I ended up in the ER with diarrhea, severe vomiting and uterine cramping. I couldn't keep food down for two days and lost my appetite for four more days after that. The way Wawa handled this was appalling: Destruction of Evidence: I told Catherine C (Customer Relations) I planned to contact a lawyer that I know who could have the food tested for further contamination. She insisted I return it to the store for 'internal testing.' I complied. The store manager, Nambia at the time offered me $6.99 to resolve the issue. I later found out that Wawa's Corporate team contacted the store and instructed them to discard the salad. Dismissive Corporate Response: Michelle Chapman (Michelle.chapman@helmsmantpa.com) has been completely dismissive of my trauma. She passed the blame to their supplier, Taylor Farms and did not provide any further resolution beyond $6.99. Wawa tricked me into giving back the evidence, destroyed it, and now refuses to take accountability. Take caution if you eat at this Wawa. Side note: I have been going to wawa faithfully since I was a child...sometimes 10+ times a month, which my wawa app will reflect. This gas station is across from the Wilmington airport (ILG) in New Castle Delaware. We pulled in, got some gas and off we went. They had a weird set of cones to direct traffic, so there was only one way to get into the pumps, but nevertheless, it was an easy way to get cheap gas.

So when it was my turn I paid for my things and left. I walked outside and saw the group talking and two of the girls looked at me then talked among themselves and one of the girls said "Does this look like a black girl's comb?" then turned to each other and laugh. The girl was obviously white and I am black with dreadlocks like I need a comb. I could have reacted in a way that wouldn't have had a good turn out but after a 16-hour shift I wanted to go home quick. So knowing that this store has racist employees that has their racist family come by and harass the customers. I will not be returning as this place was a normal pit stop I would rather wait til I get to the Valero and spend a few extra dollars NO PROBLEM.
