The end of my husband's obituary was missing when they posted it on the website; however, the correction was made quickly after I called to notify them.

While I understand that certain legal and procedural requirements must be completed prior to cremation, the way this information was communicated lacked even the most basic compassion, professionalism, and dignity that grieving families deserve. The tone used was abrupt, dismissive, and disturbingly harsh. Rather than approaching the situation with empathy and care, they were made to feel like an inconvenience during one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. They were shushed by Kristen for having emotions. What should have been handled quietly and respectfully instead became an experience that added unnecessary pain and distress to the family. Families place enormous trust in funeral professionals to guide them through loss with compassion, patience, and humanity. Unfortunately, that trust was completely undermined by the conduct I witnessed. There is never an acceptable reason to speak to grieving people in a manner that feels demeaning, insensitive, or emotionally careless. I strongly urge your organization to address this matter internally and evaluate how staff communicate with families during end-of-life services. No family should walk away from a viewing carrying additional trauma because of the behavior of those entrusted to care for their loved one. I will forget how Kristen treated the family during this experience, and I sincerely hope meaningful changes are made so another family does not endure the same lack of compassion and professionalism.

I went to a visitation 03/14/2018 and asked why they didn't move the register (the book you sign)…read morefurther away from the front door as there was 20-30 people waiting outside to get in (my wait time to get in the front door was 15 minutes). I was told it has always been in that location and nothing could be done. The temperature was upper 30's and people came dressed and no coats, I also found many places the register could have been moved to allow all the people to get inside. I asked to talk to the director (I think was the owner) and when I suggested moving the register I was told "If I didn't like it go some other place!" Then he walked toward me and said "Get out of my way!" and when I asked if he was serious he said "Yes (continued to walk toward me) get out of my way, get out of the funeral home!" There was no respect for me or the other people that had to wait outside, he didn't care. I would never recommend this business for anything!

I hate leaving a review of a cemetery/crematorium, however these folks deserve 10 stars. I had to…read moresay farewell to my beloved fur child, and didn't want him sitting for days after he passed. I wish I could recall names, but it was a rough day. Upon calling, everyone was amazing on the phone. I had my vet call to notify them I was on my way. Of course I arrived hysterical with my beloved. The compassion and empathy shown by the 4 kind souls working was incredible! The respect given to me and my fur baby was phenomenal, and priceless for my healing process. Everything was explained, and I was offered a time to reflect. If this is how pet parents are treated, I imagine families are made very comfortable during difficult times. The grounds were beautiful, and the people working there are truly gifts to grieving families! The heartfelt cards I received after reflect that this business truly does care. Many thanks!

In the past 8 years, we have always received a letter in the mail, or it was printed in the news paper and then there were signage put up on McKinley Highway as well as Jefferson stating cemetery cleanup and when it is... This year there was no letter and no signage and to our amazement the cemetery has been cleaned... The dumpster is full of everybody's flowers and decorations... No notice given... going into the cemetery, in very small print, it gives the clean up days....but for someone with poor eyesight, they'd never see it... We lost a $100 solar light from Eternal Lighting Company, a couple other statues and figurines, and then five other solar lights that we had on some other family members graves as well... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CEMETERY!!! They are crooks!!

Earlier in the day, I called to inquire whether a family member was at the funeral home so I could assist my grandmother in sending a Red Cross message. Later, I called again to confirm that the family member had not yet been handled or transferred, as I had been informed otherwise by a relative. I'm not sure if this lady is having a bad day or what, but regardless of the circumstances, I believe it is wrong to speak to or treat grieving individuals, especially service members, in such a manner. Based on this lady's demeanor, I am glad my relative is not at this funeral home because a business is only as good as its worst employee.
