Each day of the week the school offers cultural activites so you can get to know the rarea, its cuisine and heritage. During my time I stayed with a host family in Montpellier. They were great, welcoming people and treated my like a family member. The city is great for young people and at the school you will find friends very quickly. The school also helped me prepare for my DELF B1 exam which I got the results just a week ago and I passed. Thank you LSF!

Many of the teachers and administrators could also speak English if you found yourself struggling, but with the strict little to no English policy, French language learning took a very natural, effective course. Apart from the functionality of the school, it was a wonderful place to meet people from all over the world. While I was there, I believe there were around 70 nationalities represented. The city of Montpellier is perfect for activies through the day and into the night. If you attend this school, you can expect endless opportunities to open up for you through field trips, independent travel, volunteer work and assimilating into the French culture!

I felt that a test a month or two closer to the date would be more indicative of my language level. This was clearly stated in an email.n I heard nothing back from them and made the booking. Once the funds had cleared I ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY HAD TO TAKE THE TEST IMMEDIATELY!!! WITHIN 72 HOURS! This seemed insane. When I reiterated my explanation they were quite rude. And not just curt, more like "ha-ha, we have your money, what are you going to do about it?" I have a feeling that they do a lot of this bait and switch.

Elodie was extremely patient and took great care in helping me build and craft a very solid and correct base of the french language, to the point where after 7 weeks of hard work from both of us I was able to speak and comprehend and had the confidence to put myself in almost any situation, mostly with great success. The teaching method Elodie uses is great as it focuses on real world situations and helps you build confidence to use the language right from the first day. She also addresses all the nuances between written and spoken french and helps to ensure you learn to speak as a native speaker would. Elodie was the best teacher, professor, coach and language parent I could have asked for and she did it all with a smile. The school is pretty small and less established than other language schools in Montpellier (there are a lot!) but for me this was great because the atmosphere was really friendly and intimate. Also, this means that the courses that they offer really are individually customised. For example, I knew that I wanted to improve my speaking and listening skills so my teacher really focused on that in the lessons rather than traditional grammar exercises. It's also in a great location as well, just 5 minutes walk from the Place de la Comédie.

When I arrived at the address provided there were 2 others living there. I absolutely could have compromised, but it was not a good situation. I was given a very small room next to the living room and kitchen. The other two bedrooms were full size, in the back of the house and had lots of privacy. The room had a broken door that didn't close and the noise from the common areas was not conducive to study. I don't even want to mention the filth, the mold in the bathroom, the overflowing trash cans, the rotting food in the refrigerator. I let the owner of the school know the next day. He did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. Because it was last minute, my only option was an airbnb. Now, I had to spend so much (nearly all) of my summer budget on housing that I couldn't afford to stay the full 5 weeks of the program. I was given a second guarantee that the extra weeks would be refunded to me. This school has not refunded my money for OVER A YEAR for an apartment I didn't stay at, one that was not even close to what was guaranteed to me, nor for the 2 extra weeks of intensive classes that I pre-paid for but never attended. I am not one to write negative reviews about any small business owner, but this behavior is unethical. He literally stole €1400 from me. The owner is dishonest, dismissive and has little concern for his students or his teachers. Please do not support this institution.
