So, I am happy to be the first tip and review them. We stopped here to get gas and water while traveling from CA making our way to Michigan on the I-40E. The station was clean inside and out including the restroom. The clerk was a friendly fellow and helpful. We went to the counter to order and no one was there, a young man got out of a booth and came to take our order. His face hidden behind his hair, he didn't greet us or welcome us, he just said, what can I get you?" I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and my wife ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The cook poked her head out after we paid and said they didn't have anything to make the Philly. So my wife ordered the bacon cheeseburger. We sat and waited as what we can only assume were regular customers left. Then it was just us and the young man and his female companion sitting in booths. One customer walked behind the counter and chatted up the cook for a good 10 minutes, all the while we are waiting for our order. Finally I got up and walked to the counter as the customer left and the cook scurried back into the kitchen. The young man got up from his booth and asked me what I wanted to order. I had to tell him that I was still awaiting my order. He went back into the kitchen and brought out the plates that obviously had been ready and sitting there. The burgers were not tasty and they were slightly on the cold side from sitting around. The fries were inedible, lacking flavor. Even salt didn't help those greasy planks of old potato. This place really needs an overhaul. I shuddder to think of the cleanliness issues that may be lurking in the kitchen. This place may have been great in a time gone by, but today you should just pass on by.

Nothing special going on at this stop, but staff friendly, a 5 out of 10 to me rated single stall bathroom in back and loaded with your typical convenience store foods and snacks. It has a few gas pumps. It is easy to find down Main Street a number of blocks from highway, but not easy to know that from highway I don't think. You have to know that it is here. Giving this Allsup a 3 Yelp rating due to the lottery ticket piece and no other options before leaving the state, but not sure I would suggest otherwise. Seems to maybe service more locals. But hey, gas is gas and if in a pinch, it's here.
