called to have them place a faucet in a bathtub that had just been retiled. they come in and said…read morethey had to chisel the tile and ended up breaking the piece and pulling it off the wall, then the office lady says, "oh well!". DO NOT USE!!!!

Meaux's was hired to temporarily remove and replace a sewer line in a renovation project I was…read moredoing. When they replaced the sewer line they used rubber couplings "Fernco Fittings" and guaranteed when questioned that they would not leak. Renovations were then completed, and the house passed inspection prior to the holidays. During the holiday there was a loud noise under the home, and a sewage smell soon developed. My husband investigated and found that the Fernco Fittings had failed, and that sewage had spilled under our home. I called Meaux's to come assess the problem. The plumber arrived after the holiday, assessed the issue, and stated that a loose board they had placed under the pipe to support it (rather then properly anchoring it with hangers or fixed supports) had been knocked over. (This is not possible due to the fact that the home is fully sealed, and enclosed with rubber membrane. The board simply fell over.) The plumber snaked the toilet that was attached the the faulty plumbing, leaving fecal material strewn across my new bathroom floors. The plumber informed me that he had placed the loose board back in position to support the loose pipe (again without anchoring it). He then left the job site, and I was sent a bill for $240.00. I called Meaux's for clarification on why I was being charged for the breakage of newly installed plumbing. The receptionist was very rude, and informed me that someone had knocked over the loose board supporting my pipe. I explained to her that this was not possible, and when I asked why a loose board was used to support a critical piece of plumbing I was given no reasonable explanation. I asked to speak to the manager, and was told I would be contacted. I never was. I called Meaux's again and asked they send another plumber out to assess the loose board, and provide a more long-term/stable solution for my plumbing needs. A plumber came out, and stated that based on what he saw a better solution was needed. He stated that they'd be in contact with me regarding a better solution to the plumbing issue. At this point I sent a check to Meaux's for the $240.00 with the expectation that they would return to fix the pipe. Nearly 2 months have gone by with no word from this company. I've called multiple times with no response. We ended up having to contact another plumber to properly support the pipe so it would not fail again.
