They didn't call. They didn't knock. They didn't ring the door bell. They just decided not to do the job. We are safe at home. Could you imagine being stuck on the road and an irresponsible, unprofessional, dishonest tow driver decides to accept your dispatch and then not show up? We were here all night with the light on. Yes, our street has a couple different names, but so do lots of other streets in Indiana. Anyone who claims they do not know our street is either too stupid or too new to Indiana to ever start a towing business or else they are full of B.S. which is what we told them. They didn't like our short but steep drive way so they went home and didn't cancel with us our insurance, and then when we called them they lied stupid lies. Do not trust them if you are stranded by the side of the road. Don't make a challenging situation harder but trusting jerks like these guys.

Doug from Smith Bros Towing arrived at where we were and the first thing he said was "Let's get you off this highway to somewhere safe" I knew he had a passion for his job at that moment. It is terrifying to be sitting in a truck on the side of a busy highway, especially with your family in your vehicle watching all the semis and cars fly by who do not move over for disabled vehicles. Doug towed us off the highway to a nearby parking lot, where we then realized we needed to get towed home, 200 plus miles away back to Illinois. Unfortunately, Doug did not have availability to tow the truck home for us (a 4-hour drive one way), however, he made numerous calls to get us connected with another company that would get our truck home safe, when he did not have to do that. Doug stayed with us until the new towing company arrived and even helped load our truck onto the new flatbed. My son-in-law found a used tank nearby. Columbia Auto agreed to install it, so my husband who had driven in expecting to pick me up, ran and got the tank.
