I'm not writing this review to express anger or ill-will to the people of Allure Dental. This is to warn prospective patients that might come to Allure for their dental needs. Understand this: Allure Dental is not a dentistry, they are Invisalign sales people. Whether you need it or not, they will sell you Invisalign. They brag about it in their office, proudly displaying their thousands of sales to all who come in. My girlfriend went in for her first cleaning and was pushed relentlessly to get Invisalign. She was provided no consultation and was charged $4,700 before even receiving the treatment. Only once the brackets were glued on to her teeth and the trays were pressed did they take the time to explain how the treatment worked. The sharp brackets tore through her cheeks and made eating a nightmare. Never in any of the pictures or descriptions were these brackets mentioned or shown. Never before this dentistry did any dentist recommend teeth correction to her. After explaining this to Allure, they removed the brackets and provided a $3,000 "refund" for a treatment provided to a patient who was without informed consent. She is $1,700 in debt. Please only use this dentistry if you have already researched Invisalign and know that you do not want to have braces. Invisalign is not covered by insurance. You will pay out of pocket. Consider other options if you are only in need of a yearly cleaning or other dental needs. read more

had a great experience as always. i usually see Gina for my cleaning but Hayley didn't disappoint!! she did great. very personable and we talked and talked. i didnt even hurt after my cleaning today. usually they are very tender and sensitive. So I will ask for Hayley or Gina either one is outstanding!! read more

This dental office seem twisted a little on my visit about my insurance or the front desk was not doing a good job? First, the front desk verified with my insurance to do cleaning and scaling. They said my insurance covered cleaning and 50% of scaling. I agreed on it and had those done. After they finished X-ray, I also was recommended two fillings. So, I asked if my insurance cover those two fillings before the start of the task. They confirmed my insurance covers 50% and I have to pay 50% out of pocket. Then, I agreed on it and paid 50% by debit card on the spot as soon as the fillings are done. However, they sent me a bill of another 50% "two months later" saying that my insurance did not cover fillings at all. I got disappointed on their front service. I assumed it was just office/front desk negligence. Lesson learned. I will never go back there. read more

They only go for your money, don't care about your dental health. Had a broken molar and asked for an extraction. They said I needed a root canal and a crown. The HIGHEST price in town for that. If I didn't agree on ALL they wouldn't start with the root canal. On first visit they scanned all my teeth and get a panoramic (I had only ONE molar broken). Dr. Didn't open my mouth at all. He suggested I needed "Invisalign". I was crying for the pain. On next day Dr. Murray started a root canal and "realized" that I had a BROKEN MOLAR and needed an extraction. He did it and left a piece of a root deep inside. I'll need a surgeon to get that out and pay again for that... AVOID!!! read more

Dr. Murray and his staff are all wonderful people! I needed to get new dentures and everything worked very smoothly and comfortably. My husband and I were treated with the utmost respect and appreciation! We would definitely recommend Allure Dental for any dental needs! I contacted Allure 6 weeks ago to get an appointment set for me and my daughter. They verified my insurance info, and had me fill out forms in advance, which I got back to them the same day. I show up to my appointment today, and the two front desk girls were not wearing masks. The hygienists walking around were not wearing masks. I waited 15 minutes after my appointment before I was called up, only to be told my insurance wasn't accepted and my preventative care would be out of pocket. I recognize I did not check if this was in network, but assumed it was because the staff took down and verified my insurance information 6 weeks ago! Surely they could've told me this info before I came in. Also, have your staff wear masks. This is a pandemic. Very unimpressed with the lack of professionalism and lack of safety precautions from this dental clinic. read more

Allure is not the place to go. I had my teeth clean and dentist said I needed a root canal and crown for $3,000. I went to another dentist for a second opinion. This doctor said that I did not need a root canal, but only a crown. I saved $1,800. So, when allure tells you that you need an expensive procedure, get a second opinion. read more

What a FANTASTIC dental office!!! Dr. Murray is welcoming and ensures that his patients are at ease. He truly is gifted in the field of Dentistry, and wants for each patient to feel and look their very best. What a blessing he is. The staff are also welcoming, and highly skilled. My son and I originally left this practice because we greatly preferred one dentist over the one we were randomly assigned when we first called, and they refused to allow us to choose who would treat us. That's outrageous enough. But then when I saw another dentist to perform work on two teeth Allure had told me were decayed and needed two crowns, the new dentist could find nothing wrong with those teeth and mentioned there was plenty of tooth remaining in both cases, such as would NOT require crowns. I guess the moral of the story is that if your dentist works in a lavish new building, he needs to pay for it somehow. Beware. read more

I have been to a few dental places here in down, and was very disappointed by the way they handled my teeth and their professionalism, so upon doing more research I chose allure because of other reviews. I'm glad I chose to come here because from the very beginning they made me feel so welcomed. They went over everything I needed done and we have come with a schedule on it and payment arrangements which is very nice! My "good as it gets" rating is based on the over-all service I experienced as a patient. I required a lot of repairs to older dental work. Quality of Service: One thing that scares people away from a dentist is the pain. I didn't feel any pain. I was impressed by how seriously Dr Mazur takes his obligation to continuing education and improvement. I think his effort pays off in that his skill and treatment methods seemed to be levels above other dentists I have seen in the past. Payment Options: Another thing that scares people away from a dentist is the cost. The office staff processed my dental insurance claim, and offered to set up a payment plan for my balance. Needed a dental exam to take a job overseas. Needed to get it in a timely manner. They got me in quickly and accommodated my schedule. I didn't have insurance (since I needed the exam to take a job) and they worked with me for payment. Had to have a little bit of work done (filling) and it was as easy and painless as possible (again easy scheduling, and in a literal sense virtually pain free work wise). It's a small thing but makes a big difference and the "bedside manner" was the best I've ever had at a dentist. I hate the dentist but a filling was no more bothersome than a cleaning. No one likes getting a filling and they put me at ease and I was in and out quick and painless. Again I was paying out of pocket and they both worked with me for payment and charged totally reasonable prices compared to competitors. If you're in Lafayette and need dental work this is your clinic. read more

Dr. Mazur took very good care of me after a horrible experience at Farabee Family Dental Care. He figured out what was going on with me in less than 10 minutes, that the other place couldn't (and caused) after 2 additional visits following the work they had done. Dr. Mazur did what needed to be done, as well as re-doing the work done at Farabee at no additional charge. Amber L. was amazing as well. I've been going there now for 3 years with no problems. Wish I had went here in the first place, a lot of suffering and expense would've been avoided. Very clean, professional, and skilled. read more

Writing a review is something I rarely do. When I do, it's usually because I don't wish my negative experience on anyone else. My reviews have been written hoping that I am preventing another consumer from sharing in my distaste of a restaurant, service, etc. However, I feel that my recent experience warrants me spending a moment to express my satisfaction that THIS experience is NOT what I'm used to. I became an Allure Dental patient this past summer of 2012. I was displeased that my current dentist failed to send me a 6 month check up post card, as they usually do. To some, this may not be a big deal. Everyone is busy, and I don't think this is something my provider should fall short on, IF they want to keep my business. I heard about Allure Dental from a friend I went to high school with. Her husband is in the military and is stationed on the East coast. She STILL drives home to Allure for all of her dental care. This, amongst other satisfied friends I know, convinced me to give Allure a shot. On my first visit, it was very apparent that this staff CARES about who you are, why you are there, what your goals are, and how they are going to help you accomplish them. I see Dr. Christian Mazur. Now I know, historically a dentist visit is NOT something you look forward to. Now, I DO. I recently scheduled a follow up appointment to get some fillings. I'll admit it. I was VERY nervous. I hadn't gotten any work done in years. Dr. Mazur said, "This will be your best dental appointments you've ever had." You might imagine my aprehension. Jenny and Megan have worked with me since the beginning as my Dental Assistants, and Gina is a spectacular Dental Hygenist. They have always explained everything to me in detail. They made me feel comfortable, even though I was nervous. Dr. Mazur made a promise that he delivered on. When my procedure was done, he asked me, "How would you rate this experience from 1-10." I said, "10." He delivered on his promise. It was painless, and the job was done. I thought to myself, "Why did I put this off?" I will continue to see Dr. Mazur until he retires or I move.
