    My family has been insured through Andy Thomas's office for approximately five years. Throughout…read morethat time, our experience had been consistently positive, and we trusted the office to act in good faith. In September 2025, we discovered a leak beneath our home's foundation. From the outset, Andy Thomas and his first response representative, Dale, assured us that we would be taken care of during what was an extremely stressful situation. We were referred to a plumber, Hank Hankinson, who we were told had been used by the office hundreds of times for similar cases. Mr. Hankinson inspected the issue and confirmed that a cracked pipe beneath our bathtub was the source of the leak. The repair required removal of the bathtub and excavation through the foundation. This repair process took approximately two months to complete. Throughout September, October, and into November 2025, Andy Thomas repeatedly assured me that he would handle this matter internally and that my family would be taken care of financially. Based on these repeated assurances, I proceeded in good faith and relied on his word. The issue arose when Andy Thomas later informed me that he would not honor the portion of the payment he had promised. I was told that his "hands were tied" because my wife had submitted a claim with State Farm on the day the issue was first discovered. That claim was denied within approximately 10 minutes, without any inspection or site visit. As a result, despite repeated assurances over several months, Andy Thomas withdrew his commitment solely due to a brief, immediately denied claim. The total remaining balance is $1,907. I have already paid my $1,000 deductible and am now being required to pay the remaining amount that I was explicitly told would be handled. This situation represents a clear breakdown of trust. Verbal commitments were made repeatedly and relied upon, only to be reversed later. Regardless of internal policy constraints, the assurances given to me over a prolonged period created reasonable reliance and expectation. I am submitting this complaint so that this matter is formally documented and reviewed.
