and productivity. There have been several part time employees over the years, but there will be a second full time employee predictably within the next year due to the constantly expanding customer base. Allwheel Auto LLC will continue to grow and provide quality services and repairs for a fair price.
Meet the Business Owner: Derek F.
At the age of 16 cars became a large part of my life. I decided to pursue this new passion, and that started with the Auto Tech program at CPI in pleasant gap for three years during high school. The first year, the instructor was an older gentleman that had been around during the dinosaur age, named Mr. Shomo. What he taught was outdated but I am thankful, because I learned all about mechanical engine repair which is hard to find anymore. The next 2 years were Mr. Stimely, who got me prepared for the real world as a tech. Following his recommendation, I went through a 2 year degree program for General Motors at Harrisburg Community College. During this time, and for 1 year after, I worked at 3 different GM dealerships learning all I could at each. I also worked part time at a parts store from high school until I started the business. I have several customers who i met there. Since then, I have put my life into this business and it is gradually starting to pay off.
