Worst experience of my life. Ive been in therapy and under a psychiatrist care since 1998 for early childhood trauma and other issues. I spent one month here and never talked to my psych. I left messages and then I Left a message directly for him. No response. I called multiple times for a refill only to be sent on a goose chase to my pharmacy to get them to request it(?!) They had no clue want my new psych office was wanting to accomplish here since this was a controlled substance. Like I previously said, I tried to get help directly from my psych who only ended up here at this facility because his other practice closed. So the script was finally sent to the pharmacy but not by my doc. There is someone there that takes care of the refills and it was sent to the pharmacy incorrectly and I have all the evidence to prove it. I left a message about the error only to receive a personal call back by this person to let me know she didn't do anything wrong and "maybe" my doc changed it. I said no because our last visit a month ago we decided on a new dosage and that's what I'm looking to get filled now. She would not budge. I suggested there was simply an error and I know what my doc wants me to take because I have the empty bottle in front of me with the new dosage and she wouldn't budge. I felt gate kept. I couldn't talk to my doc. I felt like he didn't know this was going on. Suddenly she withdrew the new prescription that was sent. I'm out of medication completely by now as this all took days. Finally I just decided this isn't the place for me. Maybe one day my doc will notice I'm missing and reach out until then I'm on my own and we wonder why we have this mental health crisis in America. This behavior doesn't help those who are already suffering and su!cidal. read more

I do like my Doctor, it's the administrative that needs major improvement. It's very difficult to get a real staff member for even during hours of being open, the answering service picks up. I am not sure why the need for an answering service when the answer is 'call back during open hours'. I am and it's going to an answering service. Voicemails are not returned for several days. New to the area in Wheaton over 65. The receptionist said they do not take clients over 65. Gave a referral with no one answering the phone. It stated not able to take calls. Very sad people are treated like this especially someone trying to get help. I would rate it below zero. read more

I tried making an appointment at Alliance Clinical Associates for a pediatric psychologist, but it was difficult from the get-go. The biggest barrier is the fact that they're ONLY doing virtual appointments. Virtual appointments have been a disaster for my young child: so much so, that our last social worker had us come in person because noting productive could be accomplished. The second thing that I wasn't a fan of was the fact that they required a credit card number on file in order to make an appointment. I was calling from work, didn't have my purse with me, and was given a smarmy response about not being able to make an appointment unless I called by the end of the day with my payment information. Needless to say, I wasn't a fan of either policy, nor of the way that I was talked to on the phone. I've since booked an appointment with a different pediatric provider: one who doesn't have hypochondriac practices and doesn't demand upfront payment, "or else" appointments can't be made. Dr. Tso is cool, Gina, his receptionist, is not. She never answers the phone, she always lets it go voicemail. I have NEVER called and had her actually pick up the phone, yet... that's her job. I've also left messages and never had her call me back. I've had three instances where I needed to reschedule an appointment, called numerous times, and haven't had her contact me or the doctor. I'll get a call the day of the appointment by the doctor asking me where I am. Then, they want to charge me a $100 fee for missing. Luckily, Dr. Tso is understanding and has waived the fee due to my frustration and me almost looking for somewhere else to go. Also, this place is pretty expensive. Even with good insurance I still pay almost $250 per visit out of pocket. Unfortunately, I might start looking for new places soon. read more

There aren't enough hours in the day for me to rave about Alliance so I'll keep my review brief - but TL;DR highly recommend Alliance! I began seeing my therapist, Lynn Jones, about a year ago by the grace of god via Google. Lynn is patient, understanding and creates a tranquil, peaceful environment, even in a virtual setting. I have never developed a deeper trust in a therapist despite seeing several others in the past. Something I appreciate most about Lynn is her ability to provide support, guidance but most importantly, helps facilitate self discovery. My foundation and support from Lynn made me realize I needed more help. Lynn effortlessly connected me with Dr. Marseilles. Immediately, his passion stood out to me. I've never experienced more passionate and compassionate treatment. Dr. Marseilles genuinely cares and treats me like a partner in treatment rather than a patient. I am filled with an immense amount of gratitude for Lynn, Dr. M and Alliance. While my journey is far from over, I wanted to share my experience through this review in hopes it encourages someone to take the first step. read more

I was recommended to Alliance by my General Practitioner I have been going here for about a year now. I have really enjoyed my time with Dr. Marseilles. He is very attentive, caring, and insightful. I have never felt forced on medication that I didn't feel comfortable moving forward with. Actually I asked him about medication and he questioned me on in it thoroughly. I have also had numerous interactions with Gina. She usually responds within the hour and calls in prescriptions immediately. I have had nothing but pleasant experience with her. The providers at this location are very good and take the time to listen and provide a range of thoughtful solutions. They deserve a high rating. However, the secretary for several of the doctors, Gina, should be fired immediately. Rude, makes unnecessary editorial comments, cuts off polite questions, hangs up on people. I was seeking medical treatment. I was asked about my faith or spirituality at least 3 times during my only appointment. Why would you go to medical school if prayer cured anything? I have a decent insurance plan (BCBS/PPO), but somehow still owe this clinic $320. The doctor was nice enough to give me a couple refills on the medication, even though I never returned, so that's something, but I wouldn't recommend seeing anyone here unless you are into God. read more

I will no longer be going back to this establishment ever again! Although I had an ok experience for the past few years with Dr. Briskey, her receptionist Gina is the coldest, rudest, least understanding person I have ever come across. All of these reviews are about her driving their business away. I do not know what it will take until they start realizing she is the reason people are leaving and finding new therapists. Every time I had to deal with her, there was a story like this to follow. But this one today was my last straw. I had made an appointment 5 months in advanced since my doctor was going on pregnancy leave. Within those 5 months I got a new job with new hours. I received my reminder from my calendar Thursday night so I tried to call Friday after work twice but no answer or option to leave a voicemail. When I finally called Monday again, I received an annoyed call back from Gina. I let her know the situation and she instantly let me know I would be charged. She proceeded to tell me over and over again that I knew about the appointment so its my fault. When I asked her to help me reschedule she said my doctor could "give me a doctors note." I asked what that even meant and she replied "so you can leave work early. You already knew about the appointment." After a few minutes of her uncalled for remarks, I hung up the phone on her. Not to mention every time I tried to call for a prescription refill, I would never get my calls answered and my refills prescribed in time, causing medicine withdrawal EVERY TIME. I lost my mom 4 years ago to breast cancer, just a year before my dad was diagnosed with ALS. I am in my early 20s and need medicine and therapy to cope with my struggles. I hope Alliance is reading every single one of these reviews. But mainly I hope Gina is reading this. You work with people with mental health problems all day and you are the coldest and the least understanding person I have EVER met. This is the last person who should be "helping" assist people in need of therapy and depression medications. Such a JOKE. read more

I'm so grateful for my therapist, Sally Griffen! She's intelligent, warm, encouraging and insightful. I seriously don't know where Id be today without her support and expertise. I agree that all service related people should be kind, especially those that are managing appointments and care plans for people suffering with intense emotional pain. Remember though, that while suffering, people's perceptions can be skewed. That's why these YELP reviews can really cause unnecessary damage . Also, Alliance now sends reminders for appointments. I see Dr Marseilles at this practice but will not be going back. His secretary is horrible!! She doesn't return phone calls even after leaving repeated messages. She is also the rudest person I have ever dealt with on the phone. She should be treating people with emotional and mental issues with respect and understanding. Dr. TSO is warm friendly and very approachable and seems genuinely concerned. What I like about him is he insisted on meeting with all of us time to time, showing my teen how important a support system is. He has been very supportive and I really feel given my teen suggestions and tools she can use so she can learn to be her own advocate. I am very grateful my daughter has felt so comfortable with him it has really helped her find forgiveness and new strategies to move forward in a healthy way! read more

Dr. Marseilles is thorough and kindhearted. You have to be to do this line of work. I have no issues with my care. The office secretary calls me back within 24 hours to set up an appointment. I have talked to Gina and Kristy. I get no flack from them, I don't know about some of these other reviews. I can get a 8:30 appointment, or well into the afternoon. Usually no one is there at the desk in the early morning, the Dr. just calls you back. At the end of the visit, I pay my co-pay. It's not too far off I-88. read more

I have had nothing but excellent care from the doctors and staff for the 4 years I have been a patient at Alliance Clinical. My psychiatrist Dr Robert Marseilles is incredibly insightful and wise and it is clear that he genuinely cares and wants to seek the best and healthiest methods of treatment for my particular needs. His secretary even expresses the same commitment and concern and has always been so kind and helpful. All the other office staff members I have interacted with have been very pleasant and professional. The office itself is always clean and organized and the waiting room is spacious, clean, classy, and comfortable. (And always well stocked with celeb gossip magazines that I refuse to admit I enjoy) Several of my close friends also see doctors at Alliance and have all had positive experiences, so I would recommend Alliance to absolutely anyone struggling with mental health or just overwhelmed by life. Worst experience I've ever had with a mental health care practitioner. I was seeking a non-traditional treatment for my particular disorder that required a letter from a psychiatrist so my college could make allowances. My first appointment with Dr. Briskey went fine, though I felt at times like she wasn't really listening to me. There were a lot of things about my life that she attempted to clarify and just got completely wrong. But I'm not always the best communicator, so that may not have been entirely her fault. My second appointment, she was 40 minutes late with no explanation and no apology. I was given 15 minutes rather than the full hour. As far as I know, I was still charged for the full appointment. During this appointment, she promised that she would write the letter that day and mail it the following Monday. I wrote down the address and name of the person to whom it needed to go. She never sent the letter and later claimed that she had told me I would need to come in again in person. It took multiple calls to her office to discover this. My third appointment, a full month after she promised to send the letter, she was again an entire hour late, again with no explanation and no apology. At 45 minutes into my 50 minute appointment, she sent her secretary out to try and reschedule. I ended up having to miss class to sit in their waiting room because it was important to me that I got the letter for my treatment rather than getting blown off again. I work full time and attend school full time. It is rare that I have an entire hour of free time to dedicate to something like this. On top of that, though I had been told the letter was done, it was not. She spent the entire time I was in her office writing and editing the letter, which still looks like someone with a tenuous grasp of punctuation composed it rather than a trained medical professional. Also, her secretary was rude to me. Granted, I'm in my early 20s and every interaction I had with her with tense because I was angry, but a single apology from either one of them for making me wait or not telling me they were spontaneously changing the plan for my treatment would have gone a long way. For $400 an hour, I expected better than this. I will not be going back. Don't go to Dr. Briskey if you value being respected, your own time, or actual treatment for what ails you. read more

I initially gave this practice a great rating because the doctor is so wonderful, but I can't anymore. Like a lot of the other reviews, it's impossible to get anyone to return a phone call. Dr. Marseilles referred my son to a psychologist there, and I just received a phone call back, after 6 days, saying the doctor isn't taking new patients. Dr. Marseilles' assistant doesn't return phone calls either. I'm furious. I'm thinking about taking my business somewhere else. Stay away until they fire these incompetent people. This review is specific to the phone receptionist at the practice. I called to confirm the time of the appointment, and the receptionist said it was the previous day. Of course I was shocked, since I don't regularly miss appointments and had it in my calendar on the day I was calling. Clearly, I may have made a mistake, and felt a little shocked, but the receptionist, reciting office policy and dismissing my moment of shock and disappointment felt rude and condescending. Her saying, "do you have the yellow sheet from your previous visit? It's clearly written on this form. " was patronizing. If I had that sheet, I wouldn't have called to determine the appointment time on that day. It seems the front desk should receive more empathy training from one of the many professionals at the practice and have better phone manners. I'm sure if that call was monitored for quality, it would not have passed the test! read more

I love my doctor I see here. The only issue I've had is with his secretary. Her name is christy. She's been nothing but nasty to me every time I've needed to talk to her. Even calling for something as simple as my appointment time seems like she's being bothered. She has a horrible attitude. I'd give this place 0 stars if I could but I love my doctor. She needs to be fired. She's working in a place that there are people with mental health issues, she can't be giving people a bad attitude. My daughter has been seeing Dr Marseilles, and she thinks he is fantastic- but I wanted to review Gina, his admin- she is cold and rude- when your kid is suffering from PTSD, youre a bundle of nerves too, and quite frankly I wish Dr Marseilles had a secretary that was compassionate. I've been seeing Dr Wolfe for a few years. He's down to earth and intelligent. He's not condescending or a know it all and listens. He's open to my input and insight in my medical care with out feeling I'm doing his job for him. The office staff could always be friendlier but I imagine they deal with a lot of demanding and difficult patients with the line of medicine they are in. Most of the time they are friendly and get back to me in a timely manner. Cancellation policy is typical for medical practitioners and they are very clear about it up front so I don't understand why people are giving bad reviews based on that. I've had to pay two cancellation fees and it annoyed me but the doctors needs to cover his time. Appointments are lengthy so it's understood why they have a policy. It's a business. Tried to make appointment for my son and they can't see him for 4 months. A little frustrating but they did say they would call us with a cancellation. read more

Doctor Villasenor is a knowledgeable and compassionate Adolescent psychiatrist. We love how up-to-date he is on the current research related to helping our son. We also deeply appreciate how he wants input from our son as well as us ( parents) in how best to treat our son. He discusses all of the options and patiently explains the pros and cons before making a recommendation. We couldn't be happier with his treatment of our son. read more

Dr. Pae is an EXCELLENT doctor. What is a FAR CRY from excellent is his office setup. No humans EVER answer their phone. They have about 4-5 vague prompts and there is no way to know that the right person and/or department received the message. We have been basically stalking their office via phone every day, leaving voice messages on every prompt now to make sure the message eventually goes to the right person(s). It has now been OVER A WEEK. This is the worst office setup I've EVER experienced. Now it is way past the week and there is no way to get a prescription filled. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE ALL AROUND. This excellent doctor should not have such an implorable, worthless office and phone setup. The answering service at least answers when we have called after hours because 1: they answer 2: they are human and listen. These don't happen during regular business hours. How this place even functions is a wonder to me. How do I report an office and not the doctor? We are ready to sue these people. God help us all. read more

Just days ago I took my daughter to Alliance - and it was an emergency. It was critical to her well being. She met with a doctor and then asked the doctor to allow me to come in the room to be part of the meeting. I had about 15 minutes. The doctor recommended a program for my daughter which she entered within 3 days. She had some worries about the program and when I called Alliance back, to ask for another appointment with the same dr. to discuss whether this was the right place or not, the secretary - Gina - was unbelievably harsh toward me. In a raised, angry sounding voice, she told me that the doctor will not see her again until she completes the program and "I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU ARE SOUNDING SO SURPRISED!!! THIS WAS ALL EXPLAINED TO YOU WHEN YOU WERE HERE!!!" wow When you are a mom who is devastated by what you've discovered your daughter plans - a daughter you love more than anything in this world and your heart is already shattered, it's not surprising that I couldn't remember everything said that day. NEVER EVER, EVER, EVER GO TO THIS PRACTICE!!! They are thieves! Their billing rates are astronomical and they don't even care. They have no method of appointment reminders! Why is it that my hair dresser can send me a text reminder but they can't! And, they have the gaul to charge $175 missed appointment fee. First time! Who does that? On top of that I went with my daughter for an appointment and they charged her fee, plus a family fee totaling over $450 for 60 minutes! I wish I had read the reviews before starting here as I would have been hesitant. I'm informing my primary care doctor who referred us to this practice and letting her know how unethical their policies and rates are! STAY AWAY!!!!!! I didn't have an issue with this practice until recently. While waiting for an appointment, the doctor came out and called in a patient. As the patient was walking towards the door, Dr. Villasenor saw us waiting. He came back out a minute later and said he didn't see us and took the next patient ahead of us, that he'd make it quick and come get us. Keep in mind that we were NOT late to the appointment. Actually we were 5-10 minutes early! We ended up waiting about 45 minutes for him to finish with his other patient. This was annoying, yes. But it didn't really make us mad until a few months later when we missed an appt due to my infant being very sick, and we received a "receipt" in the mail from them charging our credit card over $160 for a missed appt! So let me get this straight, i make you wait an hour for us, and you get to charge my credit card $160+, but if you make a mistake and make us wait for you for nearly an hour, we get nothing? How is this kind of practice okay? It made me lose all respect for Dr. Villasenor! I'd never recommend this practice to anyone. As no one I know can afford to pay medical bills for appointments they can't make it to! read more

While I did like our doctor, Dr. Pae, the service received from other members of the staff that I have interacted with left much to be desired. They clearly do not understand customer service and have a "we are better than everyone" attitude. I had multiple conversations with various member of the staff regarding a change of insurance including prior to a schedule appointment which was never relayed on to the appropriate individual nor was I advised to contact that individual directly. Which that individual implied was my fault and that I should keep track of who should be contacted and what insurance carriers they accept. We are moving on due to this poor experience to a practice that has already called and emailed multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed and that they had what they needed and seem genuinely happy to have us as a client. read more

It is really sad too because the Dr. IS GREAT. Dr Villasenor is truly great. The support staff at the office should not have jobs. How can someone tell you that you can not order your meds through your mail order or you can not order meds and cut the pills in half if it is cheaper. I call my insurance and they say YES you can. If we could make this a -10 review we would. What doctor puts a 19yr old on Cymbolta without going over with the patience and or the parents of this child the side effect of getting off this drug! Our son was prescibed to take this drug and almost immediately did not like the side effects he was feeling. He took this drug for 2 weeks, ran out of the prescription on a Friday and could not reach the doctor to discuss how to get off the drug or even get a few extra pills to survive the weekend. Please, please ..anyone considering this drug...stop and read the side effects of wheaning yourself off this drug!! Very serious and potentially life threatening yet he was never told this by the doctor before being prescribed to take this dangerous drug? If I could make this doctor go through these hurendous side effects I would. Read the lawsuits against the manufacturer Lilly regarding this dangerous drug and consider the carelessness of any medical professional carelessly playing with your adolescents life!
