Seen Dr. Francis Ogbolu in Sidney at his office and at the Hospital, I had the green light laser, and still had all the same issues, but with a lot of bladder pain, went to Good Samaritan North Hospital, seen doctor Dan Miller, Dr Miller, preformed the scope on me, and said, no one has touched my prostate, and that I'm going to need the laser surgery ! read more

Dr. Francis Ogbolu. For my significant other's (Chas) prostate which was grossly enlarged and unable to urinate: For almost 2 years had been treating him with Rx Flomax after he had been unable to urinate following a colonoscopy(7/2014). When the first catheter was removed he soon needed to have another reinserted still unable to urinate. When this 2nd one was removed Chas was able to urinate and was placed on Flomax. He later had a prostate biopsy, by Dr. Ogbolu, which was negative for cancer. We initially liked Dr. Ogbolu. He was very personable and friendly. Then early 5/2016 Chas was once again unable to urinate. Went to ER, as we had done before and had another catheter inserted. All of these visits to the ER were very stressful as his bladder was painfully & dangerously full. Protruding stomach. The pain of putting in the catheter was back arching, yelling and hanging on painful for Chas. Very traumatic each time. We called Ogbolu"s office. Made an appt. At the appt. a few days later it was decided that Ogbolu would perform a Green Light Laser surgery to reduce the size of Chas's prostate. This was done on 5/16/16. Ogbolu reported to me that the surgery was a success. He said Chas had an extra enlarged prostate. More like the size of a 75 year old man. Chas is 58. A few days later at Ogbolu's office the cath was removed. They told him he may have some burning and gave him pain med for that. Well the burning was excrutiatingly painful. Came in waves and the pain med didn't seem to have ANY affect. Then he couldn't urinate. BACK TO ER FOR ANOTHER CATH. HORRIBLY PAINFUL Saw Ogbolu. Says it must be a UTI take antibiotics the ER gave and he'll take cath out in a week. Took cath out in a week and Chas STILL could not urinate. Back in to ER. ANOTHER CATH. Ogbolu said to his receptionist to tell Chas to come in in a couple of weeks. By now we say to ourselves.... he doesn't care. His surgery didn't work and he doesn't care. we found another urology group. Doc did another surgery... not knowing what he would find. (We had the fear that maybe he just couldn't urinate on his own, that his bladder may not be able to push out his urine) When he went in he found a grossly enlarged prostate. VERY minor signs that a laser surgery had been done. . This new doc, Dr. Miller out of Good Samaritan North in Dayton, said Chas's prostate was COMPLETELY blocking his prostate.Questioned Ogbolu's ability/training to do this type of surgery over and over, After this 2nd surgery and a week later when the cath was removed he WAS able to urinate. Successful surgery. His recovery took a full 8 weeks. He was weak. Lost a lot of blood over the course of the caths and surgery. He also lost 15 pounds. He looked like he had been ill. I do NOT recommend Ogbolu. He wants it easy. Doesn't care if it things don't go right. Not skilled. Have heard of 2 others males that went thru the same thing with him. read more

I had the enlarged prostate, went through all the testing crap, had the green light laser, said prostate enlarged, like that of an 80 year old, told me bladder was fatigued, said it would take a long time to heal, never had pain before the green light, but have had pain ever since, still have all the same issues, cost around 10 grand, with everyone getting there cuts. time for me to see a new doctor, wilson health sucks, go somewhere else if you can, stay away from the quacks in Sidney, Ohio ! read more

I've suffered with an enlarged prostate for years, with the usual side effects, culminating in acute urinary retention in mid-August. I had the Green Light procedure August 29, and it appears to be completely successful. I suffered no post-op discomfort, and things are back to normal. I can't say that I have the stream of my youth, but I have the stream of 6-7 years ago, and, at age 69, I'm fine with that. read more
