Completely green to the process, I scrambled to find another insurer and was recommended the Taylor Agency to help, and help they did. I had a new policy within a week. Flash forward a few years, and a neighbor's dying 40 foot tree has resulted in 5 or 6 claims over two years. That insurer issued a non-renewal notice in November of 2019, claiming that we'd exceeded the number of claims without ever previously noting this limitation. Even though we had a claims history that made most insurers wary, we had a new policy within a month and avoided a lapse in coverage due to Katie's diligence and dedication. Flash forward to June of 2020, and our bank has told us that we had no insurance from Feb. '19-Nov. '19, and that they had bought a policy on our behalf and would be paying out of our escrow to cover the costs and increasing our mortgage payment to make up the difference. I sent katie the letters one evening within 8 hours received a call from her, saying she'd spoken to the bank and received verbal confirmation they were in the wrong and would be refunding our escrow. TRULY AMAZING!!

Called the branch and wanted to talk to the manager: she was not available of course and never called me back. Nobody at WellsFargo cares about you if there is a problem, they just want your money and couldn't care less about anything else. The company continued to ask for the same information and documents over and over again. I understand that since the crisis Mortgage Companies have to be more vigilant. Alcova is on the verge of paranoia. All of this with a current rating score of over 815-820! I can't imagine what they would ask for from someone starting out or buying their first house. We built a house and paid off two homes on top of the rating. However this is the least of our issues. We didn't even pay the first payment to Alcova when we got a notice that they sold our Mortgage to Shellpoint . Shellpoint can not find our file per the auto telephone operator and you can not speak to a live person! This is the outcome of using Alcova Mortgage Company. This issue continues and Alcova gets one star because it is the least allowed!
