Joy Insurance gave us the run around for weeks before we could get a rental vehicle. We finally were given authorization to get a rental vehicle that I paid out of pocket. I did get reimbursed for this, however the time they authorized the rental my vehicle was almost ready from the body shop. I only used the rental vehicle for 3 days and the car was in the shop for more than 2 weeks. I was also not given thorough info regarding transferring insurance to my son. Needless to say, this was the icing on the cake for us to leave. Very unhappy how this ended with them. This is in response to Liam Joy: I did receive a voicemail and email from your Dad. The email he sent did not have accurate facts. First off, you never explained the process on transferring insurance to my son's name. You took our son's money and then at the 11th hour after time passed you decided to call him and ask about plates. You expected him to know that he needs the title signed over. Nothing was ever explained about the process. This is typical for your agency, just like the claim process. It would have been nice to get a call directly from you when you discovered there was a problem. Let me just say, you had plenty of chances to call me and make good. You decided to ignore this, and thought it would go away. It is unfortunate that it ended this way.

Last…read moremonth(12/22/18), I purchased a car and took this opportunity to switch my Car insurance from AAA to NJM Auto Insurance so that all of our Home and Auto insurance are under NJM. We were informed that our insurance would be $920 for my wife's car(2014 subaru crosstrek) and $1120(2019 Subaru Outback Limited), our car salesman talked to NJM the day we bought my car to insure that they know all of the safety features of the car. Today 1/2/19, I went to check our Policy online to setup the payments since we received an NJM packet last week that only contained my wife's insurance policy at her old rate before I was added. So I called NJM to verify the amount of our policy and the representative I spoke to mentioned that it changed from $920/1120 to $992/1173. He said that the previous rep should not have confirmed the previous values since there was a 4% rate increase for the new year. He then put me on hold to research if there are any other factors that raised our rate. After about 5 minutes, he reiterated the 4% increase and brought up my no point violation from March 2016. If I knew they would do this I would have stuck with my previous insurance for my car.
